I do enjoy these sort of ideas and i have practiced Wing Chun myself but i still remain skeptical in a physical sense whether or not this sort of idea is useful for real aggressive and violent conflicts. Holistically and spiritually it is great for the body and when used in close quarter situations against individuals with no skill or knowledge it might work 9 out of 10 times but against violent people with real intent to harm especially if you don't see it coming i can't see this being useful in a physical sense.

If you brought these techniques into a real fight with a physically resisting opponent you would be killed where you stood. Check Wong Shun Leung, he was well-known for winning street fights. Ip Man encouraged his students to test their skills in fights (in case they were threatened). I also know people who succesfully defended their asses in a fight using wing chun. But if you want to beat the living shit out of someone and boost your ego, well...
