Thank you for the video Tim. I am fortunate to have an extra room that I was able to transform into my workshop.
Really nice to go over the often used tools to get people started. As we get older the tools do seem to accumulate and it may seem overwhelming for people just getting into our hobby.
    Stay healthy.

Thanks for showing us your shop and explaining the necessary and extra tools required for the type of modeling that you do. I was surprised to realize that I had most of them, I also put together Guillows models and thoroughly enjoy watching another builder do the same. All of your conversion step-by-step video's are absolutely wonderful and appreciated.

A couple additional items that have been useful to me: a gram scale to check weights of components for small builds; and motor thrust/amp test set up to get the right motor-prop-esc-battery combo for my builds. Oh, and band-aids!

Thanks Tim. I had a minimalistic setup as a teenager for building Guillow's rubberband models. I am looking forward to getting back into building these but with RC motors. Wish I still had the dozen models I made in the 60s and 70s to retrofit. Glad to know this is a low cost set up.

If you are lucky to have one nearby, consider becoming a member of your local make space. They may give you access to 3d printers and laser cutters. The laser cutter inparticular is such a lovely tool (if you know how to use CAD software). Nothing beats how fast and precise it is for making several identical pieces from fragile materials.

The paper of dollar store foam board is easily removed after you sprayed it with 50% rubbing alcohol/water mix. Peels of in one sheet about 30 seconds after you sprayed it, in particular the black paper (which soaks up the mix better).

Very interesting as always ! Thank you for taking the time to produce and post those nice videos...Your channel is unique in the fact it explains the basics of R/C, unlike many other R/C channels where you only see 100mph R/C jets every week !!! The wind is calmer and more relaxing on your channel !!😄

Tim -- I don't have a building board as of yet. I see your Guillow's board is no longer available I see others use hollow or solid core doors with sheetrock but, what you have in size is more realistic for building. I don't have room for a Door! Something like the size on your bench to me looks about right. Say 14 - 16 inch wide and 46 - 48 inches long I think would be big enough to build the models I'd like to build.
So, what would suggest making a Build Board out of --- and suggestion on building it.?
    Thank You ----- Rodney

Rodney: You raise a good point, I need to do a video on this. Do a Google search for RC airplane building boards. www.FlyHobbies.com had a Great Planes board that looked good. Also, folks have used ceiling tiles on a plywood base. Tim

I use the Guillow balsa work board. You can try Google that, not sure if Guillows still carries. But may be available on Ebay, etc. Tim
