Ok you got me. Tears and all! Thank you for bearing testimony. Your daughters, son and wife are fortunate to have you. Thank you for keeping your commitment.
This is a really beautiful testimony, simply told, thank you Josh. Your testimony as a convert mirrors my own. I prayed before I read the book of Mormon to know if this book was true. As I held it in my hands to begin reading it, an extraordinary feeling came over me that this book was indeed true, and that feeling strengthened as I began to read 1st Nephi. I seemed filled with joy and light. How much this Gospel has blessed my life ever since my subsequent baptism more than half a century ago. This gospel to me is 'a marvellous work and a wonder.' and I'm thankful every day for it.
Thank you, Josh. I am also a convert and at one point in my conversion, heard a voice! This quickly lead to a sequence of miracles and I was baptised August 1982.
I am a convert from Taiwan. I read the title of your clip and felt that I needed to hear it. I'm glad I did. I know exactly what you said about the clear voice you heard. We joined the church for the same reason: we read the BOM and we knew it is true and this is the true and living church of Jesus Christ.
I am so happy for you...What an amazing conversion story...I also have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that the Book of Mormon was true. thank you for sharing your testimony...
Thank you brother. We enjoyed hearing your testimony. We know there is a God. He is our loving Heavenly Father. We know the Book of Mormon is His word.
Beautiful testimony. It is wonderful to see a man speak of his love of God and his family and how a childhood friend, the missionaries, and the Book of Mormon inspired his journey toward the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Thanks for sharing!! Several years ago I served as a volunteer ‘investigator’ at the MTC where I had the advantage of knowing what the missionaries learning Spanish were trying to say. Countless times when they would share the story of the first vision, I would feel the overwhelming spirit that you felt when you first heard it. I KNOW it really happened just like Joseph Smith said it did,
Awesome this! I wish everyone were blessed to be touched similarly.... I think everyone who just lives faithfully eventually is; I just wonder why I'm blessed to feel such witnesses and to be believing, despite many experiences and reasons not to believe, when so many others don't seem similarly blessed. I am actually certain others living better lives than me haven't been blessed many ways I have. So let me just focus on my repenting, doing better and sharing more....
Beautiful story thank you for sharing!!! I love a good conversion story. And clearly you were overwhelmed by the spirit near the end. I love the spirit. Undeniable!
Thank you so much for your video and your testimony. Made me cry, and reminded me of how thankful I am for the truths that I am blessed enough to know through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know it...and I'm thankful that God is so good to be able to share that truth with so many millions of us around the world. I'm thankful He shared it with you, so that you could pass that spirit on to us!
Beautiful indeed. I have the opportunity to baptize my wife and sons 1.5 years ago and just got to receive my own endowment a couple weeks ago. We will hopefully be getting sealed this summer in the Orlando Temple!
How are you all doing, brother? Just want to congratulate you, and if there's any extra struggle or doubts or faith concerns since, to tell you to hold on trusting. It's all true and will be shown so in full in a future time, but today is a test of faith. Blessings come after we hold in faith. Love from New Mexico!
The Spirit touched my heart and even overshadowed the constant beeping in the background which normally would've driven me batty! Your honesty and sincerity strengthened my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the prophet who translated it and brought it to the world, along with Christ's restored gospel. Thank you Brother for sharing what you learned to be the truth!
What great testimony. I felt the Holy Ghost as you testified of your experience. I love conversion stories. I have a son serving in Oklahoma and I hope he has the opportunity to teach people like you. Your you children follow in your footsteps as a missionary. Thanks for sharing.
Hi this is Seth Dodge I'm watching this on my wife's UA-cam account. Thank you so much for sharing the powerful testimony and conversion story you were able to experience. On my mission sometimes I doubted that the Joseph Smith principal had the power that it claimed to have. However there were times that I too was floating out of those discussions. Thank you for sharing what you felt it means so much I know that others can feel the same. I was born and raised in the church I have six boys and three girls and I have a wonderful wife who was strong and my children know and understand the language of the spirit.
Thanks brother...for your powerful testimony. Isn t the gospel message an amazing gift for those of us who were not born into the church. The glorious message to know that our Father in Heaven loves us and wants to return home. Keep on keeping on
Josh, thank you SO much for sharing your wonderful conversion story! Not to mention your sincere and heartfelt testimony! I am a lifelong member of the Church and have had many incredible spiritual highs, as well as some deep lows, along the way. Lately there have definitely been way more lows and this video came to me like a drink of clear fresh water in the middle of the desert. God bless you and your family, including those four precious daughters (I have three, as well as two wonderful sons). Thank you again!
