This is in their top 40 hits. Cheri knows how to setup a bit in a way that makes it timeless. She’s so smart and hilarious. Also, Kattan is so secure in his ability and his strength, he’s almost playing his guy so straight(even though he’s obviously being very naughty) to the point he really lets Cheri shine. No surprise gag from him to throw Cheri off, no bruised ego from him bc Cheri is really knocking it out of the park. They obviously both really trust each other here and the skit, and audience, truly benefits from their chemistry. Damn. A masterclass all around here.
These sketches (about 6 of them) can't have been easy to perform without many rehearsals. The timing has to be spot on between them. Very well performed
Actually, there's 8 of them. First Date, Dinner, Halloween, Gym, Cabin, Airplane, Car Dealership & Mini Golf. The 1st and last ones just weren't popular enough to be included into a video, and you have to pretty much find the full episodes online to see those 2 sketches.
There was a lot of these kind of scenes on air during that time. Humor wasn't held back by all this political correctness that we have now, and people knew that a joke was just joke and didn't get offended by it.
food for thought in the here and now. That was some damn good acting. They held the tension in the writing and gave it to the audience like pros most were to become.
Y’know how sometimes they bring back older cast members to perform one of their classic sketches? Like when they brought back Dana Carvey to do the Church Lady. For years I have wanted them to bring back Chris and Cheri to do another Zimmerman sketch. I think it’s one of the greatest sketches in SNL history.
I can't tell if Chris Kattan's "Oooh, sorry about that" was genuine (like he slapped Cheri harder than he meant to) or if it was just part of their characters' very weird sex rituals.
The best humour exists in the unknown, which allows the viewer of listener to get ahead of the story in their own mind, or leaves a mystery behind like, when Cheri’s character inevitably gets offended... where else was that leading? Lol it’s so hilarious even when you know it’s coming.
How. HOW do they stay in character!!??!!?👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣Matthew Broderick almost broke, oh man these two are just too good!!!😂😂 I admit it, I SERIOUSLY want to pull a skit like this with my own man...nope not post🙄 but just for the fun in it. Especially because we’re almost retirement age. It’d be gold. 😁👨🏻🦳👵🏼
It looked very sexy to me personally, not for the fact that I would enjoy the same but for the fact of an extraordinary chemistry present on the set. Great job
The way he starts smacking the table and everything spills and goes flying is so funny
Yes, very Raging Bull.
I knew there must be a reason the table top was so visibly loose at the beginning of the skit! 😂🤣
Omg I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I need this type of chemistry in my non existent relationship
I think we should meet
Yeah you want that huh?, You want that?
@@edwardzamora4781 ^Underappreciated comment. Made me chuckle 😂😂
@@edwardzamora4781 😂🤣😂
ohhh I'll give it to you! :)
The female cast from the 90s are so underappreciated.
The honest truth.
SNL canned Cheri Oteri.
@@morpheus6749 What!? Really?
@@XARIER39 Yup. They wouldn't even acknowledge her in any of the anniversaries and reunion specials they had afterward.
@@morpheus6749 WTF
Most favorited talk between married partners. "What?" "Nothing."

ahhhhh hehe. !!!
Abu Sabah: YEAH !!!!
Lol man!!
This comment rocked!😂
I wanted to like this comment but it's 420 and I don't wanna mess it up
Cheri Otari just killed me. I loved everything she did. It was a damn shame she never made it to Hollywood.
I was just thinking what happened to her?
She was damn funny
@@ThatzMzMJ she was in grown ups 2
@@gc2o4tom81 Yea but haven't seen her in much else :/
She was in a movie called And They're Off, which didn't do too well.
Scary Movie, she was a scream.
I wonder what the actors said to each other right after this scene. Like "good work y'all. Nice weather this evening, huh?"
+millasvs "Nice scampi line."
Yeah that's exactly the line a actor says, right after rolling a scene
I wanted to say something dirty - but i think that they have a good chemistry and act like professionals :)
Oh, yeah, you like this weather? You like this weather! Huh?
They probably said let's all do another line and get a room
What I love about this sketch is when they act normal and wholesome after things escalated quickly 😂
Molly Shannon's "Yeah, I know HOW it IS". Then "Nothing" & then "Oooo do it again!" is simply awesome
i began to decrease the volume reflexively...
Ha
💀💀💀💀💀
🤣🤣🤣

