1988 Topps set break

Seeing which errors I can pull from these two 1988 Topp sets. Got a few!

Back in late 1988 my mom and I were out shopping at a chain store now out of business and I came across this set in the toy department and bought it. I remember going through it in the parking lot and coming across the Mcgwire rookie cup and the record breaker error and immediately became a Mcgwire fan and a baseball Card Collector.

Just picked up a bunch of junk wax boxes and 4 are 1988 topps. 1 is in the Topps regular box and 3 are in brown boxes so i will be looking for some error cards now. Also do u know anything about the Jose Uribe card, It's supposed to have some errors on it and have seen eBay prices with some having sold from $200 and up, any thoughts on that. It’s funny, the Uribe does have an error on his birthday, and just before COVID people started selling it for crazy amounts. Without really knowing about the card, people spent a lot for it. It sort of took off. Reality, the card isn’t worth much…if anything. But on the other hand, if someone is willing to pay for it, then one could argue it does have value.

@@pauliepacks Thanks for the quick response. Yeah I heard there were several errors on some of them. These boxes I just got look full so maybe his card is in it, I'll put it aside and do some further investigating

There's a rumor that a Jose Uribe ,I believe, 1988 error card is worth a ton of money. Is there any truth to that?

Maybe a dollar or two. When I do sell on eBay, I like to combine both the corrected and error versions together. That sometimes gets you more money. Course, if you get it graded, that potentially raises the value….but might not be worth the effort.
