@@khajiitimanus7432 "Or, maybe, Gwyn had remarried like Zeus in Greek Mythology, and liked them big for a time." - isn't Gwyn her father?
@@khajiitimanus7432 Don't you ever find it odd that the sizes of humans and giants very often mix in the Dark Souls universe? Like, the silver knights are abnormally large, and so are the Channelers, Smough, and the queen in DS2. All immense. And all human. Humanity was shoveled as a concept in DS3 for design reasons, but the series very much love to depict the giants as a different, naiver kind of hollow. But you'd assume that, before having assholes for faces they were perfectly humanoid. I think there is something we haven't found yet, that throws light on these differences. Also, there is the fact that, just like in Demons Souls, people project their demonic Selves, which means that they all are different extrapolations of their original selves. In that, size varies too.
@@khajiitimanus7432 Gigantism is an enigmatic aspect of the series overall, at least to me. I've played all souls series games. That is because tallness is associated with power, as many of the bosses show. Yhorm is pretty much the only giant whose face appears in-game. Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 all very clearly show that the giants purposely covered their faces. Whether because it was their will, or because they were despised in appearance. The precursor to Yhorm in Demon's Souls is shown to have a mouth and nose as well. But still, they are not interactive as human npcs are. The exception here is Hawkeye, but he too never shows his face. Also, in Demon's Souls, the broken archstone is the one that leads to the land of the giants. From the very beginning, the Souls series put the giants in a reclusive position, either servile or malicious, and formerly glorious (Old hero and Yhorm). Those two, along with the foreign conquering giants of DS2, show something strange: civilized, powerful beings end up in an inferior situation and subordinated to the old gods, wich are the core of royalty.
Actually, if the Old hero and Yhorm end up fighting against the chosen one, they are directly fighting against the divine royalty.
@@khajiitimanus7432 Considering that DS3 is pretty much a decaied version of a recurringly, cyclically decaying world, being undead and unkindled are pretty much the same thing, except that the unkindled do not rot or putrefate. Likely because of technical choices in development, as the players were probably tired of playing as chunks of dried meat unless when using humanity. They are just victims of a curse that is not really thereto benefit the old gods, but they have found a way to manipulate it in their favour. For a while. All in all, the old gods perished as humans did. Divinity is not immortality in Dark Souls, except for the Abyssal deities, and you are just a match waiting to burn.
Depth perception is weird. I would have never thought that Four Kings are taller than Kalameet
