I miss when Kanye was innovating with every album to the point where the drop was “ah idk how much I like this” then after a listen through or two it’s a generational classic. Now I keep giving albums multiple chances just to be let down
the reason i like vultures 2 is bc it matches who he is now. i get to listen to what a guy who isn't over his mom's death high on nitrous and insecurity is rapping about. it's performance art at this point, and ive never been his biggest fan. great producer, mid rapper imho. i dont listen to leaks bc i dont follow him up like that. his diehard fanbase naturally hate it bc this is a completely different person that the guy they grew to love. why is it that when yeezus came out it sounded like some guy with a god complex who thought he could do anything and people would eat it up? bc that's who he was. why call it the life of pablo? bc he's an abuser and narcissist? interesting inspiration, ye. as for the unreleased stuff and constant changes he makes, he's insecure. again, matches who he is. he's still a good artist. he just a detestable human and so his art reflects that.

People are gonna say, "Nitris slayed my goat." But, the problem is that Kanye has been this way even before the addiction. Kanye is addicted to fame, whether good or bad, and let it rule his life. He created this god complex that took control of his life and influenced everything he touched. He hasn't had a good complete album since MBTDF. He has moments but has been too far in between. And, he will give you the bare minimum cause he knows you won't question it. From his antisemitic comments to his misogyny and his racial and political outburst, Kanye is doing it to himself. I wish him well, but he needs to stop making music and get his house in order.

This is all my speculation so take it with a grain of salt. I think he been messed up mentally since that car crash back in ‘02. Losing his mom only pushed him to rely on substances to relieve whatever he was suffering from emotionally and mentally. Using those substances only caused more damage to his mental. And imagine the pressure of being one of the biggest cultural icons on the planet. When he made his song Never See Me Again, he was planning ending things permanently. Thankfully he never went through with it and found a reason to continue living. Unfortunately, looking back at how everything turned out, it feels like the success following MBDTF has been slowly killing Kanye.

He really would do well if he just focused on beats again. It's like he doesn't care anymore. His rap game is becoming elderly. I really tried to listen to Vultures and it was just. I only downloaded one song that I kept, and it was the instrumental for Slide. THE INSTRUMENTAL. And I have to clip it because the piano bit is too long lol.
@YouKnowMeDuh I feel the same. Nowadays, most of what Kanye makes doesn't interest me or isn't made properly. His Drake diss was bad, but the upped instrumental of Like That was great
