Affinity Photo is a photo editing app competing with photoshop, of course you can. just drop textures in, resize, select blending mode/opacity. or use some of the built in tools to texure it, in the end the gradient is just a layer that can be used how you see fit.
Awesome technique! Until Affinity actually adds mesh gradient support, this seems like the best method.
