sorry for the bad quality video, but since there were no versions of it online, decided to upload this.
all rights go to Fox and "Rodgers and Hammerstein" - Фільми й анімація
Talk about someone being born to entertain. Ann-Margret had it all from day one.
Yup, Ann Margret is the total package.
Ann Margret had the "IT" Factor to be a success in HOLLYWOOD!
STUNNING IN EVERY WAY IN ALL WAYS!
I was 14 when I went to see Pat Boone in State Fair and that was when I first saw Ann-Margret. I was mesmerized by her. I am 70 now and am still a big fan of hers. I met her in person twice. She is so nice and gracious. Very friendly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ANN~MARGRET so beautiful and what a dancer , singer AND great actress ! Lucky to have seen her in Las Vegas @ the Hilton and Cesars Palace ~ THE BEST EVER ❤️💎❤️
Ann-Margret's screen presence is ravishing.
No body makes the screen sizzle like Ann-Margret
Nice to see all the love for A-M here. Altho' I saw this before "Bye Bye Birdie" and liked Ann-Margret in it, it was in "Birdie"
that I really fell for her. Have watched most of her movies ever since, and always enjoy her.
Ann-Margret walks off with the movie lock, stock and barrel with this number.
This has to be one of the best dance scenes Ann-Margret did she is so awesome :)
saw State Fair on tv as a kid - Ann-Margret was my first crush. man! I had it B-A-D for the lady. finally understood what 'the talk' my dad had had with me a few months earlier was all about (lol). couple weeks later saw Bye Bye Birdie on late night tv. now THAT Lotta Livin' number drove me mucho nuts. literally. thanks for posting this.
I will never forget this number in "State Fair". Ann-Margret is an incredibly talented performer. I saw her in Branson 3 times about 8 years ago, and she was still beautiful and an awesome performer. She could do it all!
I love Ann-Margaret! I love everything she did before this and after.
Totally Awesome entertainment. Ann-Margaret is dazzling. She can make anyone's jaw drop.
Hermosa como siempre la Bella Ann Margret.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They don't grow 'em like Ann-Margaret anymore.
Love Ann Margret
Raw Talent from Sweden
Love Ann Margret! The State Fair Is A Good Movie... From What I Can Remember. ;)
She truly was amazing!
Daegdon definitely still is
I have this movie and watch it several times at this time of the year.
Pat Boone didn't need to act too much playing the naive farm boy in trance watching Ann-Margret dance. The part where she sheds from childish dress to hot skimpy costume makes me laugh when Pat Boone's jaw drops.
Ann margret bellisima dama.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I know that State Fair is pretty lame, but that was the fault of the storyline. It showcases some of the best work Bobby Darin and Pat Boone did and Ann-Margret only has to walk on stage and I,m glued to my chairr.she is so lovely.
And this entire elaborate production occurred in an outdoor amphitheater at a state fair - yeah, sure.
Talento. Todo lo hace bien!!!
Love this movie so much!
I had a sister who was a extra in this movie and remember my parents taking me to watch some of the filming from afar. It was actually filmed during the State Fair Of Texas in October of 1961 and released the following year and I was only 6 years old and I also remember seeing Bobby Darin during a break in filming but I wanted to see Ms Ann Margaret yet to no avail. 60 years old now and just got home a few hours ago from our great state fair.
Thank you for sharing that story
Yes, thank you for sharing. I was 1 year old when this movie was made. I am 59 and simply love the actresses and actors in this movie. 🎥🎥🎥 2019
I'm the same age as you. My mom was a Pat Boone fan, so we went to the theater to see the film. Ann was my first crush, at the ripe old age of 6!
I'm from Dallas. I was one month old in October, 1961. I enjoy this movie and our great state fair.
I played emily in a production of State fair. The directors made the dance for "Isn't it kinda Fun" really close to this 1. It's a lot harder than it looks
The "musical" is a crime against serious music. That said, this is excellent music.
Thanks for sharing this. I'd been looking for it for a while!
I like Ann M but the 1945 version is sooo much better
I love her.
thank you for uploading!!!
Dancers LIVE LONGER
@mzfiesty2 you're welcome :) glad you enjoy it
We were getting rich, and chasing a shiny new American Dream. It was like heaven. Everyone got in the back seat on Saturday night and to church on Sunday, and it was all okay. It was too good.
you're so welcome ;) she's priceless through and through hehe
80 no way!
Marvin Lee Aday, also known as "Meat Loaf," debuted in this film as an extra.
Do you know at what part of the film he is in?