How are you doing, brother? Love and encouragement from another lifelong member and dad who's gone through incredible highs and deep lows too. The promises in the gospel and through the covenants are sure-God will honor overall faithful living in the long run, not necessarily in any specific ways in this life, and especially not necessarily equally blessing in comparison of one person to another in this life. These are major parts of the test of faith. God knows and loves the good you do and has grace and mercy for the rest. Be well :)
Thank you so very much for your testimony. I wept many times hearing it. The gospel is the good news and as we bear our testimonies to others it strengthens us all.
Thank you for this beautiful testimony! I will share this with some missionary friends of mine that are struggling. Made my week and I'm sure it will uplift them as well.
Please, tell them I know they are doing the right thing to serve as missionaries! It's not necessarily easy. I remember when I made the decision to serve, that I figured, in the worst possible cases that the restored church is false, or even if God doesn't exist, etc., and that I am plain deceived and wrong...I've seen enough, I see enough, to know that the gospel as taught in the church leads people to live good lives, to better themselves and their families, to be believing and positive, etc. And for this perspective alone, anyone can justify and hold their head up while and after serving a mission, to know that it is an act of good. Most "anti's" are (1) somewhere in bondage to sin, (2) somewhere offended by God or latter-day saints, and (3) generally, more negative and critical in downward-pulling ways, than positive and open-minded and willing to trust God and spiritual things they don't/can't see (and even socially and otherwise). No one needs to pay too much attention to people with those 3 problems/traits...it's not going to lead anywhere good, not for anybody. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited and spoke with Joseph Smith. An unbroken succession of apostles, prophets and priesthood continue to Russell Nelson today. The Book of Mormon is a true record and true witness of Jesus Christ. God will prove all things out, in the end; but for now, today, it's a necessary, intended trial of our faith. God's promises are true; they are long-term, majority for fulfillment after this life. We can choose belief and choose to act in faith. Acting as if it's all true will eventually bring and lead to knowledge and testimony it's all true (see John 7:17).
Interesting conversion story. Really enjoyed it. I'm a convert of 53 years. It's so life changing to have the church in your life. My life's been enriched beyond what I ever could of imagined.
Incredible conversion story. Thank you for sharing. The Spirit penetrated my soul while listening to your story. My paternal grandmother and my mother were both converts, and both formerly Presbyterian. My moms mom was Presbyterian while her father was Lutheran. Looking back a few generations of family history I found that I had family that was part of each main branch of protestantism. As I consider their beliefs on sola scriptura and the trinity my heart is filled with gratitude that each one of my protestant lines found their way to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Knowing what and who God is as our literal father, that we have a heavenly mother, that God prepared us all to come to earth and progress and plan for eternity fills my heart with joy. Over the years the Holy Spirit has repeatedly confirmed in my heart that God is behind the restoration of Christs church with apostles and prophets preparing the way of the return and reign of Jesus Christ for a 1000 years. I am excited for his eventual return.
Thank you. My dad and my husband are both converts. Absolutely know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the only true and living church on the face of this earth.
Oh my, I love this!!! What a beautiful conversation story! Thank you for sharing. I'm a convert to the church as well. I also made a video sharing my story on my channel. God bless you brother!!! You brought tears to my eyes.❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your conversation, I’m a convert also and have a testimony how the power of the Holy Ghost testify the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesuschrist.
Thanks for your testimony, I’m considering leaving the church because I have serious questions about it’s authenticity, but if it’s really the church of God then he led me to your video.
Hey thank you so much for your story and testimony. Conversion stories are so incredibly inspiring to me and yours is no exception. Don't mind these people who haven't had your experiences, it is something they simply can't understand. Thank you again, may God bless you and your family
Thank you for your conversion story and testimony. I am also a convert and can relate to your story. I too, joined because of a members example...let me clarify..I did not join because of it, but I did listen because of it and the rest is history. Satan is very real and tries very hard to use our own members to discourage and offend us sometimes. I've been thru the gauntlet, but I have stayed close to my relationship with my Father and Savior. The restoration and church today is lead by our Heavenly Father and that's what we stand firm with.
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt testimony and conversion story. Experiences of this magnitude with the Spirit are deep, personal and lasting, and can withstand the swirling doubts that abound in our culture today. There are different levels of learning: the Scientific method, the Analytical method, the Academic method and the Divine method, which taps into the power of Heaven through the Spirit. I'm always so curious to hear of skeptical Christians who downplay the "feeling" way of knowing God and his direction for us, in light of how Paul teaches about the Divine Method of “knowing” in 1 Corinthians, chapter 2, (which fits this conversion story perfectly): "And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
This just randomly popped up on my recommended videos to watch, thank you for your amazing conversion story and testimony brother! You give me courage to share the gospel, even if it’s in very simple ways, believing that the Holy Ghost can testify with power. I know that what you have said is true, it is remarkably similar to what happened when I first heard the account of the First Vision in Seminary, and I also testify in the sacred name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
Dear Josh, Thank you so much for sharing those very special and sacred experiences. Our Heavenly Father loves you for sure and I think you were good through out your whole life. I especially thank you for sharing about how the power and influence of the Holy Spirit spoke to your soul when you met with the missionaries for the first time. Just curious where in California did you serve a mission?
