I worked in Prison as a Psychiatric Nurse for over 25 years. Those cells are the same size but better amenities now. Toilet and sink in cell and TV. Beautiful place and nice to see one in one piece. Stafford prison is haunted. Main Hall. B Wing Lowers cell 1. Prisoners used to wake screaming pleading to be let out. They had something on top of them pressing them into the bed. The prisoner was always relocated. This didn't happen regularly but it happened regularly enough that all the staff knew it was haunted. Great premiere, thanks for sharing.

This is absolutely fascinating Chris to read. I've heard of Stafford being haunted, would love to visit... Urgh, that's really quite scary isn't it? Something evil lurking! So interesting though, thank you so much for joining us, always enjoy a chat with you! Appreciate you x

We enjoyed the castle jail tour, Alessa and Brett. Also enjoyed hearing about the original castle that was there. "A Haven of the Paranormal?" Sounds like a fun place! We enjoyed your tour and hearing about the jails history. Some sad stories of the children. Some harsh treatment of all, some for just stealing a few potatoes. A beautiful and well preserved building though. Thanks for the tour!

What a fantastic and fascinating tour of the castle jail! It must have been absolutely horrible to have been incarcerated there. I'm not surprised there are paranormal happenings there. Creepy! @@PinnedonPlaces from the evps i've taken there in the past i advise women not to go in the cells on their own...there are some dangerous types still there, how much they could do is a matter for conjecture, but by the responses i'd hate anyone to find out

    Hi Alessa,
    Beautiful and emotional piano music.
Wow, what's the horror this castle carries through its history !!!
The cell is a little match box, I feel like hard to breathe...thick walls and doors.
It is hard to believe a person was executed being innocent...
I cannot imagine myself being in the cell with death souls wandering around...
Interesting to know female cells differ from male ones.
Sad to know names are not recognized, but just numbers.
Amazing to learn the history of humanitarian in jail and I thank YOU, Alessa.
OMG this jail is intact still. 16:02 no wonder forgotten souls still lost way to wander...
Thank you so much for your laborious and time consuming research to produce this film
Apologies for my absence due to family emergency, attending the funeral, now just came back after 9 hr drive from FL.

👍32 Your video is a fantastic documentary video of Jedburgh Castle Jail. You did a great job in organizing its facts and history in your narrations. I think both a castle and a jail have the same goal in their structure: isolation from the outer world. The only difference is that the isolation is intended voluntarily or involuntarily. I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks a lot for sharing. 💕🌺🍀🇨🇦

Such a beautiful and romantic looking place but such a harsh and dark history. To think it was ok to put a child in a jail like this is amazing. 30 days for a potato? I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this beautiful structure, inside and out and learning about the life that took place here. So nice there are still amazing places you can visit like this for free.
