- Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing-Hymn Sing
Three verses: Two in C; One in Db
Verse 1:
Come, Thou Fount of ev'ry blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace.
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of God's unchanging love.
Verse 2:
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Hither by Thy help I'm come.
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home. J
esus sought me when a stranger,
Wand'ring from the fold of God.
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
Verse 3:
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let that grace, now like a fetter,
Bind my yielded heart to Thee.
Let me know Thee in Thy fullness;
Guide me by Thy mighty hand
'Til transformed, in Thine own image,
In Thy presence I shall stand.
Words: Robert Robinson, 1758; stanza 3 alt., 1931
Music: Traditional American Melody; NETTLETON
Played in such a quiet but powerful tone, which reflected perfectly the spirit of the song. Beautiful interpretation of this hymn.❤
