Hey Lincoln!! It would be cool driving over in Europe!! Butters drove a friends work vehicle in Australia before, on dirt roads!! LOL (on the other side of the road)!! You have to totally shift your mind set!! Thanks for sharing and much love!
Kiss the blarney stone lol, you did great Lincoln i would drive with you any day. Looking forward to the smaller road vids when you are relaxing a bit more, Holly is the best navigator bar none.
You keep drifting to the yellow line on the motorway. I did the same when I was there in 2019. Unfortunately, I was on a smaller road and hit the side curb (several times) the first day I was driving. I ended up getting a flat and having to change a "tyre" in the Cliffs of Moher parking lot,.. I mean "car park". I theorized that the problem is that I feel that my body, when driving, is used to being in the left part of the lane, causing me (and you) to somewhat subconsciously push the car to the left.
As I’ve said before - I believe it’s about 30-40% of the worlds countries drive on the left. It’s the same for those of from the UK or Ireland - driving in America or Europe etc. We experience the same thing to you. I find it takes about a day - then it feels natural.
That's so weird driving on the wrong side of the road. Wrong side for us Americanos anyways . Been a long time since I drove a stick too. That would be weird also have to left hand it. Glad u didn't end up in a ditch .
i know how you feel lincoln. being from australia my first time driving in the states was scary.. but after the first day i got the hang of it... once out of los angeles and into the desert it was a breeze. keep up the good work . enjoying your vlogs.
I don’t remember having to pay to park in the small towns. I know the first time we parked in a small town, I asked the bartender in a pub if I needed to pay and he said no, and I was surprised lol
We can relate to this😂 We had these same conversations in the car on our UK trip😂 You did a great job! Those narrow roads can be a bit scary but the motorways aren’t too bad!
I know the feeling Lincoln when driving in Switzerland last year on the opposite side it was scary going up those mountains. You did very well though and you managed to get to your destination unscathed so all good 👍🏻👍🏻
As a terrified non-driver, all those gear changes used to paralyze me. I had two lots of lessons - both for 6 months. If I ever try again I've always said I'll do it in an automatic and go for an automatic license. You can't drive manuals ('stick') with an automatic license. How does this affect Americans?
@@LincolnintheAdirondacks Nowhere in the end aha, my brother drove as haven't been driving nearly as long so wasn't feeling too confident lol! - but we picked the car up in Florida, and drove to South Carolina - Eliza
When on the motor just take your time especially when coming in and out of dublin it can be quite hectic , also try some of the back roads you'll come across some nice scenery along the way
See, this would be a blast and hysterical with a partner in the car. I’d laugh non stop. Figuring this out by myself...I’m going to have a stroke, no joke. 😂🤷♀️
@@LincolnintheAdirondacks next time you do, contact me here, if coronavirus doesn't get me and kill me I'd be delighted to meet you two and show you around
You were being filmed and that still counts here Really tight rules, Even if your passenger is holding a phone or camera, ( or it is hands free mounted) the driver cannot "interact" with it if that makes sense.
I’m assuming this is in reference to he pronunciation haha I’m traveling, so I can’t check for sure. I struggled with it, that’s for sure!!! Lol I was originally saying it kill-Kenny, and then someone corrected me... but I guess I never fully got it!
conks the car and blames the car company. Renaults are fuckin bullet proof, there's a reason Mercedes, Nissan, Dacia, Infiniti and now Bmw have purchased the Renault 1.5dci engine
I am sure at 2:39 I just saw you speed right past a sign saying "Yield"!
he did
Yello line is basically for you to pull in if car breaks down or stuff like that
Ahhh the pronunciation of Kilkenny

Great video...not sure I could drive there! How was the weather in Oct? Amount of rain and temps?
Kiss the blarney stone lol, you did great Lincoln i would drive with you any day. Looking forward to the smaller road vids when you are relaxing a bit more, Holly is the best navigator bar none.
Where would I be without her?! Probably still lost in Ireland!!