We may receive ‘knowledge’ from many many different sources and in many diverse ways ……. we call it ‘inspiration.’ Personally I would not be able to live very happily in this world of confusion without it. Awesome testimony, Jared!
True that. Emotional senses and spiritual senses seem to get often confused and confounded (this word has a very specific meaning; please, look it up if you don't know). Many people emotionally react when they feel the Spirit/Holy Ghost. The problem comes when people are emotionally sensing without the Spirit/Holy Ghost underlying it and then equate this as feeling the Spirit. In my experience, the best thing is not to worry about whether or how much and how many other people confuse or confound the two. Please, focus on you. Please, you learn the difference between the two. And ++please++ believe in God and His communication pathway of communication to our spirits through the Holy Ghost and our spiritual senses! Please, believe and know that God +wants to+ and will communicate to you spiritually, at some minimum pointS (emphasis on plural), so long as you are open-minded and open-hearted to it, and are consciously seeking to know and obey His commandments (those from scriptures and prophets) and will for you. For me, almost always if not always, what I call sudden, knee-jerk feelings are emotions from my neurons, while calm, slower and peaceful or quieter sensings are more often from the Spirit. The Liahona in the Book of Mormon had TWO pointers that +both+ had to align before spiritual direction was sure; for me, this is heart and mind being on the same page...neither one dominating the other and both having independent sense. I count spiritual sense as, perhaps, a third, invisible pointer. Final thought and recommendation for you is to discuss with your Heavenly Father in prayer your concerns about your ability to sense spiritually and to distinguish such from your neuron-based emotions (again, don't worry about or waste thought on what other people confuse and confound the two and how much; focus on +your+ relationship with God). Seek it, believe the difference and I know He'll help you. God will reach all sincere seekers and followers of truth. Give yourself and others patience and time to find truth and know that one common spiritual test and trial is for God to wait longer to show us truth than we are comfortable waiting; the key is to keep asking (in prayer), seeking (studying scripture and prophets'/apostles' words for answer) and knocking (with/by physical obedience)...+until+ He answers (see Matthew 7:7-11 and Luke 11:5-13)! "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14). Hope this helps! With love, your brother in New Mexico!
Thanku brother for sharing your conversion story, makes me cry feeling the spirit as you share your story ,love the gospel ,i am truelly greatful for the gospel,so thanku for sharing
It's the Holy Ghost you feel as you met with them. EVERY member, after their baptism receives this as a gift. Once you have it, it's yours for the rest of your life, it will help you return faithful back to your Father in Heaven. Previous to this every person born onto this earth are given the spirit of Christ. You may know it as conscience, a voice that comes within you. It will protect you if you really listen. It's an inner"light". It's where you get a moral compass a guide, a really great friend. We do make mistakes, were not perfect. So ask missionaries or a member you know..get yourself a book of Mormon. It will become a delight. 🇬🇧 15:04
Interesting. You used the words "I know it is true" several times during this story, however the only support you give for this knowledge is a "good feeling" and other believers making the same claim. A belief is simply a mental state of being convinced that a claim is true (or likely true). Knowledge is best defined as a Justified True Belief. Justified and True meaning there is sufficient evidence to support the claim and warrant your belief. From what you said it sounds like you are using the word knowledge in a way that means you are really, really convinced, but not because you are justified through evidence, but instead because you felt an emotion that you interpreted as meaning the claims are true. This is not uncommon in those who do not have a form grasp of the fundamentals of sound epistemology, but it is deffinitely not appropriate to call your feeling that you are right "knowledge". As for the Book of Mormon, if you have actually read it, then you know there are stories within the books that describe civilizations of millions of people who utilized iron-age technology. We have Zero evidence to support this claim. There is plenty of evidence of stone-age peoples living in North America, but deffinitely not people who have metal weapons and armor. Furthermore the animals described within the book are not all supported with archeological evidence either. You have accepted a bunch of stories at face value with zero evidence to back them up. This is dangerous and exactly how people are fooled into becoming pawns for Tyrants and easy marks for charlatans.
@Big Country I'm fully aware. The problem is that both books have no support for their sillier claims. In fact many of the claims in both books have been shown to be completely incorrect.