That was so tantalizingly awesome. I literally laughed out loud. Cheri is an excellent performer.
It really fascinates me how they were able to stay dead serious through out this entire thing
Maybe that’s how they are in real life, that’s why it all came out so natural loo
Pete Davidson needs a lesson or two
Because they are professionals
Now they fake breaking character because of Fallon
no Fallon around means people doing the skit correctly
How great of a physical comedian is Cheri O'Teri? Just wow.
When Cheri dropped it low, that really left me weak 😩
Me too!
😂😂😂
This was THE most intense SNL sketch I've ever seen 😁😁😂😂
Have you watched the Parent/Teacher conference? It's hilarious. Ego Nwodim plays the parent and Jason Sudeikis plays the teacher.
This awakened something in me as a child. And it’s even more hilarious to see it again as an adult. Lol
2:52 shawty was throwing it back there goddamn
Kattan and Oteri were pure comedy gold! F*** hilarious! lol

Molly looks really pretty in this!
Yes she looks great, better than I’ve ever seen
That's what I was thinking so I scrolled to see if any else caught that.
It's weird to see a skit where she isn't the awkward one
She always does
I SECOND THAT.
Kattan and Oteri are just way too good together
I didn't know something like this could air on national television at this time.
You're clueless then . Check out movies from the 1920's ....you'd be shocked
There was a lot of these kind of scenes on air during that time. Humor wasn't held back by all this political correctness that we have now, and people knew that a joke was just joke and didn't get offended by it.
Also, it was close to or past midnight when this aired.
That was not exactly the 1920’s!
These skit usually was one of the last ones of the night about 1245 they played them
And that is how you get rid of unwanted guests/company.
can't decide who is owning this harder but as per usual Molly is FLAWLESS
I know - she just had a coupla lines and owned them!
Mathew spilled wine accidentally in the first place, but the actress is quite good on acting, she kept going like nothing happened.
I noticed that lol
Were the supposed to stop and acknowledge it or what?
If they don’t get Cheri Oteri back in a slew of movies asap, I’m gonna sue them. I don’t know who, but, by George, it’s gonna hurt!
Cheri O'teri has a seriously underrated bod! Molly too!
it's almost like we don't need to be rating peoples "bods" lol good lawd 🙄

I like how he says I'm sorry legitimately because he slapped the shit out of her neck and she was like "its ok" lol
I could watch these two go at it all day! Brilliant skit, maybe the best in SNL history.
Ha ha ha!! My sentiments exactly!
Matthew Broderick - cute as always
Cheri Oteri is hot as hell.
I might say, both Chris and Cheri are bloody hilarious. Shame they weren't more visible , I would go to a movie with The Zimmermans.
Matthew Broderick was perfect for this role... just remembered Inspector Gadget :P
That's the best chemistry I've ever seen in my entire life.
That is “topping the topper.” A gag that continually tops itself-used by the all time great comedians.
Y’know how sometimes they bring back older cast members to perform one of their classic sketches?

Yep it’s intentional, they’ve done the same thing in other Zimmerman sketches
Ya ...they are so good

Cheri Oteri is 1 of my faves from this show & her with Molly Shannon was great.
This sketch gives physical comedy a whole new meaning.

So much passion! Actors are great!
everyone's talking about how hot Cheri is but can we talk about Chris real quick
THANK YOU
yes he did the very nice
I didn't know he could be sexy to me until he started slamming that table....
I feel you and all but the messed up thing is that this type of situation really happens!!!!
He was the real star for me
Wow, back when they weren't reading the cue cards the whole time.
lol thats a lot of passion! And Molly was pleasantly shocked... lol
This is honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
The CRAZIEST couple EVER!!! 😂
That strangle at the end🤣🤣🤣
This is so dramatic that i enjoyed a lot.
I miss the 90s and everything b4 9/11
They nailed it everytime!!
All I can see is Mango in black...
"Yeah I know how it is... 😒" "... what?" "Nothing"
the rehearsal must be funny as hell LMAO that intense interaction😂😂😂

Oh my gosh these freaking skits are so hilarious
Do it again! 4:04
I think every couple knows the over the top affectionate couple. This just takes it to the extreme...lol
And then they ask, "why don't ya come over any more?"
Yup. Never inviting that couple to our house again.. we had chairs out for them and they chose to sit/lie on our bed the whole time and makeout.

Back when barely even knew cue cards existed offstage on SNL
They had cue cards since 1975.
Ohh yeah...I had neighbors like this before. Freaking crazy. Philadelphia USA
Chris Kattan:"why do people like this exist" ?! The 4 of them a terrific. It's like Edward Albee and Tennessy Williams wrapped into one !
This is really funny! “ Get over here!” “ Look what you made me do!”
Best part where they blame others for being dirty.
Relationship goals
what an incredible performance by CO
Skits that would come on those nights your folks decided to stay up late and watch SNL with you.

in these sketches i always thought it was so funny how the opposite wife would get really into it 🤣
Otari is just hilarious. definitely the funniest female ever on SNL
