Hyunjin was very sensitive from the beginning, but I remember he wasn’t as closed off as he is now. He was really bubbly, energetic, dramatic and many people loved him for it. Ever since his hiatus last year and how mean everyone was to him that’s when he started being closed off and more careful. I don’t blame him for it, I’m sure all the horrible treatment he got just made him cautious and didn’t want to get hurt again. I just feel really bad and every day I hope he can trust stays and start being himself again. He gets a lot of love from the members and stays and I hope this support system can help him. I feel like he’s slowly coming back, I just want him to know that we will all love Hyunjin for who he is.

Actually, he was already quiet before that, going back to 2020 and I believe it had to do more on the fact that he was technically becoming more popular that year than he did before. Probably trying to keep more of a proper, elegant "visual" image for the group. Obviously, last year affected him a lot and I don't want to set aside his pain during that time but I believe the moment he got out of the hiatus, he looked giggly and happy to finally be back for a couple of weeks and it made me happy cause I haven't seen him that happy since 2019. To this day, he still holds his 2018-2019 qualities like his funny sassy and dramatic side (not as extreme tho). I believe he kept more to himself back in 2020 and maybe this is just me cause I personally found it to be a huge change back then.
Actually not since the hiatus, he was more reserved since the end of 2019 and 2020 They had been going through a lot after Wj left. He's still has that dramatic side just not as much as the first 2 years
@@karol9560 Yeah you’re right, after the Woojin situation all of them were a little different, but I still think that the hiatus is a bigger reason for him being a little closed off now. Back in 2019, 2020 and 2021 he was a lot more open and he was always going out of his way to make people laugh and was outgoing and just being himself. Idk maybe it’s him growing older and become introverted over time
About Seungmin, I find it so ironic and very interesting that Stray Kids member and STAYs consider him like a cute fluffy puppy.. but I believe he is actually the strongest mentally and the toughest emotionally... the other members have said this too in one of the 2Kids Room episodes.
Yes! This is such an important point. Lee Know has said how much he admires that about Seungmin. Chan also once said in a magazine interview that Seungmin is soft on the outside but strong on the inside, while Lee Know is the opposite. It’s SO interesting and I love them both for those qualities
he is indeed very emotionally mature. the members have spoken up about Seungmin's ability to understand and perceive member's emotions and he knows how to react accordingly
That’s fascinating, I had that same gut feeling about Seungmin (and he’s picked up English so quickly!). I also think there is more to Felix than this innocent “angel” persona that everyone has of him
Lee Know is one of the most well-spoken one among them. He's just not good in English so he stays silent in those English interview. Most of them are more reserved in English interview, they're more energetic and more chaotic in Korean ones
i think this might be what's holding him back from speaking more english. i've met a lot of people who refrain from speaking a second language because they feel like they can't be as well spoken in it than in their mother tongue yet. even when they're quite good, they don't feel like it's good enough yet
@@chloehadjard for sure, he can understand but his pronunciation isn't clear enough, maybe that's why he's a bit shy. But his Japanese is very good instead, beside Chan, LK can speaks Japanese very well, the members even asked him for teaching them sometimes
Honestly with everything Hyunjin's been through, especially last year, I don't blame him for having a bit of a wall or being a bit closed off. The media has not been kind to him and it makes sense that he's a little more cautious about what he says and does. It's clear that he thinks carefully before speaking to avoid saying anything that could hurt anyone or be misinterpreted. As for Lee Know, I think his personality really shines in their Korean content. He's fun, witty and just so cool. He has a charming star quality that makes him so appealing. I like what you said about his mysteriousness and I definitely think he does it intentionally. He likes to keep stays on their toes and mess with us a little from time to time.