Aaron, you probably do not understand what Jesus meant when he said to Peter “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” That is called personal revelation, something that a few sincere people will receive, not every on believed in Jesus back when He was on earth or nowadays
@Big Country I notice that you responded to the Indian part of my comment but did not respond to the "read the Bible" part. Should I assume you did not comment on that part because you are aware of how blasphemous the Lds view of the Bible is. Plz Check out this history ... ua-cam.com/video/kTOWAgNDIDE/v-deo.html
@Big Country What denomination are you affiliated with?? I agree with you that salvation is by faith ALONE. And that GOD does not TORTURE people forever!! Problem with your comment is,,, the Bible does NOT say that anyone will be "tortured"!!! It says eternal torment.... which means unbelievers will be haunted by their own guilt forever. The fire is never quenched, the smoke goes up forever, the worm never dies = these phrases mean : the agony of regret will always be upon them. You claimed that it is not proper to think that "God could possibly lose the overwhelming majority of His creation" --- Well, the Bible says -- the road that leads to destruction is wide & easy, and *MANY* will go down that road.... and the other road that is narrow, leading to life, *FEW* will find.
@Big CountryWhy do mormons ALWAYS contradict themselves when discussing doctrine?? What you just said is NOT what you said earlier. Earlier you said just the opposite. Mormonism causes nothing but confusion.
@Big Country In addition to my response directly above .... take the time to listen tho this video -- all the way thru please. ua-cam.com/video/eHkEeTRrmWo/v-deo.html
When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..." Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan. OR B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
2023 and people are still moved by your testimony. Almost skipped over this. Glad I didn’t. Very moved by it. Thank you so much for sharing.

Loved your testimony. Thank you for sharing

Amen. Thank you for sharing your testimony.
That’s a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing!
What a wonderful sincere testimony. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you so much for your testimony. It is a wonderful story that brought me to tears.
This touched me so much!
Thank you!❤
Thank you for your conversion story and testimony.
I'm always so curious to hear of skeptical Christians who downplay the "feeling" way of knowing God and his direction for us, in light of how Paul teaches about the Divine Method of “knowing” in 1 Corinthians, chapter 2, (which fits this conversion story perfectly):
"And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
Love it, thanks for sharing brother!
Nice to know things aren't all bad. What a tool for good mass communication can be.
What an awespme testimony ! Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you so much for sharing your story it was very uplifting!
Beautiful story. ❤🙏🏽
This just randomly popped up on my recommended videos to watch, thank you for your amazing conversion story and testimony brother! You give me courage to share the gospel, even if it’s in very simple ways, believing that the Holy Ghost can testify with power.
I know that what you have said is true, it is remarkably similar to what happened when I first heard the account of the First Vision in Seminary, and I also testify in the sacred name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
.I'm so grateful for your testimony!
Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. It's a powerful story.
Fantastic...
Thanks for sharing Josh!
Love it bro!
We may receive ‘knowledge’ from many many different sources and in many diverse ways ……. we call it ‘inspiration.’ Personally I would not be able to live very happily in this world of confusion without it. Awesome testimony, Jared!
Very honest and genuine and respect to that. What holds me back is that it always seems emotion based
Just try to see the beauty of the emotion! It comes because the Holy Ghost testifies of truth when spoken. It is joy unspeakable!

Thank you for sharing your testimony 😊
Thank you.
Thanks a Lot to share!!
That was great
Amen 🙏
💜💚❤💙💛
Satan is Father of lies so there will be opposition to that that is of the most worth to men.
The truth is just a click away Josh...Keep clickin'.....
Plz beware!
2 Corinthians 11:14
Even Satan can disguise himself to look like an angel of light!
Yep. And did you find out how you can tell the difference?
Fruits my friend
Just curious, why did you make this at a busy airport? Lol
I think you have to deep study the church history or read ces letter pdf and you will know the real truth..
@Big Country nope.
@Big Country I'm fully aware. The problem is that both books have no support for their sillier claims. In fact many of the claims in both books have been shown to be completely incorrect.
@Big Country how do I take down a video I didn't put up on UA-cam?
Aaron, you probably do not understand what Jesus meant when he said to Peter “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” That is called personal revelation, something that a few sincere people will receive, not every on believed in Jesus back when He was on earth or nowadays
Please search "chiasmus"
Plz research Native American Indian DNA
and read the Bible. Read especially Galatians and first 5 chapters of Romans.
You claimed that it is not proper to think that
"God could possibly lose the overwhelming majority of His creation" --- Well, the Bible says -- the road that leads to destruction is wide & easy, and *MANY* will go down that road.... and the other road that is narrow, leading to life, *FEW* will find.
@Big Country Okay... than how can you boldly proclaim faith alone ... when that is not in agreement with Lds doctrine??
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..."
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan.
OR
B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
Thank you for your testimony 👍
Thank you Josh for sharing your beautiful testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
