I understand the wendigo. Explain the skinwalker. Shapeshifting assholes whose great sin is killing a family member to gain the power. The shift is complete. No wherewolves or 2 legged coyotes. What is the creepy aspect of it? Unless it starts screaming as a fox sneaking arou d to fuck with me or turns into a grizzly most animals out there can be taken out relatively easily with just a knife.
I have been waiting for you to cover this one and you did NOT disappoint! Thank you for including such a detailed background and discussion on Wendigo Psychosis. That was fascinating. Morbidly fascinating, but still. ;) Thank you for another great video!!
Well researched & awesomely presented, my friend! When times have been extremely "lean," it's somewhat understandable that cannibalism would occur. However, it's quite a different thing altogether when humans murder others for the sake of cannibalizing on their flesh! That's where the "Wendigo Psychosis," comes into play. Interesting phrase there, by the way! I hadn't heard that terminology til watching this! I learned something new! Very cool! Excellent work!🤘🌍🌈
I’ve encountered this awful thing in northern Alberta in the summer on 2019 shortly after the death of my dad. It was one of the strangest and most frightening things I’ve ever experienced.
It isn't a great movie, but Antlers is probably the best Wendigo I've seen. It is very creepy and very disturbing. It is a genuinely terrifying monster.
@@marinakaiser7639 It doesn't get good until the halfway mark but once it gets going it's pretty great. They just spend way too much time trying to build the vibe and give us backstory on the teacher. Stick with it though because the end is pretty solid.
I loved Antlers, it’s the only horror movie that has made me feel any kind of fear when I find horror movies repetitive and blatantly cliche as hell. I really hope they make a second movie cause they do set up a potential sequel to that story

Hey, thanks for highlighting the geographical and cultural origins of this myth, with its international popularity in recent decades, many don't know. Now, lets just change Algonquin to Anishinaabek, and Algonqian languages to Anishinaabemowin, and we're all set

@@tomv7017 you may like to know that the thing that one can fight evil with is the name that the Creator calls himself. In ancient scripture He calls himself Yehovah, and his name is described as a mighty tower that we can run to for protection. He was the father of these spirits when they were good. They rebelled against him and fear his name. Anyone calling out Yehovah's name will see the power of that name. Please remember, the spirits hide and oppose this name and everyone should know it.

The term wendigo is synonymous with narcissist. Emotional vampires sucking your aether dry. It’s my favourite word these days because those who are narcissists cannot perceive their narcissism because it’s a trauma disorder. Want to see a magic trick? Call a narcissist a narcissist. If they are one they will reject every bit of you with rage it’s hilarious. It means they’re not your kind of people this lifetime.
Yup it’s the demon that cursed the Micmac burial ground and killed Gage on the road and possessed the dead bodies of animals, Timmt baterman, Gage Creed, Gus Gilbert, Zowie etc and turned them into cannibalistic deadite like creatures
Suppuration is the process of pus formation, a viscous liquid that consists mostly of dead and dying neutrophils and bacteria, cellular debris, and fluid leaked from blood vessels.
