    The problem is this:
    People believe that God inspired the Bible's writers, yet we don't take seriously His promise to preserve His word.
    Do we really think that God would have his Word not known and misunderstood, until - "phew, thank goodness for these modern day archeologists who dug up God's true Word, which was buried in the desert for centuries on end"....
    The Authorized King James Version is THE WORD OF GOD IN ENGLISH. The evidence strongly shows that. It is that simple.

    I am very thankful to God that my love for the KJV (from the 80's when many Christians were trying to get me to change to NIV or something) came from the study of His Holy Word and not any preacher, teacher or minister. I knew back then that the other versions were not good, I tried to read them, with no prejudice, and I just couldn't - always went back to the KJV. I settled on getting a Bible with 4 translations (KJV, Amplified, New American Standard and NIV) - LOL, still ended up reading ONLY the KJV part or if I went to the other versions, I had my trusted KJV nearby. Now all of these videos are coming out about the authenticity of the KJV - I knew it was authentic before there was even a UA-cam channel. Just sit and read, study, learn, live the Word of God, all of this debate does one thing and that is to bring division and to keep us from falling in love with Him through His word. PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS!! God speaks to us (humans) through His Holy Word, for the most part. Even if we receive a vision or a dream it MUST line up with God's Holy Word - so wouldn't it be to the Devil benefit to corrupt His Holy Book. I even read an excerpt (MYSELF) from an article from that follower of Satan Manly P Hall where he said verbatim about publishing a new version of the Bible because all the Christians wanted was the good ole KJV every jot and tittle of it!! Here is the link-- see page 8 on the PDF (manlyhall.org/horizon/horizon-0401-spring-1944.pdf). Why would a known mason and Satan worshiper be concern about bringing in new Bible versions, huh????

    I appreciate what Rick Flanders has to say. While I consult many translations of the Bible I find that I keep going back to the King James Version. Modern translations are so "low-voltage" compared to the KJV. While this is a "subjective" statement to me the KJV just "rings" with authority. I do not put people down who use modern translations. The fact is, so many today simply cannot understand the vocabulary of the KJV (sadly, and to their own impoverishment). I'm glad that so many years ago my Grandfather introduced me to the KJV. He planted seeds that would prove to be deeply implanted within my heart. Folks, lets not squabble or attack people who use modern translations of the Bible. Let's simply show the love if Jesus to them. THAT will speak louder than any words we could possibly say (or any arguments we could put forth). Grace and peace be to all God's children.

      The King James AV1611 is the standard. It's the bible God choose, that he authorised. All to his glory.

      And goodness, we should not be translating the KJV to other languages - it's not the standard that God inspired. The original languages are what we should be forming new translations from.

    All of these “modern” versions have taken out the very word of God. They are all corrupted. The enemy has enticed men to change God’s Word for greedy gain and vanity. America has done this. The corruption and confusion prolific in this nation and the world today are a consequence of the opening this wicked door. Judgement is coming, and it will begin at the house of God. America has become Babylon, the harlot of Revelation. She sits on a scarlet colored beast that will burn her with fire. The Lord is about to rip open the foundations of the deep, and with the earth, destroy the earth. The only “ark” in which we can be saved is Jesus Christ Himself.

    This man is one of the nicest preachers I've ever met. For 6 years I heard him weekly in chapel when I attended his school in Michigan. I went with him on college trips and talked with him and although I did not attend his church, he was kind. I didn't always agree with his conclusions, particularly like this one about the KJV, which I greatly admire as a classic, I think Rick Flanders is a good man. I also greatly respect Tyndale, and his contribution to the AV (KJV). However, the Jack Hyles heresy that the 1611 version is somehow more inspired than much earlier Greek copies is false gospel. It is important to call out heresy where we see it, and the idolatry of putting an English translation, which I love, on the very same level as the earliest Greek copies is just wrong. We can love the KJV, but it is not right to say it is the only version. Some of it is opaque. I have studied it all my life, along with Shakespeare, and I still have trouble understanding several passages that are so archaic. I learned Greek and I do not claim to be a scholar, but I've read the Bible in KJV and Greek and honestly the KJV is harder to understand in some places than the Greek is! But I do love and respect this man, and he is honest.

    The question you raised concerning various Bible versions is a very complex issue that cannot be adequately discussed in a letter. Often times it is filled with more emotion and heat than it is knowledge and light. Let me share with you my own conclusions after studying these issues. Bible versions, such as the New International Version and the New American Standard Bible, have been translated by godly men of demonstrated academic repute from the very best manuscript evidence that is available today. May I add, the manuscript evidence that is now available is far superior to that which was available to the King James Version's translators in 1611.

