With that being said I just gotta play my premiums aggressively, if people want to call with 4 random cards than so be it.
I think that if you're going to be slow-playing some of your AAxx hands pre-flop, you should add in some more 3 and 4-bets with hands like A678 and AQJT to balance. It's common to see players who only raise their AAxx hands, and while you're disguised to a degree when you limp or flat-call some of them, I think it will make it even more obvious that you have AAxx to the more observant players when you do show aggression, especially if people are now watching your videos.

Although AA in plo is much weaker than it is in hold em, you will still wins majority of your money with them you just have to know how best to play them. I’m still getting more comfortable and experienced playing deeper although buying $500 is deeper than I bought in during my earlier episodes. The 2-$500 bullets has been working well for me but I’ll experiment with buying deeper down the road plus I plan on playing some bigger games here soon.
Regarding the buy in, 20-25 buy ins is always a standard to follow. If you play tighter you can get away with a bit less but if you play looser than you’d want a bit more as you’ll have larger swings.
My average session is 3.5 hours and most of them are between 3 and 4 hours. I usually max out at 4 hours because I’ve seen from my past that after that I tend to play worse whether it’s boredom or lack of focus
Neither of those first two hands are raises pre? God I'm horrible at PLO Edit: you address this towards the middle. I probably play those hands a bit faster pre. I'm bad at PLO but I feel like I can fold bad flops but when the flop comes a dream like A22 you can make much more with the 3bet pre but idk. Will be I'm Vegas for 5 days in September now and gonna take to the PLO streets
I’m not saying that my play is the ultimate Gto absolutely correct play but I find it’s more profitable in my game at least to just flat with some AA especially OOP, like take that first one for example, I could have 3 bet to $90 and at least one of those players would have called but probably both. Then I have around $300 left in a $300 pot when flops comes 1086 2♣️, what do you do at that point? I’m just playing devils advocate here, just suggesting there’s more than one way to skin a cat as the old saying goes. My main point is even the best AA are very average on a lot of flops in plo especially OOP and against multiple opponents. I lost a lot of money when I first starting playing plo for this reason, I believe it’s similar to AK in Holdem, everyone has seen players go crazy with it when they could have probably lived to fight another day.
KK88,and KK99 hands was played bad..sometimes when you run good or with these type of hands you should be playing for stacks,3betting,4bets,and playing very aggressive.Obviously AA is in much better shape against these hands, but you have plenty of equity. You can't just call a single raise with huge hands like these, because in the end,you are gonna pay for playing like that, while running good..
I generally prefer keeping the pots a bit smaller preflop and you can see but I respect your rationale on these. Definitely could 3 n 4 bet them and just hope they don’t have AA.
Yeah you're covering the fact that they're gonna know and adjust to your tendencies etc. So definitely need to balance your play. Nonetheless, youre printing on nearly every session. So keep doing what you're doing and I think stick to your natural tendencies and pick your spots
I know not being well-balanced is one of my biggest leaks but luckily it hasn’t hurt me much as most players in the game don’t put attention to the little details like that. It’ll be great to work on it now not just to improve for this game but more so for 5/10 and above where the average player there is more likely to exploit an unbalanced player.
Sorry about that, I’ve had the graphics in the same spot for a while and this was the first time it was brought to my attention that they’re being covered. I’ll see what I can do to change them moving forward, thanks for the heads up
You do it again multiple times in this video, your equity is so much higher when you 3bet these strong hands and go heads up. It makes no sense to just call with AAKT in the small blind after an open and 2 calls. You’re just losing money for no reason
@@soxhater819 I agree with you but they key is “heads up.” I try only 3 betting when I feel like I can get some players to fold. In my game I usually can only do that when it’s a larger 3 bet which I’ve done a bunch in earlier videos with the limp utg AA then repop but even then I usually get 3-4 callers. I’m not disagreeing with your rationale just giving my thoughts on it. I appreciate the always honest feedback, are you from New York and a Yankees fan by chance?
