Kirby is not the kind of guy to save planets, he would rather have a good time. Adeleine don't really fit susie, meta knight does more. He would start the chapter by thinking you're the bad person bc of ennemies and would be against you. He would since the start of the chapter be distant, not really menacing or bully, but more of the quiet kid of the class that is kind with everyone, without really socialising. If kirby would be kris, he would be the extrovert.

if you search you shall find an au with the character counterparts you're looking for
but as this is my team's au i won't be changing the counterparts as i'm perfectly happy with them :)
and i do see your point: yeah, there are better picks for susie or better picks for kris. But you really need to see the bigger picture here: Meta Knight serves a better purpose as, well, the Knight, and no I can't replace them with Galacta or Morpho as I also need Gaster and the Angel. I chose Kirby as Kris 'cause more than personality he serves a better role as the main character, and he wouldn't really work anywhere else. Adeleine is Susie as they're both characters that start out as "enemies" (Ado in Kirby'd Dreamland 3) to then become part of the team.

Man I hope some people learn that AUs don't need everything to fit perfectly. Like take deltarunner where they put the characters into a role of their choice without changing the character even if they don't seem to work to others.
