Spot on. I feel like you're my coach. Whenever I start getting slack with my shooting, I will go back to using only one arrow for practice. One shot. This is it. Can't miss. Like you say, "Get Hunt Minded".
What you guys think about ,with three fingers below nock ,Gripping fingers in joint or tips? I pull string easier in joint . Can I get a smooth release?
Archers! 🏹 Watch this post very carefully and notice how consistent the shot sequence has to be to get the results. No over thinking but focus . Time for me to watch this post yet again! 🏹🦌🏹🦌🏹🦌🏹🦌🏹🦌
Thank you so much for all your videos! They have really helped me in my shooting! I am saving up for one of your bows they look really nice and you help out to by always getting your arrows in the 10 ring! Some day I will be able to shoot like that. Thank you so much for all your help!
Archery is 25% equipment, 75% mental, spiritual, physical. Let me change that. Life is 25% whatever and 75% mental.... Jeff, Thanks for making the great products for the 25% part and mostly for.......caring about that 75% for us. Anecdotally, a recent personally story was when I started practicing (for hunting) out at 30 yards my groups fell apart. I was besides myself, no...even furious. I couldn't understand, so I went back to the basics and watched and rewatched Jeff's vidoes. That is when I stumbled on my the problem. Subconsciously I was thinking that over drawing and I was anchoring at about 28.5" when my normal anchor is 27", was needed to compensate for the added distance shooting 45 lbs with 620gr, high FOC arrows. Once I reestablished my draw to 27", and adjust my instinctive aim, I was back on track. Not perfect, but in the kill zone. I fully credit Jeff's videos on helping me to re-establish my awareness of all the elements of traditional instinctive archery.
As always a great video, I’ve shooting traditional bows for 30 years still always learning. I read your post on Facebook about you getting into a slump, and that’s where I was too. So I put the clicker on my bow got it adjusted , and this morning start shootings bare shaft arrows and working on form and started shootings much better.
Love your natural teaching lessons. Bought up on the great Jeff Kavenah lessons .How is his health? I'm down here, GoldCoast, Queensland, Australia. Spent 40 plus years with a rifle. Loving Archery.!
I always shoot better when I can get my switch to flip into kill mode and get aggressive. I focus so much better and my shots are really strong. nice video 👍
Not getting a full draw and tucking that arrow in is the biggest reason for loss of accuracy. Dropping arm and cocking head sideways and all that stuff is bad but not drawing that bow back all the way is bad bad bad......good stuff man however that learning curve is just something everyone has to go through.......that I can shoot a pop tab at 30 then miss a deer at 5.......yep......its a consistent full draw. Man you guys are making some very nice looking woods
My friends and I always look at 3D shoots as hunting practice, sometimes the shots are ones that you wouldn't take while actually hunting, but make for fun way to test your skills. I have good imagination so I can make small circle on a target look like a 180"jackalope. Lol...I feel your commitment to make better archers of us all! Thankyou.
Thank you so much for these great videos. I'm 57 years old and just getting back into traditional archery. I could hit anything as a kid instinctively but now that's a different story. It's frustrating to say the least. I'm lost at what arrows to use for certain poundage bows, what is the best string for each bow, is my brace height right and string knocked properly and the list goes on. I'm using older vintage recurve bows by Bear, Herter's and two custom made bows. I'm sticking with one bow for now until I can use it effectively. God bless and thanks again for this valuable information. Do you offer any online personal paid instruction, I'd mainly like to know if I'm drawing correctly and setting up properly? Sincerely, Mike C.
Thanks Mike, we actually do one on one in person by appointment at our shop here in north Alabama, if you could possibly get someone to video you shooting and send it to me I could definitely help by phone free of charge but either way we’d be glad to look into your setup and form with you just give us a call or email us instinctiveaddiction@gmail.com
I am getting back into trad archery after a long break, got myself a ThunderHorn longbow 49@28 I am planing on shooting Victory trad carbons. What arrow length and setup would you start with? I’ll probably draw right at 28” I like to have a couple inches past my hand as not to run the risk of nicking myself. What spine, length and weight would you go with for hunting setup. I don’t like outserts…
I just started with 30 lbs recurve but I pull 26inches under my chin and 28inches side of my face. I'm doing this and that but actually under my chin looking at the 🎯 nailing tight groups of thickness of my finger at 10 yards, some touching. I only started 6 days ago but suffer to get any group with arrow side of my face 🤷. I mean 20 groups all tight under my chin. Wonder how to perfect groups side of my face 😔. I get extra 2 inches of pull and arrows penetrate very well. Maybe when I buy my hunting bow buy 50 lbs instead of 45 lbs 🤣🤣🤣

Beautiful bow! What is she?
What shooting glove do you use?

I love the victory carbon trad 450’s in that weight range and they do come with the best shok stainless outserts factory 👍🏻

Man I can never get with "pulling through the shot" every time I tried that I move a lot
If you are shooting three fingers under you are Aiming with the arrow that is not instinctive
