I LOVE your teaching style! You made this tutorial totally understandable and the BEST takeaway for me was putting one word per text box! You have so much more flexibility when doing that. I was working on something today that drove me crazy and if I had put each word into one text box, I would not have spent so much time on my project. ALSO, I have looked at many different tutorials on connecting cursive fonts but your tutorial helped me completely understand what I need to do! Thank you so much!
Hi, this was a great tutorial. Can you do one on how to get the dot of the “I” to attach? I’m trying to make a stand up cake topper and the dot on the “I” and question mark is separate.
I’m a beginner and something that I just learned after googling - is why after I’d weld, some of my letter blacked out. My font was too close, maybe add that in if you do a desktop version video. This was SO frustrating for me when I first started. Save someone else that frustration 😉 Thank you!
Makers Gonna Learn the o in the hello is open just enough that it will have to be weeded out and the d in friends is the same way. I’m wondering if there is a way to close both of those letters to make them a solid o and a solid d instead of having the opening in the o or the d.
Not only did I learn to attach my cursive but I also learned a new word! 😀👍

So when weeding a small word with fonts like this alot of times they rip how can we make the letters thicker so that doesn’t happen? Thank you!
What do you do when your letters move and don’t stay properly aligned when you weld them? And when font gets less bold when you weld it?
Your letters should not go anywhere when you weld. And we have never seen our fonts get less bold when we've welded

Is there a way to close the o in hello and the d in friends?
what do you mean by "close" them?

My weld is ghosted. What do you do to get the weld.
It can be tricky! But it's extremely hard to help you out with such little information.
Makers Gonna Learn I was using a font which I can’t remember for sure. I switched and it worked.
I have a Windows 7 desktop how do I know if it's compatible with design space?
Here is a link straight from Cricut: help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009556033-System-Requirements-Design-Space
Hope this helps.
What font is that? Thanks for the video 😊
If you watched the video you can see that I used Community :)
Makers Gonna Learn I have looked on Design Space and Dafont and can’t find a Community font that looks like that. Help!

I’m using a writing font and for some reason it won’t let me weld the letters together...Does anyone know why?
Hmm Thats odd! Not sure why dear!
What is the name of the font
I have done this process however when I click make it, it seems to shift. My letters will still cut where connected. Any suggestions?
Make sure you weld! :)
I have a design, can u teach me how to set it to cut.
Here is a beginner video about working with cut files in Design Space: ua-cam.com/video/YNTNcxY2O2I/v-deo.html . Hope this helps!
