    Couple questions: Have you ever used cider vinegar instead? Google says it’s ok to substitute but I was wonder if I should increase/decrease sugar or salt since it does taste different than plain white vinegar. Do you have to use canning salt or is coarse or table salt ok? Also, after the jars have sealed, do you remove the rings before storing? I’ve seen others do that and not sure why they do it…maybe just to reuse the rings? Thanks for showing the steps plain and easy, it’s my 1st time canning by myself 😳

    • @ntxg
      @ntxg  3 місяці тому +1

      You can, as long as it’s 5% acidity. No change in measurement. I remove rings. The whole purpose of removing the rings is to make sure that your jars have sealed if you leave the rings on you may never know whether it’s sealed or not. Thank you so much for watching.