    So why did that preservation end in 1611? Nobody can make an accurate translation anymore? Why was it right for those translators to update Tyndale? Does Dr Flanders not engage in textual criticism when he tells us some manuscripts are better than others? Final question: does Dr Flanders actually believe these are convincing arguments that lead inescapably to accepting his favorite version as the only faithful version?

    I haven't listened to this sermon yet, but this is one of the reasons why I don't go to church anymore. Nobody uses the King James Version, and the Church is watered down enough as it is without using it, but since most churches want to use another "version", I don't go. Also, today's songs are so "weird". They lack the Word of God in them.

    The fact is that there are readings in the Greek text that is behind the KJV for which there are no manuscripts; however, the further fact is that most passages included in the KJV that are excluded from modern translations have many manuscripts to support them. Older does not mean better. When older is VERY few and newer is very many but from multiple regions, it is VERY difficult to prove collusion of corruption. Modern critical text favoring scholars want us to think that the solution is simple - use the older manuscripts, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is a massively complex topic and many that have studied if for years come upon the conclusion that the majority text is more accurate than the minority text (funny, you rarely hear NA or UBS fans use that accurate terminology [smile]). If you have not spent years studying this issue for many hours each year, you should never dogmatically assert something you've heard a scholar say. Make your own decision, sure, but don't put your faith in men and then act like you've done the research yourself. I've been studying this issue for at least 50-60 hours per year for the past 15+ years and I am still not completely convinced of either viewpoint. And there are scholars who have studies it for thousands of hours and come down on both sides, so it is OBVIOUSLY not a simple, decided, clear-cut issue.

    Hello Paul Chappell!!! I hope that this communication finds you well... With all due respect and reverence, of which you, as another unique and individual human being, do indeed deserve, I would like to ask you a question, a question that I hope you will give all due and prayerful consideration... Why would the founders of protestant sects, who only rely on the KJV of the Bible, rely on the KJV of the Bible??? The founders of the protestant sects relying only on the KJV of the Bible are the same people who, having felt that they, indeed, were being so ruthlessly oppressed by the British, to the extreme point that they were willing to engage in all-out-war with the british to regain and establish their freedom and deserved liberty... Why then, would they, the oppressed, having fought hard to regain their independence , venerate and make holy and absolutely sacred the KJV of the Bible, the same version that King James himself commissioned a group of several individuals to create? The KJV of the Bible is the product of only a small amount of information from a small amount of the many many many scrolls available... Why would the oppressed make sacred the version of the Bible given to them by the British, the one's they felt were oppressing them, as the only valid and accurate source of knowledge and information, from which to live and seek spiritual comfort and salvation... I understand that you, like every other human being, are only seeking answers to this beautiful mystery we are living in... The mystery of life... I appeal to your intelligence, with the exclusion of your education...due to the fact that education and intelligence are not at all anything synonymous with one another... An educated person may be completely void of any valuable knowledge and experience that would really amount to what the Greeks referred to as Sophia (wisdom) she is lovely, indeed, even as Solomon describes her to be... An uneducated person may, Also be full of knowledge and actual experience that would truly amount to Sophia (Wisdom❤) I do hope that, upon this comment coming into your awareness, you have up to that point had an enjoyable experience of Love, Compassion, and Kindness, while going about your day... If you would care to further engage in discussion on this topic, I feel completely willing to do so with you....

    I didn't watch the video because I don't have time, but did God say that the KJV is the exclusive Bible that should be followed? Moreover, I was reading that the KJV provides an incorrect rendering for the word Cananaean in Matthew 10:4 and Mark 3:18, so how can it be perfect? That word should be Zealot according to Zondervan Illustrated Bible Dictionary pg. 245, ISBN-13: 978-0310229834. I welcome anyone''s feedack.

    BTW - To be clear, my comments on this video are not a defense of KJV onlyism - anyone who studies the Greek text knows that the KJV is a great translation (one of the best), but there are errors in the translation as well. Not trying to start an argument with KJV only folks here, just making sure my position is not misconstrued. I believe we must investigate and defend on a case-by-case basis the accuracy of the text and, in my experience, more often than not, the majority text has been upheld against the critical text - though I would not call myself a majority text-only person either ;-)

Some of your statements are either so far off the wall or they come close to the truth but than you give your assumptions and you sound ignorant of the real facts. Come on, the MT close to the Critical text and the TR follows the Latin Vulgate? Who are you listening to or reading after or are these your misunderstood opinions of either misinformation or half truth and half forgotten statements? Do you read Hebrew and Greek? And have you personally examined the evidence? Wow, what wild misplaced opinions and prejudices.

