That’s a defensive mechanism that young deer do. It probably thought you were a deer or something familiar and then realized you’re scary. They lay down and freeze so that the “predator” will chase after momma.
The baby deer was just saved from a net. The mama deer stopped in front of a truck made him stop he got out and she wouldn't move even though he was trying to scare her off. Then he thought to follow her and 10 minutes later he finds the baby in the net, and releases her. Well on his way back to his truck the mama and baby met up with them again. Mama stood there as baby ran to him, kneeled as a way to say thank you and let him give him pets. He pet the moms lower jaw quite a few times before she led him to her baby.

Well for one, they aren't people. They're wild animals. Most of us hunters don't even harm a doe with a fawn since we have respect for the population and the ecosystem. We hunt for food, and it's much more expensive to buy the equivelant amount of meat at a super market than it is to get a deer on your own, plus we enjoy going out in nature.
@@battleship6177 Humans are animals. We are all animals and people. All i hear are excuses why you hurt animals. Hunters are the weakest in character and vibration. Animals aren't food. It's not meat, it's violence. You can eat plants and grow in your garden rather than taking God's innocent creatures lives. Killing isn't kindness. Be kind instead. May God have mercy on animal abusers for they don't know better.
@emekecho2024 hol up... If you're gonna bring God into this then there's just one small problem: God literally gave us permission to hunt, but also told us to not be wasteful and actually eat the animals we kill. Not only that, he gave us dominion over the entire animal kingdom. And in terms of calling let's say Deer people, this is not so. Since people is a multiple of persons, said is defined as the following: A Human Beaing regarded as an Individual A category used in the classification of pronouns, possessive determiners, and verb forms, according to whether they indicate the speaker ( first person ), the addressee ( second person ), or a third party ( third person ) Or you have the Christian Theology definition talking about the Trinity, of which Deer aren't any of such. Deer also aren't human beings making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest. Lets define Human Being shall we? - a man, woman, or child of the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance. Lets also go ahead and define a Wild Animal: A wild animal is an animal that is not domesticated and can survive on its own in the natural world without human intervention. Wild animals can live in the wilderness, such as in a rainforest, mountain, or beach, or in built environments alongside humans. They are able to find their own food, water, shelter, and other needs in their natural habitat. Wild animals are also not tame and usually don't interact with people. And while there are many similarities between humans and animals there is also great difference, especially in terms of intellect, social structure, creativity, language, brain size, and motivation. Animals, especially wild animals, think only based on instinct and are incapable of reasoning. Saying that say a Deer is people is also saying that a Deer has human rights, the right to free speech, the right to self governance, etc etc, but these concepts aren't even applicable to deer for they don't have such intellectual capability to even comprehend the meaning of such constructs that are of human social creation. All in all, the right to hunt was given by God and those of us Hunters who are Christian and prize our kills don't just kill for fun, we kill to eat. Also I'd like to comment on the plants part because this is very funny to me. You do know plants are living as well and when cut or pricked, etc etc, they omit an ultra-sonic scream? Yeah let that sink in...
@emekecho2024 also I'd like to hear your opinion on predators like Bears, Wolves, Foxes, Cougars, Lions, Tigers, etc, because they all eat meat to survive.

Where is this school where the little deer students learn all the tricks of 'deerdom'❓ In reality, the mother, upon birth, licks the newborn clean of any scent and seemingly abandons the fawn.. She returns to the fawn to nurse when the pressure in her udder gets uncomfortable.. With twins, most common, and/or triplets, more common than single births, the fawns normally are individually bedded down, which improves the chances of each fawn's survival.. EVERYTHING about whitetail deer early life is driven by pure instinct, developed over eons of time (survival of the fittest!)

@Katie so was the fawn, lol. From what I've actually seen and watched on TV, fawns are about as intelligent as any infant, hahaha. It looks a little small to be traveling through the open with mom. When they're super young, the mother will usually leave them in a thicket by the woods while she forages. Hench the freeze and drop. They lay perfectly still, and those spots are insane camouflage, believe it or not. Maybe the mother was gonna have it hide in the general area? There's tons of hiding spots by houses. Around my area, it seems like a weekly thing where people find them under outdoor stairs, porches, bushes, ornamental grass, etc.

How can anyone hurt animals? Animals are the best people. Defend them.
Definitely strongly agree with that statement 🥰😇❤️
If you're gonna bring God into this then there's just one small problem:
God literally gave us permission to hunt, but also told us to not be wasteful and actually eat the animals we kill. Not only that, he gave us dominion over the entire animal kingdom.
And in terms of calling let's say Deer people, this is not so. Since people is a multiple of persons, said is defined as the following:
A Human Beaing regarded as an Individual
A category used in the classification of pronouns, possessive determiners, and verb forms, according to whether they indicate the speaker ( first person ), the addressee ( second person ), or a third party ( third person )
Or you have the Christian Theology definition talking about the Trinity, of which Deer aren't any of such.
Deer also aren't human beings making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest.
Lets define Human Being shall we?
- a man, woman, or child of the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance.
Lets also go ahead and define a Wild Animal:
A wild animal is an animal that is not domesticated and can survive on its own in the natural world without human intervention.
That was a newborn. It wasn't looking for human contact. It was just confused.

Where is this school where the little deer students learn all the tricks of 'deerdom'❓
In reality, the mother, upon birth, licks the newborn clean of any scent and seemingly abandons the fawn.. She returns to the fawn to nurse when the pressure in her udder gets uncomfortable.. With twins, most common, and/or triplets, more common than single births, the fawns normally are individually bedded down, which improves the chances of each fawn's survival.. When I lived in the country our pool was by the woods. While sunning one day, the tiniest little fawn came up to me. He stretched his neck out, cocked his head as if trying to figure out what I was. Then bucked and pronked his way back to mom. It was the cutest, tiniest little thing frolicking his way back to mom. I didn’t try and pet it. I just enjoyed the moment. I currently have a baby deer in my backyard. We think mama jumped all the fences and had her baby here, but then baby had no way to get back out. Mama has left her the last few days to go forage for food but has come back sporadically. It is so cute that I want to hug it but know to stay clear. All we have done is supply water in a 12” plant saucer. I did some internet searches because I was worried it was abandoned and it said mama will leave at times, then come back. Said to leave it alone and they know to stay where mama leaves them! Super cute to watch 🥰

Deadliest animal in North America.
imagine it from the deer. Your out eating at night because that's the safest time and avoids the summer heat. You have to travel to the food every night and you have too eat and move, Your out eating or on the way too or from food when you have to cross this never ending long black thing. As you do a bright light blinds you, which you stop moving to try and figure out what it is. When all of a sudden some douch is flying at you 50-80 mph completely silently. This thing smashes into you, hopefully killing you instantly otherwise it causes internal bleeding, broken bones, crushed organs, and you can only lay down and slowly die.
I don't understand why no one has tried to research a ddivice to scare deer from cars
