Noble is best of the series, knows all sorts of questions, history, science, music etc. Whenever the other teams get the starter question wrong, or when neither team knows the answer, he's always the first one to push that buzzer and guess, and he's often correct
St Johns will surely get rid of Edin, but I think Newcastle will give Merton a run for their money. Either way, I agree it's great to have guaranteed female representation for both finalists, and all of them strong contributors. One day we might even see something approaching gender balance across the whole series.
I hope John's do - Edinburgh are a nice team but one of the weaker ones that's managed to get through. But they just seem to be really, really lucky. Could be an upset here if John's underestimate em... But yes I think a McKeown Woodland final looks likely!
Winner as expected. Newcastle have had tougher oppositon and were always in the running in previous matches. More deserving team. Mind you, a team of med. students drawn from mutliple teams would also be formidable (Maloney for example, is excellent, add Nielsen, Reynard ...)
Those ECG interpretation questions weren't really fair---if it fell on the other team, they wouldn't stand a chance answering them! Although, I am surprised Nielsen and Reynard missed those last 2 ECG questions considering they are studying medicine.
I wonder how many maths-challenged tweeters/UC fans deleted their awestruck comments from here and Twitter after they found out that the Pascal's Triangle answer was no big deal :P

James Burgess He taught at my school for a few months.
That Pascal's Triangle answer was MENTAL
i bet answering that felt better than sex.
Yep, coz he had to add 1+2+3+ ... in his HEAD as no pen and paper... TaihuLight!
Leopoldo Petrieska they wouldn’t know
Mr Noble was my maths teacher for a few months ahah. He changed his mind on being a teacher and packed it in
He is THE Mentalist
Noble was superb - and very likeable as he doesn't have any smugness. Newcastle to win!
Stafford Ahoy noble was briefly a teacher at my school
Ben clough Same here

McKeown v. Woodland for the final? With Fitz out, a female on all 4 SFs and Finals teams :)))

Memorising is one thing but answering impromptu on pascal. That needed some very quick calculation i think. UC is great
Noble the noblest of them all.
Nielsen all the way! Wow, what a contestant!
Good to see Paul Morley captaining Newcastle
26:45 is the best part of this episode.....

Noble is the strongest contestant in this year's edition.

Maloney reads medicine too
@Buncha Areerob, you're right---I stand corrected.
...which makes the "You're going to be a doctor, aren't you" sting worse for Maloney.
Eric Forsyth
I think he said that to Nielsen, to which she replied 'allegedly' if memory serves me right :)
Sandroid Yes. And this after Maloney got the question wrong (implying that he isn’t)
27:56 Jeremy it wasn't "maths" per se; just memory. (Nevertheless still impressive Mr Noble :)
Y I man ya fooken bostad
Noble seems uneasy there always fidgeting.
