What a big difference when it comes to service, first of all you have a council jobs worth trying to assert his authority on to people. Then you go into another building and you are greeted by a lovely lady who no doubt is a volunteer and treated a whole lot better.

Southend-on-sea council charge a small FORTUNE for filming on their property. You also need to apply a minimum of 5 working days beforehand. However, from the council's own website: Fees do not apply to individuals filming for their own personal use.
@@imhemaster It is personal use. AB is not under any contract to product the video for someone, he makes it on his own free choice. Money from UA-cam is for allowing adverts to appear on any video on his channel. No advertiser is sponsoring or asking for a particular video to be made as a condition of the payment. He will need to declare his earning from UA-cam as part of his self-assessment, but the money earned has no bearing on being a business.
The nice, beautiful, history filled lady was absolutely wonderful! I think the back part of the museum was her favorite! Loved the wonderful way you gave her respect! ❤️

I went to a Lusitania museum in Ireland in 2015 for the centenary of the sinking in 1915. A lady told me that i couldn't take pictures but when the person who came with me told them that a relative of mine had died on the ship, i was treated like royalty and told i could take as many photos as i liked!!
I don't know how rules are for public servants, but I would have tipped her. That's what you do when you get good service. In this case, tipping her and not the others, could have been a way to show what attitude is prefered. Customer service, when it is good customer service, is something to value.
14:30 You would think a dusty old museum with no one in it would welcome the publicity of people posting pictures and video. It might be their rule but it makes no sense.

I think it's a grey area as he's clearly monetising the content he is recording.
That is there policy, but if its council property that's public property as the public pay for it, therefore you can record it.
