Thanks for the lovely pep talk. I think she is a bit sad because she moved to the city and misses her country home with all the beautiful green spaces. Her high-rise apartment has only one tree outside. A lovely tree, but a lonely tree, and she is feeling it too. She especially misses her dog, her sweet pal, who had to stay behind. No pets allowed where she is living now. As she walks down the sidewalk she thinks of him and how much he would enjoy walking with her. And she with him. I hope she finds a better living accommodation soon where he can join her and they can bubble over with joy.

Do you ever use those? I love media that give me high contrast, I always get a bit impatient when the watercolours dry and all my contrast seems to go up in smoke haha! I’m still trying to get into youtube alongside my patreon page and filming Skillshare classes, but I’ll do my best to give my youtube channel some more TLC. 😉 Happy creating!

This was great and very inspiring ❤ I think it's important to have a journal like this. An inexpensive one is helpful too, so you don't feel the need to have every page be a masterpiece and justify the cost. I think the woman in this portrait has been f**ked with one too many times and is a bit distrustful. She seems to be expecting more trouble.
Thank you Diane! ❤️ Yes, absolutely. My absolute favourite cheap journal is the kraft sketchbook by Hahnemuhle. It’s nice and small and has beautiful tanned pages that are still sturdy enough. And not too many pages so easy to fill up! Good analysis, wowza! I feel like I should send you a refrigerator (is that a typical prize where you live as well or is it something Dutch? 😁)