Lee Know is basically a cat! 🐈 Haha He is snuggly and sweet with the right people, in the right setting. But can be aloof and distant in situations that make him uncertain or where he feels he needs to be on alert. He's sassy and silly though with a heart of gold, this is why people (me) like him 😄
I just love the fact that I'm getting to watch all 8 of these young men grown and change into complex human beings. Han especially is someone that really interests me, since I feel like a lot of fans can just see him as the bubbly, loud, and funny guy of the group, when he's so much more than just that. Especially in this year, I've noticed how Han is taking on a more leadership role in the group when their leader Bang Chan isn't able to. This is really interesting to me because I thought for sure that Changbin or Lee Know would take on such a responsibility, since they're the oldest just after Chan. But instead, it's been Han who takes control of the situation when the need arises. Like in Stray Kid's newest Buzzfeed interview with the puppies, Han was basically leading the entire interview speaking mostly in English, while Bang Chan was busy playing with the puppies. Throughout my years of being a SKZ fan, I've come to realize how much growth and maturity Han has gone through within the last few years. Personally, I feel like he is the type to be perceived by everyone else as a goofy and fun-loving guy, and although he IS all of those things, I think he is also very emotionally intelligent, and is able to read-the-room quite well. Like, he understands when his help is needed, and he is comfortable in himself now to step up to the plate when he needs to lead SKZ. He is the type of guy who cracks jokes and seems aloof to a lot of things, but I think he's actually very perceptive and knowledgable when it comes to human emotions, but he masks that a lot with the laughs and the jokes and the making people happy. When deep down, he is very serious with his and others feelings and he doesn't play around when it comes to his emotional intelligence. All of the Stray Kids members are just so complex and it's fascinating to study their amazing personalities. ❤
Wow, you've described Han so well! All the guys are precious and all of them have seriously changed since their debut, but i agree that Hannie's one of the most interesting people to observe. He was the first person from skz whom Chan had met, and he also produces a lot of stuff for skz so he probably feels his responsibility even more than others. I like to watch him grow 😭❤️
I agree! I have also immediately thought of their anniversary live stream, when they were separated because some members had corona, and Chan was fighting against his bad internet connection, so Han moderated that live.
I think it’s really cool how peoples perceive themselves and other people, because I remember Han saying that depending on his mood he really struggles to read the room and other peoples emotions but then a lot of the time it seems like he’s great at doing that and taking charge when he needs to. Maybe this is also another sign of his growth and maturity

But he handles everything very gracefully. And yess, I love watching idols grow from young teenagers into fully-fledged, well-rounded adult men. I've seen it happen for so many years now, but it never fails to amaze me how much change they go through in just... 5 years. 💙

You would think that, because Han is an introvert/suffers from anxiety, he wouldn't be the one to step up to the plate when leadership is needed. But then here he is, leading all kinds of stuff, and proving the textbook 'introvert' wrong!! Also, I've noticed how in different Korean reality shows and interviews, Han has become an MC of sorts- like for Weekly Idol, Finding SKZ, and more. So proud of him and his growth and all of SKZ! 🤎

Seungmin always surprises me by just how much he cares about the members and the fans. He just has a special way about expressing it that is very subtle, and then when he puts it in words he does it very sincerely too. like you know he isnt lying or just saying rehearsed lines
Hyunjin has definitely become more reserved with his words in formal settings and I think that has made him a more emotional performer. I recently watched his dance performances and was overwhelmed by how affected I was by them. I've said this with other reactors as well but there are so many things I have only now been able to FULLY appreciate because of stray kids, in Hyunjin's case, dance. His Studio CHOOM performance in particular was so raw it felt like he was laying every last drop of his feelings and angst onto the floor. I feel like he's such an open book when he dances so much so that that it almost hurts, because you can see how all his hurt, insecurities, clapbacks are used to create such beautiful and almost delicate art. I think every inch of his personality is clear as day to see when he dances it's incredible. His dramatic nature, his gracefulness,his goofiness, the way he interprets things. Hyunjin's personality is clear as day when he's creating art.
I love it when you speak about Han. He is such a great person and sometimes he gets looked over by others, but I love how you really pay attention to his uniqueness and how wonderful he truly is. That man amazes me every day with his empathy and kindness but also his humor and wittiness. Thank you for loving Han~!
Seungmin is really interesting to observe and I think many Stays get him all wrong. Sadly, I've seen him described as boring more than once, when he is anything but. There is a certain aloofness to him for sure but the heart underneath it is golden and I'm glad he's showing it more. It's amazing to see him grow. Please please watch him more closely. I would really be interested to see what you observe.
