The best show to see live, caught them at a fest in Volga SD in 1992, best live show ever, went for just them, but saw a lot of other bands that rocked, went for the camping and music experience but gained so much else with the 200k peeps that showed up, all the shitters were full by the end Fastball was the best band all weekend, hands down, full frontal, no contest. hey convinced me that weekend that they were worthy...
Tony Scalzo The Maestro!!! The one kid our crew who were starting out in bands recognized as the most talented of us all. The coolest cat of us all lurking in the shadows with his natural music talent to be revealed in Fastball. Dirt Hill forever.
@Doctah DudemanBro ........As a sixty-plus years young weekend warrior I can give you a) simple answer. They keep going because they love playing music......Period. As time moves on I have played bass with the same guitarist and drummer for over thirty years. Only two keyboardist due to our original #1 lost his hearing. (he was a keys player with KC and Sunshine Band during their prime which was the primary source of too much "crank it up to fifteen" too many times and hearing damage) We never got rich but the Love of music and watching fans enjoy hearing us do something we have done far more than once for free is priceless. We sure never quit our day jobs 😉 but just love making the music. Same with multiple Platinum record bands that play for decades. They don't need the funds but they simply love performing.
have you ever tried listening to fastball's the harsh light of day album while reading stephen king's pet semetary and salem's lot? man, those songs provided the perfect soundtrack to those books... i remember listening to Vampires, Time, Dark Street, Goodbye, and Funny How it Fades Away while reading those books... Gave me effin goosebumps... Fastball, one of the most effin underated bands of all time... And yes, i do "kanta" songs like The Way and Out of my head every once in an effin while... im from the Philippines...And you guys from the States dont appreciate this band well enough... Thanks Miles, Tony and Joey... U have been awesome through and through... Rock on...
Once I email Tony about a private performance at My House , He said He had to talk To Miles first , then He told Me They were busy as They were about to get in the studio to record little white lies , nothing wrong with performing for 5 grand if You think is money They will keep to Themselves by eliminating the midle man who always take most of the band's income leaving the Band with just a small percentage , so support Fastball by going to Their Shows or booking Them and please buy the albums and merchandise so We can enjoy that Great Music for many years.
Thanks for putting on such a great festival, I grew up in P'ville, but moved away many years ago. it was great to come back and see Fastball, G. Love, Gin Blossoms and all the others! I'll definitely be back next year.
These guys have always been tight in their performances! The first time I saw them was at Slims right after the "House of blues" performance! It was like watching "All the pain money can buy" being recorded on the spot! Tony wore the same dragon style shirt as on HOB and Miles came on stage wearing a pink fuzzy wrap.. Hey it's San Francisco! My Sister and I were in tears from laughing. Saw the in S.F. again at Golden Gate Park for the "See Alice Run" benefit concert and finally in San Jose by the Guadalupe park area on the 4th of July. My only complaint was that they butchered "The Way" at that show.. But how many times have they played it.. Don't contaminate the song that built you up! This version being much more truer to the original! Met them backstage briefly, very nice guys!!!
Tell me, baby, what we're gonna do I'll make it easy, got a lot to lose Watch the sunlight coming through Open the window, let it shine on you 'Cause I've been sick and working all week And I've been doing just fine (Hey!) You've been tired of watching me Forgot to have a good time, boy (Hey!) You can't take it all these faces Never keeping it real I know exactly how you feel When you say you've had enough And you might just give it up Oh, oh I will never let you down When you're feeling low on love I'll be what you dreaming of Oh, oh I will never let you down Oh, oh I will never let you down (Hey!) Oh, oh I will never let you down There's a million ways to go Don't be embarrassed if you lose control On the rooftop, now you know Your body's frozen and you lost your soul 'Cause I've been sick and working all week And I've been doing just fine (Hey!) You've been tired of watching me Forgot to have a good time, boy (Hey!) You can't take it all these faces Never keeping it real I know exactly how you feel When you say you've had enough And you might just give it up Oh, oh I will never let you down When you're feeling low on love I'll be what you dreaming of Oh, oh I will never let you down Oh, oh I will never let you down (Hey!) Oh, oh I will never let you down Let me take you where you never go Have a little fun, it's the only way we know Let me show you what you never see You know how to love only when you're holding me When you say you've had enough And you might just give it up Oh, oh I will never let you down When you're feeling low on love I'll be what you dreaming of Oh, oh I will never let you down When you say you've had enough And you might just give it up Oh, oh I will never let you down When you're feeling alone in love I'll be what you dreaming of I will never let you down
Just saw Fastball in NYC at Le Poisson Rouge -- they crushed it! They sound a little rough around the edges in this show. Much tighter in 2019!!! Different bass player now!!!
I don't feel you need to apologize for asking for help from the masses of the internet like you did. Hey Dave, seriously bro? How do you know that this Mr GodtheFather person doesn't have kids or something, or a wife. Someone who's depending on him. So maybe...just maybe... he doesn't have the time, energy, and/or the knowledge/resources to even bother with it. So, he asked for help. He's not "depending" on others to do his "work/ research" for him, rather, he was simply asking for help from someone with more time on their hands. Like you or me. ... Jus sayin😎🤙✌
Vastly underrated and underappreciated Austin band.
The best show to see live, caught them at a fest in Volga SD in 1992, best live show ever, went for just them, but saw a lot of other bands that rocked, went for the camping and music experience but gained so much else with the 200k peeps that showed up, all the shitters were full by the end

