yeah, unlike most known publishers that I see and think "urgh. I hope they didn't screw this up", seeing Devolver (or Annapurna, for that matter) doesn't immediately turn me off. They usually publish interesting games.
Katana Zero should have made this list, imo. Devolver Digital has so many good games, an honorable mentions section would have been great. I also love The Red Strings Club, Crossing Souls, Stories Untold, Reigns, Enter the Gungeon, Broforce, Dropsy, and Ronin!
Im so glad Downwell is on the list so it gets more exposure. Downwell is one if the most addictive games ive ever played in my life. Absolutely try it and its available pretty much EVERYWHERE ❤ Also, the Swords of Ditto is another one from Devolver, a fantastic snes zelda like game. Looks gorgeous and plays beautifully. I feel not not a lot of people talk about it. Right now its on sale on Nintendo eShop for just $4 😮 come on people give it a try 😊 Devolver Digital and Wayforward are 2 indie devs I think I own almost all of their games 😅 cuz theyre awesome 😎 Fun fact: Wayforward made the NDS version of the game Thor God of Thunder that turned out to be a FANTASTIC beat em up action-adventure. Absolutely try it.
Devolver puts out heat after heat. I’m not so much into deck building games myself but Inscryption looks dope! Gris is an awesome game and I’m really enjoying The Messenger after beating Sea Of Stars. I can’t wait to see what they publish throughout this year. Appreciate the video! 🤙🏻
With the success of Sea of Stars, I hope that The Messenger will get a retail physical release. It's nearly impossible to find a copy of the first release of the game on any format for less than $150 at this point and the Switch version goes for closer to $250+. A classic game like that really deserves a larger physical release so the average gamer will actually be able to afford a copy.
lol I remember the samurai pizza cats. but I never watched too much of it. I do recall it had some kind of catchy theme song though. Also carrion really does feel like carnage, never even noticed this lol. Also amusingly, it is the name of another Spider-Man villain, that is sadly not a symbiote.

Katana Zero: Surprised you didn't talk about this one cause I see this as Hotline Miami from a different perspective. Cult of the Lamb: BLASPHEMY that you didn't put this here, the fact that you can run a group of mindless followers, build and maintain a glorious land in your name, battle heretics, get new power ups and relics and most recently make your followers have kids makes this an experience any madened wannabe ruler should try. PRAISE THE LAMB, PRAISE THE GOD OF DEATH!
This is like saying it was a good idea for Starfield to have a 1000 empty planets because it is realistic. Realism should not matter as much as fun. It's a video game not real life. A map would have made the game more fun.

Hotline Miami collection on the switch was one of the first indie games I purchased when I started getting into them. Absolutely loved them
