Paint rubbing between the articulation joints does not bother me, so im surprised its a problem. Their new raptors are way better now, very improved 😊
It can be annoying and dis encourage the point of having an articulated figure, though yea it's basically to be expected
From tight joints to paint scratching, boy these figures got issues to the point that even the male V-Rex's jaw dropped of what's going on.
I honestly have no idea what’s he doing. I’ve been playing with mine all day everyday and have no crazy paint chipping. I did have loose joints but that was a easy fix with Kiki
@@alc4528it isn’t just him. My JP3 raptors have the same issue. And I barely moved them before selling them off.
@@alc4528 That's awesome. I mean STR isn't moving the V-Rex in a violent matter more like your usual collector would move it just to make sure the joints move freely.

It's large and nicely detailed, but yeah, it's easy to tell it's their first time doing articulated figures.
I guess I got lucky with mine being so solid. no scratching, solid joints for the most part, and it's able to stand on it's own.
Same thing with both of mine. After seeing STRs short and unboxing I messed with mine both times and do not have the same problems at all. They stand and have no chipping or scratches. I honestly didn't even have them displayed before this but seeing how good they looked not needing stands, I just left them in the display lol I was going to wait until I had a proper Kong to go with them.
Im seeing a lot of cuts where they added joints but there isn’t much movement. I have the same issue with the raptors.
Btw the paint rub was noted on website as a warning to be expected.

I showed this is objectively, beyond any doubt, not true.
I noticed the same issues with the new raptors they just released. It seems like they changed some of the material. It's sad because I had no paint chipping on the JP3 raptors from last year.

Weird, I have their JP3 Raptors and they don't seem to have the same rub issues and I've been messing with them semi-regularly. Wonder what happened when they designed these?
I have the JP3 raptors and the new JP1/TLW raptors. I noticed the material is a lot tougherand thick where as the figures from last year had softer action figure like material. I think that as a result it leaves the new figures more vulnerable to paint defects.
for anyone with tight joints in general for figures i recommend you use silicone grease, just a dab of it and your problems should ease up. I used it after my 1st form cell figuarts had super tight legs and i broke em, ever since? used silicone grease for overly tight joint figures
@@DeviTLR silicon shock oil is a good lubricant for tight joints too and comes in different weights

I really don’t get how toy companies can still engineer their figures like this nowadays.
If this figure was like $30-$40 I’d have no complaints. But for $90 this should’ve had some additional spacing between the sculpt and the joint so that contact shouldn’t be happening.
I don’t hate this figure, I like the sculpt and it’s cool to get a V.rex figure that scales with the Hiya (GvK/GxK) Kong and the SHMA 2005 Kong. But for $90 it’s kind of a let down.
And you touched on a lot of the stuff. This is the unboxing, not the review, so I didn't even go into the price versus what you get versus the scale of these versus anything else. What sucks is aside from I think maybe the neca King kong, there isn't another action figure of the big guy that the scale with. I totally get different companies, different scales or whatever you want to try to cope with, but that is an absolutely awful let down here. And trust me, I'm coping with everybody else. Such a disappointment. However, it doesn't mean these aren't fun to handle and mess around with LOL
Bruh trust me this thing is amazing, plus I don’t think you understand the pricing. Hammond collection, neca, hiya, and super 7 are cheaper because these are massive companies mass producing them. This is a 3rd party company bearing the brunt of production and not creating nearly as many units so it’s a smaller production run. It’s actually pretty fairly priced when the beasts of the Mesozoic allosaurus is 120 and dasplaetosaurus is 140.
@@alc4528 bruh trust, we're having a discussion about what was shown in the video.
I got the normal blue one and it is fine except the jaw. When I took it out the box the right side of the upper jaw was slightly concaved and the lower jaw couldn't close because of it. I heated the jaw up and closed the mouth and put some rubber bands around it to keep it shut in hoping the jaw would hold shape but it doesn't. I would say over the course of 2-3 days the jaw would slowly concave back to how it was when I opened it. It is annoying because I cant display it with its mouth open but other than that I love the figure.
i think the paint chipping is due to the lack of paint sealer which is funny cuz even smaller companies use paint sealer
PS: i'm not sure if this is a big company just an asumption it is

Well, I'll say this: its not that bad. I mean, it's bad for a display piece, but is there really an alternative? It should be the 20th anniversary of Peter Jackson's King Kong, but has Universal said a word about it? As of right now, this movie isn't going to have anything new coming out, so unfortunately until Universal sees the potential this has, this is all we've got.

Do we know if these issues are present in the JP dinos?
From personal experience, I had 2 of each JP3 raptors they released and even then all 4 had minor QC issues. Same story for their Carnotaurus. Jaws not installed correctly, sometimes glued misaligned. Chipping at each joint (normal according to their site), and very limited ankle articulation. The New ones are much better.
Okay guys I’m going to be trying to spread this message around. But we need a action figure of Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate, the only ones we have gotten are a chibi figure and a figure by revoltech that’s so old and expensive now that you would need to sell your family to the black market in order to get one; let alone if you can even find a place that has one. So I would like to ask for us all to come together a spread this message and hopefully if it gets wide spread enough, SHF or Figma or someone will make an Alucard figure and possibly a hellsing ultimate figure line. Will this work? I doubt it. But I’m willing to try. So please I ask for all of your help to spread this message around so that one day all us hellsing fans can finally be set fourth “On A Moon Lit Walk”

Nah trust me it’s worth it. I’ve been playing with mine forever now and have no real paint chipping besides the abdomen. I had some looseness but that was easily fixed with Kiki. I absolutely love mine.

Yeah I have 1 scratch on the abdomen where the ab crunch is and I think on the “oseoderm”. I don’t know what you’re doing to have scratches galore, seriously I’ve been playing it this whole time.