I am too! Lol I drove a stick in Scotland last year, but aside from that, it’s probably been 6-7 years since I drove a stick.
I just booked my rental car for my upcoming trip, and I requested the bubble wrap car feature.

I’ve never driven in LA, but I’ve heard it’s awful! I can’t imagine how nerve wracking that must’ve been for your first time driving in the USA lol.
I noticed parking in some of the small towns are parallel parking, but do you have to feed the meters?
I don’t remember having to pay to park in the small towns. I know the first time we parked in a small town, I asked the bartender in a pub if I needed to pay and he said no, and I was surprised lol
I can understand its very hard I think you managed quite well nice share 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Driving there is super easy once you do it a few times I think, nice video 👍
Did you go through a give way junction at 2:40 without slowing down???
yep too busy talking and not paying attention
Its Kill-ken-e
Kilkennny
Thank you!
Holly is so ADORABLE! You did great driving on the other side of the road. I'm glad it wasn't me. 😂
Haha it’s getting easier by the year!!! That’s the good news I guess lol
It's even scarier for us Irish having to negotiate the lrish roads around Americans.
We can relate to this😂 We had these same conversations in the car on our UK trip😂 You did a great job! Those narrow roads can be a bit scary but the motorways aren’t too bad!
Agreed! The motorways are quite alright. The narrow roads are a whole different ball game 😂
I know the feeling Lincoln when driving in Switzerland last year on the opposite side it was scary going up those mountains. You did very well though and you managed to get to your destination unscathed so all good 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh Switzerland was probably wild!!! I wanna go there. Such a beautiful country

It doesn’t. Our license allows us to drive both and there’s no designation on the license as to which you can drive
Holly always freaking out and you’re not even attention for GPS 😂❤️
Lollll yess she was a bit scared at times 🤣😂
Haha im the complete opposite. when i went to the USA was terrified of driving on the right side of the road lol!
Haha where did you drive?!
@@LincolnintheAdirondacks Nowhere in the end aha, my brother drove as haven't been driving nearly as long so wasn't feeling too confident lol! - but we picked the car up in Florida, and drove to South Carolina - Eliza
"Danger kills" 😂😂😂
You really gotta watch out for danger...it's...dangerous XD
This is really interesting to watch cause Im on the Dublin to Kilkenny motorway a lot cause it goes through my county 😂
Haha! Any tips for next time?

Thank you! We had a blast making it. Have you ever driven on the opposite side of the road from what you’re used to?
@@LincolnintheAdirondacks No not yet I'm from the uk so used to it but want to go to the USA so will need to drive on the other side then !
Haha I'm from Kilkenny, I hope you liked it. It's pronounced Kill kenny though haha
It’s a cute city! Would love to visit again someday
@@LincolnintheAdirondacks next time you do, contact me here, if coronavirus doesn't get me and kill me I'd be delighted to meet you two and show you around
It must be really strange going from USA roads to UK roads but you smashed it 👌 can't wait for the next video about castles!
It definitely is. When we came back to the states, I once pulled out into the left lane 🤣😂
Ireland is not part of the UK.
Christopher Byrne I think he just means driving o the opposite side of the road. Joe is from the UK lol so he knows it’s not
Lincoln Riddle
That’s cool.Come back and see us again soon.
Joe Travel blogs Irish roads not UK roads
Haha your wife did not like you being in control here
🤣😂 she was a little bit scared!!! The narrow roads that we went down later in the week made her even more nervous 🤣
Kilkinny 🤦♂️
Just aheads up to all watching it is illegal to use your phone or Take part in being filmed while driving in UK, Ireland and Europe, a £3,000 fine
I'm confused by this comment. I didn't use my phone in this video?

It’s Kilkenny not kilkinny 🤦🏼♂️
Kilkenny is pronounced Kill-Kenny, not Kill-Kinny
Thank you!
Less talking more paying attention to road signs
Say kilkenny again 😂😂
0:48 killkenny lol