@@DonkFishPoker yep Yankee fan from NJ. It’s true you won’t always go heads up when you 3Bet pot but it should at least thin the field, or even take it down right there which is also a good result. I guess if nobody is folding you’ll go multi way but you’re doing so with the best hand most of the time. Also just calling allows a better price for the people behind to call as well, which also happened a few times in this video
@@soxhater819 I picked up on the east coast bluntness since I’m originally from Jersey. I agree with your points. In my game 3 bets never take it down so it would be multi way most times. I’m a couple weeks behind on editing a session so not quite sure why I didn’t 3 bet these AA but I do in my next session.
We gotta stop calling with AAxx lol if your AA is bad and unsuited sure but you have single suited aces and are flatting everytime, start 3betting more rundowns if you think people are putting you on aces every time. Flatting in the sb multiway is fine but both times there is 1-2 people in the pot and we are flatting letting others come in, then in MP we just flat to with AAQ7 suited to the ace, if you are scared to 3bet shouldnt be playing plo at all
It’s not a matter of being scared to 3 bet, my goal isn’t to play Gto, my goal is to win money and try to teach others how to do that in plo which doesn’t always mean making the “book move” IMO. It’s more about being balanced which I’ve been working on these past couple sessions. I also address this in my outro as well, thanks for the feedback.
I have to agree here also, I see you flat alot with AAxx single suited. That's an easily 3beat hand. Even if you missed the board. But you can get one or two players out of the hand b4 the flop. You play to scared for PLO, in my opinion. I believe I said this in one of your other videos. But keep the PLO vlogs coming, bc only you and Andrew are making PLO vlogs. That's all I play now, but with 5 cards
@@jessiemooney2140 I respect your opinion and I know that’s the Gto play. Maybe I just gotta do it and see what happens, if players are going to call with trash so be it. Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback, there’s always room for improvement. Gotta be Maryland then lol
@@DonkFishPoker That's why GTO is 3betting rundowns and A876ds to keep you balanced GTO doesn't only mean 3betting AAxx but it is 3betting a ton of AAxx combos especially when they are suited. I love the plo vlogs, i just think you are playing scared or your logic why you arent 3betting isnt right playing gto or not 3betting good hands is going to win money flatting AA and going 4-5 ways is so hard to play unless you flop top set. Just my opinion im glad you responded and hope you dont take my criticism to hard
This is a situation where, you really have no idea how much value your forfeiting, and how badly your getting bluffed off winners, by playing so tight and nitty. Its not just how your playing certain hands, its in your thoughts during the hands. Your playing a total "Survival Mode" to try to get hours in and more hands, I understand. Just ask a few other PLO crushers how they perceive your play. In some spots, your tight play is very good, but in others, your literally, rolling out the red carpet to get sucked out on, and or outplayed.
I respect and appreciate your opinion. I would say I’m playing how I feel is best to win which obviously doesn’t mean that it is indeed the best. All I can do is improve moving forward and hope I can find a better balance between playing aggressive and being more passive. I will definitely do my best to improve moving forward, thanks again.

Your play are too passive You have all the monster hand the whole night and you are just wasting the potential of the hand by limping….you could have win more
I only won with AA one time, lost the other 4 so maybe I could have won another one or two of those hands by narrowing the field preflop but I know the players I play with and for example if I 3 bet that first hand I know they are both calling and after the flop I’m basically dead so it’s definitely a give and take. Thanks, much appreciated. I immediately thought of Luca Doncic when you said that. How’s Slovenia?

@@elmiddrdr4523 awesome, I might take you up on that. I’ve always wanted to do a Euro trip. Yeah he seems like an awesome guy and he just got paid 🤑
Fuq the book! The object of this game is to make money and you're doing great at that!
Thanks Joseph, I agree. While I believe knowing the GTO or book play is important it’s certainly not the best way to make money in live plo imo.
Thanks for the feedback 🍻
Why don’t you raise pre with your aces?
I do and did raise with at least one of them. I just didn’t 3 bet with them when there was a raise in front of me.
How big should my backroll be in order to play these stakes ?
