I never get tired of watching this video, especially because it is subtitled in Spanish and it is easier for me to understand you, I implore you to do part 2, and nothing like always, since I discovered your sound, I knew that you break it on this!

Thank you for the video, Marlo. Can you use the Native Instrument/Komplete Scarbie Bass Plug-In with the MPC Software? Thank you kindly. Blessings!

Marlow, the horns you added. How do you see if they're in the right key with the main sample?

Great demo and a nice beat btw ! with the right taste and ears and a talent One can make anything with this app ...8 tracks and tons of samples in eacht program plus effects and sampling and crazy chopping , etc, etc ??! Vintage samplers and MPCs had way less and there is lots of great music produced. Imagine if we had THIS free and powerful software in the 90s? Haha ;) nothing to complain here - go Grab it dudes and enjoy making Music! Peace & Jazz yall !

Limitations bring creativity. I did full tracks on my old Zoom St224 20yrs ago and that only had 1 minute stereo sample time.

    • @jazzroom

@@4130jase totally agree! Modern gear and software is over packed with options ...as well as modern life - to many choices. Original Music , arts and literature starts in the mind of a creator ..they WILL find their way to be expressed and brought to their audience no matter of the tools. Obstacles and limitations are THE KEY. Less IS more .

Great video, curious, can I use Native Instruments as a plugin, in MPC Beats? Also, how do you know which melody loops to chop? I tried chopping a loop just like this video. but when I played it back, it seemed out of order. Thanks again
PS. I have an mpk mini, that came with mpc essentials, but now that we have this new program, will I still need to use MPC essentials? I was using Soundation's daw, online, but it was a monthly paid version, and the sounds weren't that great.

Hi Lawrence, thanks for tuning in to the channel. There is no right or wrong way when using samples. All samples are different so I can really tell you how you should use a sample. Just try things out, it's all about the feeling and how you hear things, music is always personal. When you chop stuff, try pitching it up and down to find a sound you like. Yes you can open plugins inside Mpc Beats, not sure about Native Instruments.

I tried using this software with my midi keyboard that has some pads just to try out the softwarre. It was super simple to assign pads to whatever keys I wanted on my midi device, however. The amount of crashes I experienced over 2 days of using it is enough for me to not use it. It wasn't anything intensive just normal 4 bar loops on about 5 tracks and crash after crash and losing my work. I'm still using mpc 1.9 and I love it 8)

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  4 роки тому +1

I didn't experience anything like that, didn't get one crash at all, although I am not really using it full on. sorry to hear that.

@@mpchead I really like the software apart from the crashes on my end it makes hardware that you might have lying around easily usable now. I'm wondering if second hand maschines now can find a home a lot easier :)

Hey not sure if this will work for you, but I viewed a video that tells you how to set your power settings on your laptop computer , to help enhance your over all DAW experience.
Example when I use my software I always switch my power plan to Audio setting,I named it that. Once I activate that, it cuts off all sorts of things that can show down your computers performance, speed, playback etc. Like notifications, keyboard and game backgrounds still running while trying to make a beat.
By adjusting these issues you'll get peek performance

One last thing, I have the software that comes with the MPK II Mini, as you know you get 3 expansions packs free, a sample editor which I have no clue how to use. I have finally learned how to use the software, my first issue was not being able to figure how to add multiple samples on one sequence, figured that out, only to have issues finding the free Komplete Kontrol bundle pack as a plugin in my vst. I learned that I have the stripped-down version of Ableton Live, the software that comes with this midi is Abelton Live Lite, but when I searched on how to use Native Instruments through the MPC essentials plugin, It would never pull up. Then I learned, that when searching for other videos on this subject, most were instructions for Abelton Live. So like I asked earlier, I'm wondering now with this new software, do I even need to worry about it. Thanks again.

1st thing - thanks Marlow, cool video, appreciated.
Lawrence, for the absolute dope video on using the MPC sampler, go look up Ave Mcree: ua-cam.com/video/BxfxcyhZAes/v-deo.html
If you are having trouble loading or finding a plugin, be sure you have the directories set up in preferences (go to the "hamburger" icon - top left of MPC Beats > edit > preferences > plugins) and make sure your VST is in the proper folder. One other problem you may have, MPC Beats does not load VST3.
Make sure the box is ticked next to the VST folders
(mine is C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins ) again, make sure you have ticked all the folders you use and click "rescan all". MPC will go and scan all your plugins, when it is finished, you can scroll the list and see if it loaded ok.

I've been a die-hard Maschine guy for years. But I'm really enjoying MPC Beats, especially with my Maschine midi-mapped to it (pads, encoders for q-links, and buttons for functions and modes). 8 midi tracks is not much of a limitation. Some people need 8 different drum sounds spread across 8 midi tracks but oftentimes you can get by with splitting your drums into 4 midi tracks at most if you need... and the other 4 midi tracks can be instruments or sample chops.
Yesterday I commented asking if you knew if you could send midi to a DAW via the MPC Beats plugin... you definitely can. I created a Template in Reaper doing exactly that. It's a little finicky, but it works. Good to know. I might make a video on it since EVERYONE is doing a video on MPC Beats right now. haha. It really is a cool piece of software. Again, this is coming from a Maschine dude.
Thanks again for another great, informative vid, bro. :)

    Oh boy...
Just saw that you've copied the sequence from a single pad and you had to go to menu, click, sequence, mouse hover, copy sequence, click just to do that.
Did you can use a simple CTRL + C ???
...if not, WOW, this is so unfriendly...
