Fun alternative. Heat the water to around 120F with the ingredients (minus the lemon peel because it will turn too bitter). Pour them all and the water HOT into a jar and cover with plastic wrap or loose lid until it cools on the counter. Refrigerate and enjoy The heat imparts more flavor by drawing out the nutrients and oils faster and helps retard mold growth.