    • @shultman37
      @shultman37 10 років тому

      LOL sir you absolutely have done no study on the TR if you believe that it was not heavily influenced by the Latin Vulgate. The CT, that while yes do not follow the MSS as closely (although doctrine is still contained in both text types), due to the fact that the MSS is largely later date text. However, if you look at the evidence of the earliest manuscripts (papri), you will note that they DO in fact follow the CT and not the TR. You can get such info from:
      The Bible in English: its history and influence. New Haven, Conn: Yale University Press. Daniell, David (2003).
      or:
      The Authorized Edition of the English Bible, 1611, its subsequent reprints and modern representatives. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. Scrivener, Frederick Henry Ambrose (1884).
      Apparently you are one of the KJO folks who reads exclusively from TR manuscripts as they help to supplant all your findings that they are closer to the TR. However, like many others (including james white of whom is much more a scholar then myself) we examine all the different chains of evidence and manuscripts. Hence the rejection of 1 John 5:7-8. But that's a different discussion.

      Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
      The Fruit of the KJV is for all to see, in 400 years many millions have been saved from the preaching of the Cross from the KJV.
      The KJV can lay claim to at least three great revivals or great awakenings.
      the KJV has good fruit to its credit.
      I wonder what the fruit the modern versions have, for all of there so-called easier to read mantra, we have seen, playboy, penthouse, r- rated movies xxx rated movies, abortion, the removal of prayer from our schools, the 60's counterculture with soft rock, then rock, hard rock, metal, heavy metal, acid, and punk rock, the gays came out of the closet, America has become a cesspool of filth and crime has exploded over the years.
      there are now hundreds of English versions of the bible but where is the fruit of all of these modern easier to read bibles? the fruit is rotten to the core and even the core is rotten.
      when they kicked the KJV to the curb and produced all of these modern versions the difference in the fruit between the KJV and the modern version is as different as the two paths of text underlying them, the KJV comes from the God preserved text know as the TR and the modern versions come from Alexandrian texts from the Gnostics of Egypt.

  • @dbcustomrc
    @dbcustomrc 3 роки тому

    I like the KJV. I read the KJV and prefer it as my primary version. However, the point he makes at time stamp 43:22 is folly. The speaker makes the point that those who actually spoke or wrote the inspired word of God, or those who were reading original texts from those words would not pause to state that they do not know what a certain word meant or that they would reference other biblical texts to explain words or phrases. Of course they would not do that because the languages used in those texts were not dead or entirely lost as they are today. Any Biblical scholar worth his salt who has ever studied biblical texts knows that there are words we have to be careful with because we do not fully know their meaning, or that there are multiple meanings for them. The word love for instance. We do not see many translations, including the KJV, that accurately relay the meaning of the word love. It is only by going back and translating ancient texts that we realize how many versions of love there are and that they have each have a different meaning. This is a classic misrepresentation of KJ onlyism. Again, I don’t speak against the KJV, but there is more to what this man says than he leads you to believe.

