If you lose your keys and wallet so much that you need one of these trackers then you'll probably lose your phone too.
they need to add a feature of reverse tracking the devices that are tracking that AirTag, so we can find out who's tracking it.
Wouldn’t that mean that someone who doesn’t have access to your AirTags can now access your location??
that wouldnt help either cuz now people could find a airtag that just honestly lost and the owner hasnt found it yet but they could then use it to track the owner with bad intentions

If you fine one on your car, Put it in an envelop and mail it somewhere far far away.
Everyone don’t have a iPhone to know they are being tracked
They should allow the person to say they are not aware of this device causing the device to be deactivated until the actual user is able to answer some questions etc. to have to enabled again.
If someone buys a gps tracker for nearly the same price with free month service you can track someone without anyone knowing. At lease the airtag warns you where the others don’t. This is a case where some people use this wrong, but id suggest far more use it as intended. Like just about anything, tech can be misused and i think this reporting is a bit much. I find my AirTag to be invaluable for finding my things.
This is so true the only reason they would know this is because it doesn’t look like a piece of the car
@@michaellewis4632 the presentation was geared to instill fear and stir people up. I love my air tags and they do what I need. My goodnesses, I have an air tag on my cameras and if I leave them behind, there is a good chance the location will be sent through the find my phone network. You can use anything for the wrong reason - I like the air tags and Apple took steps to protect the safety of people. Personally, I wish it wasn’t so quick to alert others. If my camera was lost or stolen, I’d like to find it before someone was alerted and could destroy the tag. I was not happy with how the interview was designed to make this tool the villain.

@@davieee1168 I here you buddy - we have too much crap in the first place. I find the little trackers come in handy, and while they benefit from the vast find my phone network, the apple gizmo has no gps radios. If it was in your home, the tracking is limited. I am one of those who can't find the glasses on my face and it's ONLY because I have too much on my mind. Thanks for the reminder - simplification is long over do David. Take care.
The best question is , what if you do not have an iPhone to notify that you are being tracked?!!
Yes this is my concern. However, it will rely on you being around other people with Apple devices to share the location. But yes a person without an iPhone will be more vulnerable. I wonder if this is a sinister marketing strategy?
That's all nice and fine, but if you don't have an iPhone, you'll never know about the air tag.

@@Zeefashun some of us don't have the money and the time. Androids are much cheaper and advanced then you're faulty words. Sure, most people have iPhone. But there's still many cons to iPhones.
@@arsongoat I mean you can buy a nearly new iPhone for the same amount for a good android phone. You can get a used iPhone X for like $250

It a market tool and also a neat device. Each tag should be numerically tagged to a legitimate phone.

You don’t need an AirTag to track anything. There’s plenty of gps trackers available.

I am sad that the world isn't what I assumed it to be. Maybe someday that will.change people can be safe and feel others care about them.

The easiest fix for air tags is to let cell phone users know when an air tag is in use around them maybe
Like make it available to android and everything that way they can still keep the hardware and just update the software maybe
Supposedly there is an android app for that, but I don't have an android to comfirm.
A lot of people don’t have iPhones to do that.
If you don't have an apple device you are not notified of being tracked!! And even if you do have an apple device you may not be notified for hours of you being tracked!!
I created the "Air Tag" concept. Apple took my design and released it without my permission.
This is so stupid, apple will let you know that you have an airtag traveling with you and a next thing is that an air tag is a horrible tracking device it is highly inaccurate and barely works
This technology should be used , I believe a real small tracking device is going to be available for anybody who wants one , just in case there car is stolen , the thieves can be track down and caught !

What concerns me is that Apple users have always tended to be less savvy than Linux, Windows and other OS users so there is a chance they may never had the savviness or easy access to stalking devices. This device allows even the least savvy users a way to stalk and the fact that it easily works with Apple means folks who may not have expended the energy to stalk, now have a much easier time.
Apple needs to fix this make this right

Seems like the simple solution would be for Apple and these other companies to stop selling them. But there not gonna do that.
People will have to die first and then will have to sue Apple in a way that almost bankrupts the company in order for them to stop making them. It's called profits over people. If enough people get hurt or killed, then they may consider discontinuing the tags.

i knew this would be a problem from the beginning. with different operating systems like android no way these tags can warn someone without apple devices. just a matter of time someone is killed or raped or assaulted and a lawsuits hitting apple for negligence.

*Apple* perfected their products to the customary fashion where the market sustainability is centered on replacing parts before phones. And the longer they know which parts go first, like _vehicles_, it’s cheaper to replace a hardware malfunction than the whole item. - Think about that.
Their _iMacs_ OS ran for ten years without a single blue screen or system crash. As a matter of fact, I had a 2005 that ran no problems till 2017 asking for a OS update that for some reason wouldn’t accept the disk it required. Like, the prompts were followed to a T and the system _still_ ran. Just needed a iOS professional to emac his way through a simple bios directory and _would still be running_ like you just purchased it yesterday. That’d be seventeen(17) years at the twelve(12) year mark. No bs.

Samsung Smarthings tracker uses LTE and can work anywhere u have LTE service. It won't notify u if u are being tracked... If someone really wants to track u they will use a device like this where you WON'T know about it... idk Why AirTags are in the news so much other than the fact they are popular.
funny how people are blaming apple and getting mad at apple when many other trackers have existant for years but its just that now apples is the only one that can tell the unknown victom that its there and the other trackers can track anyone in the same way but wont alarm you that you are being tracked
