- In this video I share my process learning the intro riff/solo from Anastasia by Slash over three practice sessions. It was much more tricky to get down than I initially anticipated!

You did an amazing job covering this. I’ve listened to this song dozens of times and the intro is one of my favorite parts….🤘
Since I started watching your videos I started to practice guitar more, dedicate myself and have fun in the process. The Looper Tube tool has really been a great help!! seeing your progress and your learning process is really inspiring! keep up the good work Rachel!
So cool to hear that, glad you are having a good time with it! Thanks 😁🎸
Thank you 🙏 Rachelf! Love watching you learn and teach with such infectious enthusiasm. You inspire me to learn and play better! ❤️🤟🎸
So happy to hear that, thank you! :)
It was fun learning this! If you want to follow along and learn it too, I'm tuned down a half step to Eb. Also, you can loop/slow down the riff here: www.looper.tube/?v=YSpc7CrVrK4&s=37&e=78.8&spd=1 :)
Rachel, you’re so cool ❤🤗
Your progress.... playing...... gear..... all fantastic !! I am also going to add that your wardrobe is fabulous. 🎸♥

Definitely a great exercise for many things! Thanks :)

Nice Job!! You picked that up pretty fast. I've wanted to learn this to but kinda shyed away from it not sure if I wanted to put all the work in to learn it. It's a pretty epic Song.
just found your channel and i love your optimistic vibe!
Shred Queen making it look easy and killing it. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🔥🔥

This is a fun one to play. Nice job.
I absolutely love classical inspired guitar riffs, you did a great job with this as well.
Thank you! :)
Awesome!
Hi friend Rachelf. I plan on playing come as you are by Nirvana on my channel. Then MM's beautiful people. Then from there it's Bjork's Army of me.
Great job! I need your patience!
Too cool, turned out nice. Total classic Slash style. You killed it yo! :)
Thank you!
Nice job Rachel! I used your Looper to analyze a song for another person recently. It was very handy!
Thank you! So happy to hear that!
That is a surprisingly "shreddy" solo for Slash! I'll have to look up the song.
Thank you Rachelf for having created this "tool" , an idea of genius, a thousand thanks, I discover your channel and in addition to being radiant in you have a great talent that beautiful things for the sequel ;) + 1 subscriber
ps: sorry for my litle english "french" :)
Because of you I know have 7 guitars, 3 amps, and while I am not good at all, I sure as heck have a lot of fun!
That's awesome! Having fun is the most important thing :)
It is tricky 😉what a beautiful guitar - even your other guitars are very nice 😊
Awesome.. i also love this song..❤
I don't know how I hadn't heard it before! Really cool sound
@@RachelfGuitar yeah that is really cool riff.. i will try to learn that song too.. you inspired me 😊
You rock 🤘🤘🤘🤘
One more thing, your skills have improved a lot. You are freaking shredding and it’s so dang good. Never stop playing if that what your true heart and passion says. You are truly genuine, anyone can see it and is one of the reasons ppl sub to you. You are almost as good as me on guitar, lol. From what i can see you are going to pass me very soon. So i gotta keep up my chops so you don’t pass me. You will be my rival, Muuuuahahahahahahhaaha!!! you will not play the intro part of puppets the part with 01 2, 01 3, 01 4 faster than me. I pray to The James Hetfield, for him to give me the down picking strength to down pick at 1,000,000bpm!!! We’ve all heard the story of that incredible night when god James Hetfield pulled off the 1,000,000bpm down picking extravaganza. The low E melted and he actually scared his guitar in the process as well. No mortal had ever seen such a sight, until that fateful day. James you’re the best Metallica, Wooooooohoooooooooo!!!
Slash has still got it I think of him as the last guitar hero and you did an awesome job now find your own rhythm patterns and riffs and make some music😊
PINKY POWER! 😊
Yes!! This one is a great pinky workout for sure 😁🎸
Hi Rachelf, I'm new at guitar at 69. I've learned a few chords when I was a teen. I started playing drums around the same time and stuck with that. Now I want to learn guitar again. Can you tell me where you get the videos with the close ups of the guitarist playing the riffs? Thanks in advance. Dave
I also tried to play this riff for a while a while ago. What made me give up was getting confused by the little different positions I had to go through quickly and a specific "lazy" sound as if your fingers were sticking to the strings due to the fast required transitions and being convinced I cannot get rid of it because the lack of skill. Also the fact that I couldn't reach full speed. But maybe I was too hard on me.
Right on Bra, I honestly wish more girls were like you. The daring pool for guys would be so much less tense for guys to be able to approach and talk with girls. Just everything about you screams, i’m kool, i will treat you like you’re kool and we will have a kool badass time together. Also, it screams it’s ok guys i’m easy and fun to talk to, bc i won’t judge you in anyway. You just seem like the best person ever, and i want to thank you for being you and being an example of what a real woman. Now these are my opinions, if someone has a problem with it, go call someone who cares bc i don’t.
Bias FX 2 is the bomb.
Nice video mam love from India ❤❤
What aobut the intro fingerplay :D ?
Im am currently practicing on it .
Does Slash start each beat on an upstroke?
Woo woo woo.
Of all the guitarists I've watched progress from day one onwards, you seem to have developed the fastest.
After two years I'm still messing about with chords and exercises.
Aside from natural ability, would you say your journey was quicker because you stuck to learning songs rather than the mountain of "lessons" out there?
You've only gone and make me buy a guitar 🎸 and amp Rachel,i've been wanting to learn guitar for years, what should i start on .!!Thanks for any help .!!
Stash doesnt play tricky....but i still live his maniacal jams.
Pretty cool! It seems to me that you are slightly off on the tempo. Sounds like you were slightly faster/ahead of the beat at times. But I'm not a guitar player(although I'm trying to be one lol).
Nice amazing, all you need now is a les paul!
Did you tune down a half step ? :)
SOLO PLEASE😭😭😭
omgg this is sooo cool
cool Sounds like bach
\m/
can your neighbours hear the guitar? i tried using headphones to play but it feels weird (living in apartment block) idk...
I use headphones most of the time but record videos out loud, just not at super high volumes. Haven't had any complaints in apartments so far!
Beautiful and talented ❤️
original is bach

Makes me dizzy just watching you figuring out how to play it 😂.

Am I the only who thinks she looks like she's Adam Neely's sister? Are you Adam Neely's sister?? Respect.
You'll really excel once you begin to improvise and start doing your own thing. You pretty much limit yourself just doing covers. I started playing in 1978 and quit doing covers in 1984. I'd squeeze in 1 or to covers in song lists when playing out, but that's it. They were usually songs no one ever heard of by unknown prog bands. I have some old practice recordings uploaded to my channel.
You should have allowed us to listen to the whole thing first.
J. S. Bach hides in his grave..
Sounds French.
