I'm planning to order mine today, also customizing from HP directly. Did you get the OLED model from HP? If so is your display glossy or matte? HP told me their OLED was matte but this video states its glossy (his is from Best Buy). Also, did you get the 16GB of RAM or 32? Thanks!
@@TheDigitalDigest Thanks for clarifying that! I usually prefer glossy screens even tho they are definitely more reflective. But I've never seen a glossy screen that was anti-reflective like this claims to be! What are your thoughts on the glare off this one? Better than regular glossy screens?
Happy to be early since I was really anticipating a review on this HP Spectre redesign. A couple of things to note: - The centered trackpad is a great move on HPʼs part. The former one was smaller and was awkwardly placed a bit on the left side. - The rounded edges honestly seem like a downgrade from the elegant and sharp diamond cut style of the former iteration. It was what made the Spectre premium line distinct. Good review overall! God bless.
Thank you so much for this review! I've been searching for the past 3 weeks for info on this specific OLED display and you are def the first to have one. Im so glad to hear it is indeed glossy! I have a 3 year old Spectre x360 with a glossy display and love it (even tho its not OLED). I was worried the anti-glare coating on this one would mean it would be matte, but glad to know its not. Thanks for sharing that info...even HP sales reps couldn't answer that for me 🤣
Hp Spectre x360 15 or the smaller ones have such a nice premium design that doesn't compare with the ones in the 16 size. That is a quite different design here and I can't understand that. So I bought the one with 15 inch.
Don't get the optane!!! If you do you won't be able to upgrade your ssd easily because the Intel raid drivers are used and HP won't allow you to switch to ahci drivers that play nice with Samsung etc. You will be extremely limited to upgrades.
Also, I was trying to compare this specific Spectre to the Microsoft Surface Studio laptop (graphic design work with heavy Adobe Suite use). So the fact that you mentioned that comparison in your review and prefer the HP just put an end to my research lol. Thank you so much!!

I just bought the 16 inch blue Neptune model for the hp spectre x360......32gb of ram and 2 tb ssd........bcuz it was Easter holiday....they had a special discount from $2900.00cad to $2400 in additional of $200 off....so I got it for $2200CAD without tax

the review unit is from HP...the oled display is only glossy to my knowledge

Hp Spectre x360 15 or the smaller ones have such a nice premium design that doesn't compare with the ones in the 16 size. That is a quite different design here and I can't understand that. So I bought the one with 15 inch.

Would this Spectre compete with the Macbook Pro M1 16" base pricewise? If so, the MB is so much better?
It isn't a direct competitor since this is a 2 in 1. I would take this over the Apple...
On their website under ssd options they didn't mention that 1 tb is intel optane, they saying that it is tlc ssd
