    Another six hours down the drain... Guys, I need a short break. I can't record on tuesdays and on wednesday, a DLC of a game I played a while ago will be released. In the meantime, I hope I can recover my strength enough to keep going. Although, it seems like I'm close to running out of supplies anyway. I probably need to use all of my Goodwill to buy enough supplies to get to the next location. Am I missing something? Are there side locations or side missions I don't know about? My army surely isn't too large. I mean, the Legion surprise attack made sure of that! XD

      I think you should take a break on this game for some time as am seeing, this will drive you nuts if you continue playing probably check the game time from time to see if they made it easier... but this is your choice.

      I just reviewed said attack. I probably could've got all of the Cartel leaders if I'd placed my bigger gun platform directly in the way of their escape route. Alas, this was the end of a six hours recording session, my concentration was long gone. Still, a missed opportunity...

      You could always do off-video retry and then just put clip of what happens to the next video if you have save close of it.

    I've seen three playthroughs of the "hold the bridges" mission. Yours is my favorite. It was satisfying to see that huge clump of militia and infantry storm across the bridge, and then you just parked it in a blob in that area of the map. Well played! You're also using light/heavy platforms the way they're intended. That was fun to watch. Another playthrough I was watching seems to focus entirely on micro-ing vehicles and infantry (and then save-scumming whenever an ATGM flies in, heh). The artillery support looks to have made a significant difference for you.
    I don't blame you at all for taking a break. I could feel your tension as you popped all around the map, trying to make sure a moment of inattention didn't allow a disaster. It must have been nerve-wracking. The fact you're not save-scumming this game astounds me. You have my respect (and sympathy). As for the supplies, the way I understand it, you pretty much have to pick the battlefield clean after you win a mission. Crew absolutely everything you can (it helps if you train certain squads to be able to drive as they level up), grab every better weapon you can find, and then be willing to disband/decrew/sell all the junk. Which is incredibly tedious. It's like the devs wanted the tedium to be part of the misery of a post-apocalyptic experience.
    Be ruthless when it comes to what you need vs. what you don't. For example, at the start of the video, you had two supply trucks, a supply trailer, and two fuel trucks. You probably can lose some depth in terms of logistics. I flinched when I saw you get rid of all your manpower and then trade all your goodwill points for supplies just to get to Chihauhua.
    By the way, mercenaries seem to be much more effective than militia. They can do pretty much anything, by the looks of it: ATGM, AA, sniper, anti-infantry, and drive. Driving is important if you want to strip a battlefield. Although given how flimsy all infantry is in this game, I know "more effective" doesn't mean a whole lot in a firefight. Other than snipers, I've yet to see infantry that can reliably sweep other infantry.
    On a related note, I cringed when I saw that sniper vs. sniper part in the bridges mission. Your sniper kills one of their sniper squad, then their sniper squad kills one of yours. Ouch.
    I realize your main problem is supplies, but as a thought: smoke really makes a difference. It's like a shield for ATGMs. Seriously, I've seen playthroughs where those things hit smoke and then veer off like hitting a wall. It also really ups the miss rate for enemy fire, as well as yours. I couldn't help but think, if you'd popped smoke when that Legion reinforcement group came in, you might not have lost that big clump of vehicles in Chihuahua. It might not have let you wipe out the reinforcements, but you might've got your guys out of there. My condolences, friend. Hindsight is 20/20.
    It's a good thing you had all that infantry to storm the engineers up to the heavy guns. I don't see how any new player could do anything else without prior knowledge. Overall, you did great on a nightmare level. I was impressed by how quickly you moved in and got to those guerilla squads in those houses. And I was surprised when you went up the middle of the map to reach the command post, rather than skirt along the edge of the map to the south, through that vehicle depot. Bold move, and you executed it well.
    A final thought: as you build to the late game, armoring up your vehicles and putting plasma on them makes them enormously more effective. Abrams and Bradleys seem to be the tanks of choice. I wouldn't even bother with aircraft; they might as well be snowflakes in hell for how well they stand up.

      I know, that was horrible! But you've to consider the following: when I started this mission, it was 5 pm. At 10 pm, I was still at it. This was literally my last attempt. At first, I didn't even think it'd work. But it did, and I was just happy to be done.

      I think I will follow your tactic to the letter XD Any vehicle gets pasted by multiple ATGMs in the bunker line.

    how do scavanging weapon and vehicle work in this game? i'm watching a lot weapon lying around despite ur effort in attempt to pick it up, ur unit will just swap its weapon with it

    • @MichaelJGetsTheJobDone
      @MichaelJGetsTheJobDone  6 місяців тому

      Yeah, the weapons system is flawed in my opinion. You can't pick them up, all you can do is to tediously check every drop after finishing a mission to see if there're updates for your squads laying around. So, you need to remember the names of good weapons and with which ones your squads are equipped with. And you've to do that with every weapon drop on the map. That's plain stupid. There should be some kind of popup window after exiting the map in which all weapon drops are shown for you to compare and equip your squads with. Or something like that.
      Vehicles on the other side can just be taken and moved off the map. You can salvage them on the world map if needed.

    Can you refer me to your computer configuration? I have an i5-10400f CPU and RTX 4060 with 16gb of ram but it's very laggy and freezes many times right in this very level, not as smooth as yours, Other levels are similar, I don't know the problem. Is the problem caused by the cracked game?

      what do you mean if your if your loosing units while using a trainer something is wrong

    • @ymhsf
      @ymhsf 6 місяців тому

      @smokeybear1597
      The trainer doesn't have god mode health, lol. The trainer only helps to give you unlimited ammo and fuel but not health.
      You also can't set yourself unlimited resources. If not, you will ruin the gaming script. Just learnt that from the steam community hub. So technically, it's still one of the hardest RTS games, even if you are using a trainer.
      You can have unlimited units and etc, but the AI (Legion) is just way too OP. Small units won't hurt you, but it's those heavy units like the mobile tank and artillery one shot that could damage your vehicle and kill your ground infantry easily if you don't prone your units down or repair your vehicle constantly.

      @@ymhsf dang I’m playing my second campaign with a trainer gave myself 100 days worth of supplies I’m in the Oklahoma mission so idk what people on the steam page are talking about how far are you in the campaign

    • @ymhsf
      @ymhsf 6 місяців тому

      @smokeybear1597 The steam page says you can't have more than 100 supplies for the first mission after the first 3 introductions of missions after the haven base got destroyed. If you have more than 100, you will ruin the gaming script, which I did it until I went to search and figured it out.
      If you do have more than 100 supplies, the missions will start immediately by the part where spawning Legions forces where they shouldn't when Kondo will tell you not to engage them as he wanna be captured alive to throw the EMP. Do you remember that?
      Currently, I am at the one blowing the 12 convoys. After this, I will be at the slave mission one.
      However, after that mission, I am able to free flow to use the trainer on the rest of the mission without any problem. Especially the supplies due to the amount of my troops.😂

      One more question: Do you have any idea where to get one more Tank or Bradley crew members? Driver can't drive any Abarams or Bradely. Only specific crew is allowed.
