- Penelope Cruz plays the onscreen love interest of her real-life husband Javier Bardem in "Loving Pablo, "for which Javier had to gain weight and grow a mustache to play the drug lord. The actress admitted to Ellen she disliked his look so much, that after filming she never wanted to see his Pablo character again.

Bardem is not humble at all, at least in Spain. He behaves as a diva when he comes here. He doesn't go to Spanish tv programmes, he despises his fans (I saw it in Allen's film Vicky, Cristina...)he hasnt got any sense of humour, and I think he's an overrated actor. There are many more better actors in Spain than him, Javier Cámara , Luis Tosar...But Penelope knows where she comes from and respects fans, she's a politer person...