    In Him you also trusted, after you heard The WORD of TRUTH, THE GOOD NEWS of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were SEALED with The Holy Spirit of Promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until The Redemption of The Purchased Possession, to the praise of His glory.
    Qorintiyim Aleph / 1 Corinthians 15:1 Now I make known to you, Brethren, THE GOOD NEWS which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are SAVED, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, except you believed in VAIN. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that the MESSIAH DIED FOR OUR SINS According to The SCRIPTURES; 4 and that HE WAS BURIED; and that HE HAS BEEN RAISED ON THE THIRD DAY According to The SCRIPTURES. (2Cor.5)
    Romiyim / Romans 2:16 in the day when ELOHIM shall judge the secrets of men, according to my GOOD NEWS by YAHUSHUA THE MESSIAH.
    Romiyim / Romans 2:24
    For “the name of ELOHIM is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.
    Eph`siyim / Ephesians 3:19 and to know the LOVE of THE MESSIAH which passes KNOWLEDGE, that you may be filled to all the FULLNESS of ELOHIM. 20 Now to HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to HIM be the Glory in the assembly and in THE MESSIAH YAHUSHUA to all generations forever and ever. Truly.
    Romiyim / Romans 10:8 But what does it say? THE WORD is near you, in your MOUTH, and in your HEART: that is, THE WORD OF FAITH, which we preach: 9 because if you shall CONFESS with your MOUTH that YAHUSHUA IS SOVEREIGN, and shall BELIEVE in YOUR HEART that ELOHIM raised HIM from the dead, you shall be saved: 10 for with the HEART man BELIEVES to RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the MOUTH CONFESSION is made to SALVATION. 11 For the scripture says, Whoever believes on HIM shall not be put to shame. 12 For there is no distinction between Yahudi (Jew) and Greek: for the same Master is SOVEREIGN of all, and is rich, to all that call on HIM: 13 for, whoever shall call on the name of The Master shall be SAVED.
    14 How then shall they call on HIM in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in HIM whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
    Yahanan Aleph / 1 John 3:23 And this is HIS COMMANDMENT, that we should BELIEVE in the NAME of HIS SON YAHUSHUA THE MESSIAH, and LOVE one another, even as HE gave us COMMANDMENT. 24 And he that keeps HIS COMMANDMENTS lives in HIM, and HE in him. And by this we know that HE lives in us, by THE SPIRIT which HE gave us.
    Tehillim / Psalms 78:10 They did not keep The COVENANT of ELOHIM;
    They refused to walk in His law.
    Tas`loniqim Bet / 2 Thessalonians 1:7 and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Sovereign YAHUSHUA from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire, 8 rendering vengeance to them that do NOT know ELOHIM and to them that do NOT obey the GOOD NEWS of our Sovereign YAHUSHUA.
    Eph`siyim / Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these the wrath of ELOHIM comes upon the sons of disobedience.
    Tehillim / Psalms 91:14 “Because he has set his LOVE upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
    I will set him on high, because he has known MY NAME.
    Tehillim / Psalms 25:14 The secret of YAHUEH is with those who fear HIM, And HE will show them His COVENANT.
    Mattithyahu / Matthew 26:28 For this is My BLOOD of THE NEW COVENANT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
    Tehillim / Psalm 145:17 YAHUEH is Righteous in all His ways, And gracious in all his works. 18 YAHUEH is near to all them that call upon HIM, To all that call upon HIM in TRUTH. 19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear HIM; He also will hear their cry, and will SAVE them. 20 YAHUEH preserves all them that LOVE HIM; But ALL the WICKED will he destroy. 21 My mouth shall speak the PRAISE of YAHUEH; And let all flesh bless HIS SET APART NAME for ever and ever.
    Eph`siyim / Ephesians 2:14-22
    For He Himself is our PEACE, who has made both ONE, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in HIMSELF ONE NEW MAN from the two, thus making PEACE, and that HE might Reconcile them BOTH to ELOHIM in ONE BODY through the stake, thereby putting to death the enmity. And HE CAME and PREACHED PEACE to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through HIM we both have access by ONE SPIRIT to THE FATHER.
    Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but FELLOW-CITIZENS with the saints and members of the HOUSEHOLD of ELOHIM, having been built on the FOUNDATION of the APOSTLES and PROPHETS, YAHUSHUA MESSIAH HIMSELF being THE CHIEF CORNER-STONE, in whom the WHOLE building, being fitted together, grows into a HOLY TEMPLE in THE MASTER, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of ELOHIM in THE SPIRIT.
    Tehillim / Psalms 68:4 Sing to ELOHIM, sing praises to HIS NAME: Cast up a highway for HIM that rides through the deserts;
    HIS NAME is יה YAH;
    and exult before HIM.
    5 A Father of the FATHERLESS, and a DEFENDER of the widows, is ELOHIM in HIS holy habitation.
    Mattithyahu / Mathew 22:37And יהושע / יהושוע YAHUSHUA said to him, " ‘You shall LOVE YAHUEH יהוה your ELOHIM with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind. (Deu. 6:5)
    38 “This is The First and Great Commandment.
    39 And the second is like it, ‘
    You shall LOVE your neighbour as yourself. (Lev19:18)
    40 On these two commandments hang all The LAW and The Prophets.
    Romans 8:1 There is, then, now NO condemnation to those who are in Messiah YAHUSHUA, who do not walk according to The Flesh, but according to The Spirit.
    Romans 8:11 And if The Spirit of Him who raised YAHUSHUA from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give Life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you.
    Proverbs 1:23 “Turn at my reproof. See, I pour out my SPIRIT on you, I make my words known to you.
    John / Yahanan 8:31 So YAHUSHUA said to those Yahudim who believed Him, “If you stay in MY WORD, you are Truly My taught ones,
    32 and you shall know The TRUTH, and The TRUTH shall make you FREE.”
    33 They answered Him, “We are the seed of Abraham, and have been servants to no one at any time. How do you say, ‘You shall become free ?”
    34 YAHUSHUA answered them,
    “Truly, Truly, I say to you, everyone doing Sin is a SERVANT of Sin.
    35 “And the servant does NOT STAY in THE HOUSE forever - A SON STAYS FOREVER.
    36 “If, then, The Son makes you FREE, You Shall Be FREE Indeed.
    1 Peter 4:14 If you are reproached for the Name of Messiah, you are blessed, because The Spirit of Glory and of Elohim rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is praised.
    Yeshayahu / Isaiah 64:8 And now, O יהוה YAHUEH, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You our potter. And we are all the work of Your hand.
    Eph`siyim / Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah YAHUSHUA unto GOOD WORKS, which Elohim prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

      The next verse says All scripture is GIVEN by inspiration of God. What Timothy had was a translation from Hebrew into Greek and Paul called it scripture. He said that translation was inspired. A translation God is involved in is always better than the original! Just like when we believers will be translated and GIVEN new glorified bodies.