@@honeyhope5169 See: ua-cam.com/video/l74HvoDD3WA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=KM and go to 1:20:49. Marvin appears for three seconds, standing between two other actors, one of whom pats him on the back. Pat Boone (in the pink shirt) pauses in font of him while ascending the steps.
but the point of movie-remakes is just that...re-make it...either better or worse, that's for the fans to say, in my opinion. the "campy" remarke may be true but it makes me love it even more :)
A-M was the ONLY good thing about this remake so the fact that they spotlighted her was in their best interest.
You too Roger your toast!
I've never liked her singing voice, but Ann-Margret’s dance is the only memorable scene from this antique movie.
@phillymrsandmr You're right, one of the finnest movies i'm proud of having on my shelf hehe i'm happy that you enjoy it as much as i do :)
People always say that tha 1945 version was better but that's what they always say about the first version of every Movie, anyway. Actually this was a great movie with some great stars in it. oh by the way I'm a little prejudice because I live in Dallas, haha! Anyway it's hard to beat Ann-Margret, she's been called the female Elvis Presley!😳
It was so different from the 1945 film version
Maybe you'll never be the love of my life,
Maybe I'm not the boy of you dreams,
But isn't it kinda fun to look in each others eyes,
Swapping romantic gleams!
Maybe you're not the girl to have and to hold,
Maybe I'm not a boy who would stay,
But isn't it kinda fun carousing around the town
Dancing the night away!
Isn't it kinda fun holding hands,
According to a sweet and corny custom.
Isn't it kinda fun makin' vows,
Admitting that we both intend to bust 'em!
Maybe we're out for laughs, a girl and a boy
Kiddin' across a table for two!
But haven't you got a hunch that this is the real McCoy,
And all the things we tell each other are true?
Oh, isn't it kinda fun holding hands,
According to a sweet and corny custom.
What a FAR cry from the original STATE FAIR in 1933 with the one and only Will Rogers! That one was closer to THE GRAPES OF WRATH(before the dust bowl)than this1962 hyper-post-war-prosperity version. You expect an astronaut to drop into this one.
Rodgers and Hammerstein sweetened things up a lot in all their musicals. I was charmed by the film version of "South Pacific", so I read Michener's book "Tales of the S.P." -- much rawer and true-to-life, more memorable than the musical. Unsurprising, but these kinds of musicals were hugely successful in their time, of course.
Che schianto di donna! Che stanga!!!
20th Century Fox was hoping Ann would replace Marlyn Monroe. Well, No-one could but Ann-Margret's rendition of this number is 'bout the only thing worth watching in that whole dreary flix. Ann sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy the NEXT year after Marilyn---Jack didn't get any of that!.
I had male dancer friends who worked with Ann-Margret. They said , "She was no Cid Cerise but some of the best Body Language in the Business". Try even watching anyone else when she's performing!
How did this scene find its way into State Fair?
A NN margrett hi
Was Rodgers happy with this wholesome song being turned into her lively nightclub rendition? Darryl Zanuck, the sub producers and Jose Ferrer made the decision because TCF had the rights to the 1945 version.
Before her almost fatal fall and Plastic Surgeries
Lovely figure, lovely legs. Too bad Hollywood did not provide with better scripts.
The guy that Bill Lee dubbed looks like Randy Quaid from Kingpin.
CAROLYN
Where can I find the car racing scene from this movie?
Hi everybody! Does anyone have this film? I'm a film collector and I'd like to have it in my collection, but I couldn't find it anywhere! Please, try to help me on this! I need it urgently because a 80 year old friend of mine wants me to translate the subtitles into Portuguese so he'll be able to watch it (I live in Brazil). He's a huge fan of Pat Boone and Ann-Margret and he never could watch it because this film has never been released in Brazil. If somebody could help me, I'd appreciate a lot! Thanks!
Daniel Slon buy the double disc version of the 1945 film. This 1962 version is the bonus disc. Then you will have both versions!
the 1945 SFis soo much better!
4 u... :-)♥
I don’t remember this movie version!
I want to play Bioshock now! In side the city of Rapture shooting splices..
That's why Swedish chicks are cool.
this one not as good as the 1945 one
Ну вот и настал её час, скакать, что то орать, и распространять таких же.
What did they do to this poor sweet song? LoL
This was my gay awakening
I give $1000 to be there live... whip the chit out of Pat Boone... sorry brother. Can't help it! I mean look at her!
God I hate this version
+Christopher Portillo Thank you for driving up the views.
So totally out of place for a state fair; if the fair was on Broadway it might have been okay
Ann-Margret is fascinating. the 1945 version is dreadful.
It always seemed to me she tried too hard to be a sex symbol. I liked her better when she got older.
Maryland, she is a sex symbol, she doesn't have to try at all.
I think this scene was ridiculous; ruined a great song