I would never uderstand how people could think of him as boring he is such a fun guy, he is quirky, funny, sweet, kind and so much more. I still don't know them very well but you can clearly see how geniuine he is in his actions. He is literally a definition of golden retriver for me, cute happy pup that you just want to have around, and that comes from a person who doesn't like animals :P
@@assiunia199 He did use to be a bit more reserved before. There were always hints of crazy there (the "shoot me" dance and the amount of times he would get censored in their content... to name a few), but he has become more open with time. He is very genuine. For example, he doesn't say "I love you" to fans a lot. He said it for the first time when they won Kingdom last year. It hit that much harder because we all understood that he really means it and wouldn't say it lightly. Even recently, when he was asked what he thought about Case 143 when he first heard it and he said it was so-so. It was so funny and honest.
Seungmin's sense of humour is so interesting and his comedic persona really comes out given the right atmosphere not to forget how much intellectually and emotionally mature he is
The members have been through a lot and after such painful experiences, most of the members have changed. The ones who used to cry a lot, don't anymore. (Hyunjin, han) And the ones who used to rarely cry, cries now. (Seungmin, I.N, changbin). I really like watching you react to skz, because these youngsters are really something else.
As a Han stan, I'm completely on board with you in this one! Watching him be his natural charismatic self is so addicting, there is that superstardom quality there, and although a lot comes from him being a "gifted kid" you really can see that he learned how to carry himself over the years. This is partly why I like seeing people analyze him (and the other members as well, they've all grown in interesting ways); it's very inspiring. Also, you're so spot on with Lee Know's type of charm and I never even noticed!

Im glad you got to see seungmin's softer, more open side here! He does come across as a very no nonsense, straight laced kinda of person at first, but he really does have so many different facets of his personality that stay are lucky enough to see often. Like, he likes to say hes "the only normal one in skz" but hes also completely got a screw loose and does stuff so out of nowhere sometimes that even the other boys are like ??? 😂 I often see him off in his own world doing a little dance (seriously, hes grooving like 99% of the time) and i think its so funny. But also, because seungmin is not the kind of person to throw around sentimental words often, when he does express how he truly feels it hits SO much harder. I'll never forget when he said at a concert "I dont believe in forevers, but in this moment being with the members and stay..I want to believe in an eternity with you" like 😭😭😭 this kid has made me cry so much with his words, i love him dearly.
Oh, when he said that in concert...who talks like that outside of dramas? Yes, he can make us cry, but he can also make us (and the boys) scream in shock. Remember the towel thing during the fan meeting? Where did that come from?
One thing I love about this group and one thing that makes them so different is how close and open they are with each other. I think part of it is from everything that happened in the survival show but also because they really try to continuously strengthen the bond they already have. Hyunjin is a sensitive guy and I love that about him and many members have said that Seungmin is the one that understands what they need the most during a difficult time. So even though he’s a bit reserved he cares a lot more than people think…same with Lee Know. Hyunjin and Felix are both very close with stay and we love the group just as much ❤❤❤

A thought about your explanation of felix thinking about things with his feelings and the way that comes across when he talks...sometimes felix will start a sentence with no clue how it's going to end 😅 especially in his lives, its like we're both trying to figure out where the thought is going and it's so funny when you can see it on his face
From the beginning, Hyunjin always showed that he was very sensitive, that he had already been hurt a lot by trusting people too easily. I think that's why he seems to have a need to protect himself emotionally, and over time we've seen him become more introverted and we've seen him go through things that have definitely hurt him and contributed to that. At the same time he always showed a lot of love for Stays and that never changed, it only increased in fact. However, just as each member is different from each other, their ways of showing love to their fans are also different. From what I've seen following the group over time, Felix, Han and Hyunjin seem the most sensitive. I love your analyses, it's always very interesting to see your perspective on each member.
I personally love Jisung a lot, i love the way he is, personality wise and the way he thinks, you can feel the sencerity in his voice and when he talks about his feelings...he just brings me a lot of happiness with a smile, i have a soft spot for him.
