Yep farewell F40 diesels. I love the red flashing light system on the front above the headlights. What's the deal with those coaches on account of the F40 retirement with the electrification of the network?
Seems for whatever reason Caltrain fibbed about the “last” F40 run. See my video of 908 hauling 144 around quarter after midnight early Saturday morning, 9/21/24.
@@caltrain908railfanI heard about a mangled pantograph, but not an EMU “burning up”. Still doesn’t change the facts that 144 seems to have been the last run.
F40s live on on the SCC. Also this wasn't the last F40/Gallery on the peninsula there were at least 3 others in 6 trains
Great video well done!
@@workinghardusa Thanks!

The coaches behind the train are most likely going to be scrapped or put in museums across California.
@@caltrain908railfanoh ok
Cars and locomotives will go to Perú, to ran betweeen Lima and Chosica.
Yeah it sad. I'm making a music video to a tribute to the Caltrain F40's and Galleries
Cool!
The end of the era has come.
@@atsfevan0242 It sadly has.
Hey, caltrain is not going to retire the F40PH-2Cs, they are going to keep all three!😄
@@StewartAlonzoMarshall Not all three, they are only keeping 921 and 922 is uncertain. JPBX 920 has already been retired a week ago.
@@caltrain908railfanall of them are being kept as of the 23rd

@@CentralJerseyRailfan Last F40 on the Peninsula Commute.
That one is not being retired. It’s a rebuild
@@SBRstudios That’s what I thought too, but it turns out they will be retiring JPBX 920 and JPBX 922. For some reason they are keeping JPBX 921.
