- Hear from trailblazing American fashion models as they reflect on their participation in the historic 1973 fashion show known as the Battle of Versailles. The transatlantic fashion face-off is commonly regarded as the moment when the United States took its rightful place on the global fashion stage.

Curious, why was Billie Blair not a part of this interview? She was a Top African American model in the 70's and modeled in the Battle of Versailles. It is very sad and disappointing that she continues to be ostracized and not recognized by the fashion industry, especially when historical events she took part in are discussed.
BRAVO!!!!!!!! This was insightful but I now there's more they haven't shared.
This is a great recollection and a great extension of Robin Givhan's book, which is extremely well researched and written. I would've liked to hear more about Bill Blass's clothes from the show. There were no photos of his collection in the book. Interesting contemporary choices from the ladies.
Why they only talk about Halston and Steve B…and they don’t mentioned the others?

Interviews, interviews, interviews... Can I watch a video of this fashion show anywhere on the planet? Does anyone out there know? I've been searching forever. Thanks.
Amazon offers it for rent or purchase in the streaming format.
@@sdavis363 No, that's not it. I saw what you're talking about on Amazon. It's just a documentary about it.
