London’s Burning was the greatest firefighter drama for England, if anyone tried to make it again would fail due to it had so many amazing characters over the years
as far as I'm concerned there will never be a series to beat London's burning shame that they ruined it towards the end long may it remains one of the best show s of the 80,s 90 .s and some of the oo..s
They just DO NOT make TV like this anymore! This show should never have ended and should be recognised for the amazing piece of drama far more than it is!!!
Nicola McFall I so agree I don't now why they took it of TVs because all the other old sops are on like heartbeat so I don't know why they took londons burning off
Loved this programme growing up sunday 9pm Kevin was my favourite actor series 1-10 where the best brilliant londons burning been nothing since ultimate force i enjoyed but nothing else
Loved this series. First started watching this as a kid ever since then I wanted to join the fire service. And now I am working as a retained firefighter. And absolutely love it. Wish they could make another series
Just finished watching it all today. Started back in July and now it's finished. What an amazing show. I do somewhat remember seeing this on TV as it aired back when I was a kid and felt the need to watch it as an adult. I'll miss it, but too many of the best characters died so it just wasn't the same towards the end.
Thank you for putting together this great footage of what was Tv's greatest tv show my favourite character in the show was Bayleaf. Sadly James Hazeldine is no longer with us but he was the best. I love watching the Dvd's of the show.
Great show. Wasn’t born during it’s glory years. Glad I had the opportunity to see full episodes on UA-cam etc. This video sums up the best moments during London’s Burning. BRING IT BACK 👍
Great tribute clip! I have ALL episodes from Series 1 to 11 on DVD so far and hope to get the rest as and when they are released. Series 1 to 9 were fantastic, Its a pity from Series 10 there were less and less fire scenes. Series 14 had almost no fire scenes and the whole show became a soap rather than a drama. Not only that the fires from Series 1 to 9 were real. Im pretty sure from series 10 they were CGI generated to save money, as they didn't look as good as from series 1 to 9.
@@hannahparsonson7272 I agree. I read somewhere the reason why they switched from actual fires to CGI was due to budget cuts. There is one episode in Series 10 where a car got petrol bombed and it was so obvious the flames were fake. It looked rather naff to say the least. Having said that, there were two half-decent 'shouts' in Series 10. One was a paint factory fire and the other was a fire at a bus depot.
If I remember the series, it started with a scene in a memorial garden with posts for sicknote and joe. I think that was the first notification that they had died during the explosion in the previous episode
Patrick Clough one of those events in life that I remember exactly where I was when everything stopped so we could all watch that episode. (About 12 of us at a friends celebrating the birth of their son)
Ethnic (Movie) Vaseline (Series 2 1989 Final Episode) John Hallam (Series 9 Episode 5 1996) Nick (Episode 6? Series 11 1998) Sicknote and Joe (Series 12 Episode 16) and Recall (Series 14 Episode 1)
I don’t know what the London’s Burning writers were thinking, killing of some great cast members and keeping not so loved ones. I know some were for shocking moments, but really, Sicknote, Nick, Recall. When they killed John off, that was it, the show started to go downhill from there, and it was such a great show before then. Sicknote should’ve retired like bayleaf (RIP James), Nick should’ve been promoted, Recall found love and retired.
I loved watching LB as a kid, I would sit on bed and wait for it to come one and as soon as I heard the theme to LB, I would sit and stay quiet and smile every Adam Benjamin came on and my fave character was always Adam Benjamin (Samuel Callis)
@jacobmasta Good try, but watch them carefully, where are the flames? lol. I remember when they used to shoot up out of the windows... lol, yes I do know that when you see a real house fire all you see is smoke (before anyone points that out) lol. The complaint is the lack of flames in Series 14 compared to other series, who cares if it doesn't happen in reality, it looked good on TV!!
When this series was axed it was a shock but in billions of ways Londons Burning had turned into a pile of crap especially when series 10 to series 14 was on
Absolute Great vid a fav you may not think i'm londons burning fan buy looking at my channle but i'm mad on it can't wait till 29th june when series 11 come out.

@krazeekaz thats the problem with modern TV, they would rather make rubbish about people sitting in a house or about people embarrassing themselves on stage, or celebrates arguing in a jungle rather than make quality action packed programs which people can really enjoy. BING BACK QUALITY DRAMA!!! DOWN WITH REALITY TV SHITE!!!!!
Only series 14 used cgi. The budget for series 10 - 13 wasn't as big as previous years as ITV wanted to focus on "reality tv" to rival C4s Big Brother at the tme.
Shame this ended.but it was for the best they killed off too many characters.and also spent too much time showing the fire fighters off duty rather than fighting fires.its nice to see this on drama channel every afternoon.i forgot some of the story lines and fires
This Show just lost the plot with killing off good characters I can understand with Ethnic because its part of the pilot and Vasseline was for a shock factor but after John Hallam they just lost the plot and if the show went beyond series 14 they probably would have killed George off

The scene where Nick dies gives me chills seeing Blue Watch running in to the cinema despite not being rigged is very powerful!

Agreed

I have missed London's burning but I do now watch Chicago fire and station 19 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@Gilson Serafim
Already have the DVD’s of them, Gilson. Thanks though 😆👍
I hope to get the dvd boxset, so many memories
Rip Vaseline, John, Nick, Sicknote, Joe and Recall
Vasine was funny
Very touching
And Bruno the dog
@@hannahparsonson7272 Bruno never died... well, the character. The dog that portrayed him definetly is dead.

Robert Bryant so agree

The episode here 1:44 and the follow up when they search for Sub Officer Hallam and the 'leaf is arguably London's Burning at its best.

what a shame londons burning ended such a great drama

For Nick it's episode 8.
totaly agree, brilliant show, but it just was never the same when so many of the popular cast were killed off, such as recall, sicknote, etc.

John's death is one of my prominent childhood memories. I was 8 or so at the time.
Shit man he's gone
god i miss London's Burning
my friend bought me all the vids of the series for my birthday. I didnt watch it then tbh & she bought them for me as I like firemen!!

Thanks for that. Series 14 was quite dull compared to the others. I can't quite remember what the 'fire' shouts from Series 14 were like.

They should of showed the brigade funerals of Sicknote and Joe.
Sam Bridges I literally couldn’t agree more with ya
What episode was the factory collapse that trapped some of the crew under the lorry
That was a warehouse and it's Series 4, Episode 9
Bonus points for anyone who can name a fire shout from series 14 lol.
Fire at micks house 2 pumps only
Well there must have been at least 'ONE' shout! involving flames! (CGI or otherwise!)
