I've heard the 'brick through windshield' and the Jim Jones audios. FUCK that. Satisfying my morbid curiosity was not worth having memory of those sound clips. Another horrible one is the 911 call a woman made while her pet chimp mutilated her friend in front of her.
I made the mistake of going on liveleak was still around and I saw a video of a guy getting sucked into an industrial paper rolling machine. wasn't pretty and it still lives with me. I never got back on that site. this dude was sucked in arm first and squished like a tube of toothpaste all over the other side of the machine and wall. Like this was Final Destination type crap irl.
The bystander effect is something everyone wonders why it happens yet happens to everyone.
There’s an experiment that was done where a bunch of actors and one person not informed on the experiment were in a room that would fill with smoke. The actors were told not to react and the man who was unaware, also didn’t react as a result. It’s a very strange phenomenon. However, if ONE person reacts, everyone else will aswell.

This is exactly why scary youtube sucks nowadays imo, they used to be mostly centered around dumb urban myths like slender man and haunted videos. It was cheesy but now it’s pretty much 100% murder/r*pe/suicide/etc. I kinda get how being shocked by how terrible the real world is can be interesting on its own but it’s not fucking scary at all, it’s just depressing. Horror youtubers should move away from true crime and go back to art that is actually worth giving attention to.