Understatement. One of the most underrated bands in the USA
I turned 47 years in early 1998 when "The Way" came out. It was GREAT then and still is. Oh what memories.
I always thought this band had a vaguely sixties era feel to them. What do you think?
Tony Scalzo is a genius.
Miles Zuniga too!
This is the true rock and roll.
Money come, money go but you still playing!!!!!
Tony Scalzo The Maestro!!! The one kid our crew who were starting out in bands recognized as the most talented of us all. The coolest cat of us all lurking in the shadows with his natural music talent to be revealed in Fastball. Dirt Hill forever.

Yes. Very cool, thanks. Love this band.
So cool that someone captured this show on a multi-cam set-up with good sound. Fastball rocks!
One of my favorite bands. The audience is seriously lacking.... :(
jusdafide it's pathetic. The band deserves much better
Looks like they got an early afternoon time slot, which always draws a smaller crowd. bummer :(
Having been to the Pleasantville Music Festival myself, I can assure you the audience is ALWAYS seriously lacking.
To be fair, you're hearing the soundboard, and the mics are a bit far from the audience.
One of the best bands ever!
That song deserves more legs. The band deserve more exposure, just coz that nailed song.
OMG. fastball back in action. I love these guys
Amazing band definitely on my top ten favorite band list!
FML we are getting old #90s #love
I love Fastball!! I've been listening to them everyday lately!
It sure is crazy what these great artists have to do to make a living nowadays
No kidding. Compare this to their clips from 1997, where they played professional venues with professional sound setups. How do you keep going?
@Doctah DudemanBro ........As a sixty-plus years young weekend warrior I can give you a) simple answer. They keep going because they love playing music......Period. I love Fastball, been listening since i first heard their song The Way, awesome Band.

word
The album "The harsh light" makes me remember of the travels I did on a road here um Brazil... good times.
"The way" is more sad and beautifull song.
It does me cry...
Somebody listening this in september 2021???
I love this band. Tony and Miles are such fucking awesome songwriters, singers and musicians.
After the audience's lack of response I would not play there again
I LOVE THESE CATS!
They are still performing!!!!!
i once read somewhere you could get them to preform for 5 grand
planeshift that is depressing and a damned shame if even remotely true.

Great music! Great band!!!
Awsome performance
Freaking great band… ❤️🎸🎵 longevity means a lot to us working musicians…! ( I’m 67 years Young ) ….!
It sucks they had such a crappy crowd….!!! 🙄
Saw them last night in Stuart, Florida. Small, but supportive crowd. Great show!
ótima banda
Lovethisguys!
Amo o som que esses caras fazem. É muito bom.

Like " muy bueno"!!!!!!!!
Just saw Fastball in NYC at Le Poisson Rouge -- they crushed it! They sound a little rough around the edges in this show. Much tighter in 2019!!! Different bass player now!!!
I know Fastballs not a top tier act but god they deserve a lot more people than that in the crowd
Love comes in wave tem trechos muito parecidos com a música do óculos, dos Paralamas do sucesso 🤭
damn why i cant find any of their album back 2000
32:10 canta canta 😁👍
language in the Philippines pronounces as Kanta Kanta means sing
What happened to the mix on the drums?
I´m working here and singing all the songs! And this people on the show doing nothing...
Not one person knew the chorus or could it not be picked up on the microphone? Great song ✌️💙
Does anyone know the last song. I think it's a cover. I'm looking for the song and band...
The song is called "Always never" from the album "Little White Lies"
In left is Nando Reis...??
Parece, mas não é... heheheh
Can someone give the Setlist for this Performance?
John_ 5716
Yes. You can.
Step 1- Listen
Step 2- Type
Stop depending on everyone else
Dave Carsley Look I’ve been trying to listen to this whole thing but I’ve been busy. I can’t listen to a 40 Video entirely. I apologize.
I don't feel you need to apologize for asking for help from the masses of the internet like you did.

georgie fame and the blue flames
What is the Midnight Oil singer doing there?
His ass is rockin' out with balled head out!!
Why did her jokes fall flat? I thought Pam was deserving of much more applause.
bit of a low energy intro there...
Bad audience for a good band. Too bad so sad.
horrible mix. no drums
