I’m considering going back to Carnival after boycotting the line for 5 years for generally poor customer service and horrendous food. The deals for this ship right now are too good to pass up even for semi garbage cruise like Carnival. Can you recommend this ship?we would be booking aGrand Suite which doesn’t include a special restaurant or free Internet, so good or not?
My wife and I enjoyed the Grand Suite. You will have access to the Havana Pool area. It is exclusive to Havana And Grand Suite guests only. We found it to be in crowded and very relaxing. As far as the food is concerned, we found it to be satisfactory. The ship itself is in great shape as it started inaugural sailing out of Long Beach in mid December 2019. Covid shut down operations not long after. We did enjoy the specialty dining. We did enjoy specialty restaurants Fahrenheit 555, Ji Ji Asian Kitchen and Cucina del Capitano. The food was very good and the service was adequate. We also liked the food at Bonsai Sushi, unfortunately, the service was very lackluster. The current prices are hard to beat and the reduced capacities make it a great deal.
I’ve found the steakhouses on carnival to be wonderful. Even Not to be missed. I was not expecting too much on the Miracle at their steakhouse, and was extremely pleasantly surprised.
Prices vary depending on the time of year and how many cabin are already sold. We purchased it during the height of Covid so it was only $300 more than a standard balcony.

This room has lots of potential but Carnival needs to revamp the 90’s decor 😮
I decor did not bother us. I will agree that the Excel class ships has decor that is much more current.
We had a family harbor balcony last time. But this is way nicer! I’d stay here. I loved the itinerary and we loved the whole ship! This room is 😍

You will love it. It was our 35th. You also get access to the Havana area which is our favorite. Enjoy!
Such a beautiful cabin, with so much space, but the balcony is so narrow. Still though, a great suite. Glad you guys had a great time.