    While many state that this is a divisive issue, they point to all the OTHER versions as being the problem. Sadly however, many of the KJV Onlyism crowd stands to take the blame on many fronts. It's like, it's my way or the highway. It's like an exclusive club with a lot of snobbery. Those who don't have their head in the sand might remember a number of years back when Jack Hyles was around and going thru some public "fires" if you would, when people were actually asking other believers, "Are you with Bro Hyles, or against him?" I believe there were buttons that the students wore(?)...I may be wrong, but there was a phone blitz put on by so many that would call pastors and former students up asking if they were "FOR" Bro Hyles. Same difference here with KJV. Those who are staunch defenders of the KJV want to throw the gauntlet down, while holding another one in the other hand, ready to stab them if they're not for the KJV. Sad commentary that has been noted by those that know not Christ.

    Adam had a copy of the book of Luke as did Theophilus before Luke wrote his copy for the first time; and when Luke wrote his copy, Adam knew scripture would be fulfilled at that time. Read Luke 1 lines 1 through 4.
    The book of Daniel is called scripture before Daniel wrote his copy.
    Read Daniel 10 line 21 through 11 line 2.
    Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written,
    Man shall not live by bread alone, but by

    Darren - You created a strawman argument! No one, certainly not me is saying that every bible version is from God! Because Wescott as a child was in some silly club, you are really going to hold that against him? Where does it state in the bible that all bible translators r going to be perfect and sinless? Did u realize that King James himself was bisexual? The Encyclopedia described him thusly "He disdained women,and fawned unconscionably on his favorite men" There are no sinless people!

    2 Kings 13:1-10 does not add up chronologically in any of the Bibles, including the King James. From "the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah" (2 Kings 13:1) to "the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah" (2 Kings 13:10) you cannot come up with seventeen years, no matter how you stretch it.
    Proverbs 5:16 in the KJV is translated as a declarative injunction " Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets" seemingly advocating promiscuity and is out of context with the surrounding texts advocating chastity and marital fidelity. In fact Proverbs 5:16 should be read as a rhetorical question, as most modern versions have it, "SHOULD your fountains be dispersed abroad, streams of water in the streets?" (NKJV}, and in this CORRECT context it runs smoothly from the previous verse 5:15 and is answered by the following four verses.
    Here is proverbs 5:15-5:20 to demonstrate, from the New King James, the appropriateness of the updated version of Proverbs 5:16
    15 Drink water from your own cistern,
    And running water from your own well.
    16 Should your fountains be dispersed abroad,
    Streams of water in the streets?
    17 Let them be only your own,
    And not for strangers with you.
    18 Let your fountain be blessed,
    And rejoice with the wife of your youth.
    19 As a loving deer and a graceful doe,
    Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
    And always be enraptured with her love.
    20 For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman,
    And be embraced in the arms of a seductress?
    There are more examples, although personally the Lord has led me by His Spirit (I only speak for myself) to stay with the textus receptus, both in English and in Spanish.

      Looks fine to me, the KJV is perfectly understandable here, and as far as being clear as to sexual matters, the KJV uses that nasty plain word "fornication" where other versions use "sexual immorality" which allows the reader to decide for themselves what morality might be. "It's not immoral, we love each other", unfortunately I have seen it happen in church.

    This whole presentation is based on the "assumption" that the KJV is the preserved word even though in his own words he says it is "400 years old." The very same arguments he uses against new versions could used and were used when the KJV was first printed. Just read the original preface to the KJV. Those translators battled the same arguments, and yet they worked hard to make it very readable for the common person (consider the italicized words that were included)

      +Grote Beer Genesis 19:30-38 is historical narrative recounting the despicable act of Lot's daughters (probably as a result of having been raised in Sodom). In verses 37 & 38 you'll see that this is where the pagan Moabites and Ammonites came from. They were a thorn in the side to Israel all the way through to the Babylonian Captivity.
      To think that this account is "porn" or condoning the wickedness of Lot's daughters is to completely misunderstand the point of the narrative.
