To Make Karela Pyaz Sabzi
Bitter Gourd - 2 Nos
Oil - 4 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
Onion - 4 Nos
Salt - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
Amchur Powder - 2 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
Jaggery - 2 Tsp
Method:
1. Wash and cut the bittergourds into slices of medium thickness.
2. Remove the seeds in the middle and then rub the salt on the slices thoroughly.
3. Let the bittergourd slices sit aside for about 10 mins.
4. After 10 mins, wash the slices with fresh water to remove the salt content and strain them. Keep them aside.
5. Take a wide pan and add oil to it. Add in cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds.
6. Add thinly sliced onions and saute for about 3 mins.
7. Then add in the bittergourd slices, mix well with onions and saute for about 10 mins.
8. Add in salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, mix well and stir fry the sabzi for 5 mins.
9. Lastly add garam masala powder, jaggery powder and give it all a quick mix.
10. Saute for a few seconds and then turn off the stove.
11. Garnish with some chopped coriander and serve the Karela Pyaz Sabzi hot and nice with some roti or rice.
Karela/Bittergourd is a vegetable that is hated by many due to its bitterness. But facts being facts, this is a vegetable that provides many health benefits when consumed regularly. So taking karela in one form or the other is really important for us to be healthy. This is a video wherein a simple yet very tasty sabzi is made with bittergourd and onions. This is a stir fry recipe and this can be enjoyed with roti or even plain rice. Do give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you guys!

Never wash the vegetables after chopping. Add more tanginess, jaggery and spice to remove bitterness. It tastes much better

No dont add sugar just add salt that's enough
