- Lourdes is a town in southwestern France, in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. It’s known for the Sanctuaires Notre-Dame de Lourdes, or the Domain, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. Each year, millions visit the Grotto of Massabielle (Grotto of the Apparitions) where, in 1858, the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to a local woman. In the grotto, pilgrims can drink or bathe in water flowing from a spring. Pilgrims may visit in the belief that they may be cleansed of their sins, and millions of visitors come to Lourdes each year in the hope of being cured because it is believed that spring water from the grotto can heal people if they are sick.
The Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, known widely as the "Upper Church", is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica within the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. Constructed between 1862 and 1871 and consecrated in 1876, it was the second of the churches to be completed.

oo nga lodz, ito siya tourist destination talaga dahil dito sa grotto. pero maganda pumunta dito yung di masyado matao kasi ma enjoy mo hindi pila papunta sa grotto.

It's a lovely video - but I've never seen Lourdes so empty. In summer there are multitudes.
Hello, just wondering what day and around what time when you came to the grotto. I notice that it's not crowded. Other videos I have seen before it's packed in the grotto. I will go in September 2023. Just need some pointers. Thank you for sharing your video.

yes they do Italian mass, also Spanish, Latin not only French 😊 i guess because a lot of tourist visited this place.

month of march yan sis as i remember march 9 this year. morning ,afternoon and night naman mass nila diyan sis.
Sunday Masses. Saturday Vigil Mass: 5:15pm. Sunday: 8:00am, 9:45am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 5pm (Tamil/English), 7:00pm.
Weekday Masses. to Friday. 8:00am, 12:10pm, 5:15pm. Saturday. 8:00am, 12:10pm.

@@polang1234 santuary of Lourdes po is open 6am to midnight. check niyo rin po sa website nila kong merun nag bago sa schedule. mas maganda po pumunta yung walang okasyon ang simbahan para po ma enjoy niyo talaga pero kasi pag madaming tao mahaba ang pila sa groto.