Also, why no max buyin ?
I’m still getting more comfortable and experienced playing deeper although buying $500 is deeper than I bought in during my earlier episodes. The 2-$500 bullets has been working well for me but I’ll experiment with buying deeper down the road plus I plan on playing some bigger games here soon.
Regarding the buy in, 20-25 buy ins is always a standard to follow. If you play tighter you can get away with a bit less but if you play looser than you’d want a bit more as you’ll have larger swings.
What is the best starting hand in plo
Every source will tell you either AAKKDS or AAJTDS, I prefer the latter as it has better board coverage.
I had AK33 in the hand. Hoping the other guy or you had a full house.
Which hand was that?
When going thru the hand if you could go at a little slower pace that would be great.
I believe I do in my more recent vlogs. Thanks for the feedback Eric
How many hours do you spend per sesh?
My average session is 3.5 hours and most of them are between 3 and 4 hours. I usually max out at 4 hours because I’ve seen from my past that after that I tend to play worse whether it’s boredom or lack of focus
@@DonkFishPoker interesting. i find i have to play for a min of 5 hours before I pick up momentum. usually a fold-fest on my part until that point.
Neither of those first two hands are raises pre? God I'm horrible at PLO
Edit: you address this towards the middle. I probably play those hands a bit faster pre. I'm bad at PLO but I feel like I can fold bad flops but when the flop comes a dream like A22 you can make much more with the 3bet pre but idk. Will be I'm Vegas for 5 days in September now and gonna take to the PLO streets
Most people would 3 bet them, I prefer to 3 bet when I can get the spr lower and/or be in position, I was SB in both. I know it’s not GTO though.
@@DonkFishPoker I actually just edited my comment as you were responding lol!
@@DonkFishPoker 1086 2 clubs just check fold.
@@pokerstatistician5083 yep that’s what I did, pretty awful flop for aces especially against 2 players and OOP
Nice bud
Thanks man, first comment! Lol
@@DonkFishPoker I'm a suckered for PLO :)
@@bensparv7313 I hear you there haha. Do you have live plo near you?
Yeah you're covering the fact that they're gonna know and adjust to your tendencies etc. So definitely need to balance your play. Nonetheless, youre printing on nearly every session. So keep doing what you're doing and I think stick to your natural tendencies and pick your spots
I know not being well-balanced is one of my biggest leaks but luckily it hasn’t hurt me much as most players in the game don’t put attention to the little details like that. It’ll be great to work on it now not just to improve for this game but more so for 5/10 and above where the average player there is more likely to exploit an unbalanced player.
Your subtitles covered the flops most of the time so hard for people to follow you
Sorry about that, I’ve had the graphics in the same spot for a while and this was the first time it was brought to my attention that they’re being covered. I’ll see what I can do to change them moving forward, thanks for the heads up
You cant take AAxx hands 4 and 5 ways... think you have to play these hands a little stronger
You’re definitely right, sometimes I’m a bit gun shy. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
First hand you messed up completely, so much dead money, you have to pot that pre, you shouldn’t just be calling and letting it go 4 ways
@@DonkFishPoker yeah even if it doesn’t get folds, it would definitely prevent the cold calls behind. At least thing this field a little
We gotta stop calling with AAxx lol if your AA is bad and unsuited sure but you have single suited aces and are flatting everytime, start 3betting more rundowns if you think people are putting you on aces every time.
Jessie Mooney Are you playing at Maryland live?
Start 3 betting
That seems to be the most common feedback I’ve received on this video. I will definitely work on it moving forward, thanks for the suggestion
I will definitely do my best to improve moving forward, thanks again.

.y r u hesitant........... .
Your play are too passive
You have all the monster hand the whole night and you are just wasting the potential of the hand by limping….you could have win more
I only won with AA one time, lost the other 4 so maybe I could have won another one or two of those hands by narrowing the field preflop but I know the players I play with and for example if I 3 bet that first hand I know they are both calling and after the flop I’m basically dead so it’s definitely a give and take. Thanks for the feedback.
