Hello everyone reading this! I just want you guys to have a read through this is apart of the Marauders fanfic I’m writing and obv it has wolfstar in it but anyways, this is just the most recent part of it and I just wanna know if it’s good or not? Could someone just tell me if there is anything I could do better (if there is anything)
Ik it’s random to put this in your comment section, jack but I feel like you’re the type of person that’s good with this stuff, whereas when I’m trying to tell if this part of the story is good But I just have no clue. You don’t /have/ to assess this paragraph but you can if you want, I just feel it would help me with my writing, if you are gonna tell me stuff about it, it’s gonna really help me with this fanfic that I’m writing and I’m just gonna say thanks now. :)
Remus walked up to a tall Gryffindor boy with a small red badge that had the word “prefect” engraved in gold letters. Remus tapped the boys back gently.
“Uhm.. sorry to bother you but would you happen to know where the Gryffindor common room is?”
“Yes, it’s just up those stairs,” he pointed to a staircase in a room full of moving paintings, Remus found that fascinating “and if you can see that portrait of a woman wearing a pink dress, she is called the Fat Lady.”
“Ok, thank you. How do you get in there exactly?”
“You must say ‘Caput Draconis’, it’s the password to get in. After you say the password the portrait will open up and will lead you into the Gryffindor common room, understand?”
“Yes, thank you very much.” Remus smiled and walked off back to Sirius and James.
“So, where is it then, Remus?”
“It’s up those stairs and behind the portrait of The Fat Lady.”
“Yes, but how do we get in? There’s no door handle or anything.”
“We just have to say the password.”
“Which is?”
“ ‘Caput Draconis’ it’s Latin for ‘The Dragon’s Head’”
“We get that you’re smart already.”
“Hey, shut it James. I find it nice on how much Remus knows, think of all the mischief we could get up to with a brain like his.”
“Sorry, Remus shouldn’t have said that.” James, of course only said that because he lived to get up to mischief.
“Let’s just go.” Remus turned around quickly and started to walk away.
“Wait for us!”
Remus walked up to the Gryffindor common room as fast as he could.
Sirius and James had some trouble keeping up but managed in the end.
“Why are you walking so fast?!” Sirius huffed, Remus said nothing.
“Mate, you alright?!”
“I’m fine” Remus got to the portrait of The Fat Lady and said “Caput Draconis.”
The portrait of The Fat Lady swung open and there was a dark passageway for Gryffindors to walk down. Remus made his way through just to end up in a room bigger than his entire house and his jaw dropped.
“Mate, you gotta slow do- woah.” Sirius cut himself off “it’s so big in here.”
“I heard that there’s a list of different student groups to know each of our dorm mates and rooms?”
“Yes, it’s over here, James.”
“Ah yes.”
There was a list of names sorted into two groups of girls and boys:

“This is just great! It’s perfect! It’s everything we could have ever wanted!” James was jumping around the room.
“Sure is.” Remus smiled.
“Agreed.”
“Let’s go then, lads.”
“Don’t ever call us lads again.”
“I won’t, I regretted it the second I said it.”
They all ran up the stone stairs smiling, excited to see their new dorm room and were over the moon when they got through the door.
“Wow! This is the size of my room times 4 in here! It’s so b-“ Remus put a hand over his mouth and looked down at his feet.
“Don’t be embarrassed, Remus.” Sirius looked at Remus sadly.
“Why wouldn’t I be? Wouldn’t you if you told your friends that you couldn’t afford enough things? Afford a nice house with heating, not having to use a load of blankets to keep warm? And..” Remus was cut off by a warm sensation. What was happening? Remus realised that Sirius had hugged him and didn’t know how to feel, he hadn’t felt human touch since he was 4 years old. It felt nice.
He couldn’t help but give in to the embrace and just start crying. James joined into the hug to help, but really, he just felt left out and felt like a third wheel.
“Hey it’s ok, Remus. Just let it all out..” Sirius stroked Remus back to comfort him. James had pulled away quite some time ago to go talk to the other Gryffindors.
