I want to say, John you are a very cool, smart president/CEO of REL Acoustics. You answer a lot to us consumers on the REL subwoofers, on what they do. I just wanna say, Thanks for answering a lot of our questions when you don't have to do it. P.S. I want that Carbon Special, beautiful....Saving my money....😊
Beautiful setup. A thought experiment: Let's say you were to use these 4 inch Tannoy speakers with the Classic 98 with an amp that had a sub-out (with some sort of bass management option). Would you still connect these full range / high level despite the 4 inch woofer?
Thank you for reaching out. In this case we would still recommend sending a full-range signal to the main loudspeakers, since they are originally designed with a full-range signal in mind, though you are welcome to set them to "small" and bandwidth limit the signal if needed. In this case, you would connect the REL using it's .1/LFE input to the sub-out on the amplifier.
