This game is going to have to REALLY Take off in order for anyone to be added, and I just don't see it.
ThisIsRusko Smash Bros. is still alive, but it's dying. Not because it's not a good franchise, but because Masahiro Sakurai is leaving smash bros. I think that was the last game. Plus, I don't even think there is a deluxe version coming out or even a switch version. It was a rumor that just escalated too much.
It makes me so sad looking back at this game. So much missed potential for something big and original. Hopefully we get a sequel to this one day.

Opening in Awe Little Mac could be a low defense, shorter ranged character that deals heavy damage. Instead of having spring arms, he could have two boxing glove launchers in his hands. THIS COULD HAPPEN.

meh. just look how slow he attacks. he's huge and easy to hit, pretty much incapable of jumping, in a game in which jumping is one of the core mechanics and in general slow. Ninjara on the other hand...

mummy looks a bit overpowered
Not really. Big, slow characters are generally easy to hit in fighting games. Whereas a character like Ninjara focuses on avoiding hits, Master Mummy's abilities like not flinching and health recovery are more suited to a character that certainly will have to deal with a lot of damage being dealt to them. Master Mummy might be easy to throw too, making advances more difficult.
TheFurry27 large tank-like characters are almost never overpowered in fighting games because of how easy they are to hit. They also usually have low mobility.
Burro Ater he doesn't flinch, so it doesn't matter how easy it is to hit him. he regains health, while guarding.
so you could say "he may not flinch, but he still take damage", but you don't take damage, while guarding. he heals, by guarding.
it's broken
Guarding leaves you open for grabbing.
It like rock paper and scissor if you look at it.
guarding beats punching , punching beats grab and grab beats guarding.
TheFurry27 Usually it's the faster characters who are Top Tier, especially since spacing seems to be important here. I can guarantee that his block heal will be a necessity with how often you will have to eat hits.
This game looks so good and a lot of strategy you can do with the characters and weapons, not only combination of weapons but based on having the same weapon combo on either your left or right hands adds different strategies as well

I really hope there are more characters to choose from. Love the characters, love the weapons (maybe a little more would be good), but there isn't a big roster at all to choose from and that might get boring after a while.

Getting a batgurl vibe from him. in injustice she can teleport and do long combos but barely does damage. It's really satisfying using her

why does everybody thinks the ninja will be op when one can heal block and one can stun with charge even one can hover
Swoofty they'd probably have different damage outputs? Someone like Master Mummy would deal more damage but the attacks fly out slower, Ribbon Girl has it quick but would probably be weaker, etc etc

In my experience, characters with permanent hyper armour tend to be kinda broken
hopefully nintendo make the single player campaign a beat em up campaign. we need a throw back to beat em ups and beat em ups are in a position to come back some way some how.