I always love your explanations of how different SKZ members portray their emotions while speaking. Quick thing with Lee Know- during interviews especially English ones he is very quiet due to him not being confident in his English. though he has gotten so much better at it since he spoke English quite a bit during the us tour ending speeches. Maybe because I've been around for a while now, I've never ever thought Seungmin was uninterested or that he doesn't care. He cares almost too much. He's very serious about music. His humor is subtle, and I guess next to the other members who are very loud, people might not notice him as much. I think the reason why Lee Know and Seungmin got the nickname "divorced couple" is because they're similar. They have a certain quiet and savage humor, their dynamic with each other is not cutesy like with Felix or IN, it's two people who can give and take equally. I'm not saying this well, but anyway, Seungmin certainly cares a lot.
Yes! Lee know is so enduring because he's somewhat unpredictable. He has a personality that you never really know what he will do next but everything he does is just so "lee know." It's hard to explain but he's very magnetic. It's a shame he's so quiet in English interviews because he's the member who has done a lot of solo promotion on TV in korea. He's been on several programs (idol diction, a fishing show, a cooking show) and he's hosted a radio show with seungmin too. He's also currently an MC for Music Core, a weekly music program where idols perform. He's always booked an busy!
I like how you observed Seungmin. He is one of the strongest mentally in the group. His diligence to his craft is second to none. Sometimes, even coming home later than Bang Chan, which is just mind blowing! He is always very level and calm on most occasions but then he often has the members and fans laughing hysterically at the unexpected, out of left gear comments he makes. We as Stay know that if Seungmin starts to cry it’s all over because he holds himself so steady 95% of the time. He’s not as expressive as Han or Felix but when he gives you a compliment it really moves the members and Stay because you know he means it sincerely. ❤❤
Your analysis was nice to watch. They are the most genuine and real groups I have ever come across in 15 years of following kpop. And the love they have for each other is just beyond. They have all said at various times that basically the members are each other's safe place.
I am a bit sad there was nothing about Chan in this cut reaction because I was really looking forward to seeing what you would have to say about his answers and the way he spoke but that’s just me being a chan stan and noticing there was not one bit of him 😭 it is a great video though and i am so happy you are getting to see more of lee know! he is often times more withdrawn and silent in the english interview because of the language barrier but he is certainly unique. he is the most… teasing members of stray kids to stay i would say and it’s definitely like a cat and mouse game. but it’s all out of love and affection! hyunjin i think will surprise you a lot since you haven’t really seen his dramatic side yet! can’t wait for you to see that honestly!
I'm also waiting for him to talk more about Chan 😓 because his personality particularly puzzles me, I mean he may seem like just a friendly, sensitive and kind person (which I don't doubt he is) but I've also seen him be cold, calculating and a bit controlling or perfectionist when correcting members. I mean, he seems very sensitive to his surroundings ¿but his responses are totally calculated and he always seems calm internally? I personally do not understand this duality 🤔
@@mile.maciel520 Can I ask you since when you are a stay ? Just because I think we need to have seen the beginning of SKZ journey to understand they personalities. Chan never hides that he is a perfectionist when it comes to professional side, even the members said that when he is directing the recording session he is strict. But he was a lot more cold and strict at the very beginning of Stray Kids. I think the coldness you might have seen it comes from when he was a trainee. Maybe also the fact that he is the leader he always want to be reliable for the members that might be why. He said may times that he regrets to have been that strict with them. In my opinion Chan in interview depends on the subject but he doesn’t to be so open about his own emotions. But despite that he is the most open when he is on stage that’s why he gets so sensitive.
@@rachelszn5452 Maybe I'm just analyzing it too much, being my favorite along with Minho (this one for its simplicity and transparency) I will see it much much more, especially in the Skz Talker or Skz Kingdom BEHIN videos (where they are obviously in a work environment) but I still think it's more complex and intelligent than Stay can see. His speech at the concert in Seoul helped me understand him a bit more (because 😓 has always slyly avoided delving into it) and he said that he sees himself as someone without too many emotions, but at the same time he's very vulnerable there, so I'm more confused lol
@@rachelszn5452 I'm still a babyStay, less than a year ago I started digging into skz because of a random video I saw of Chan. I watched the survival show and everything related to the beginning of his debut, I understand what you are talking about, but I mean the present and the more subtle behavior of him, not the obvious actions. About that coldness and duality, although it seems very "sensitive" with the members or their environment, many times it has shown that knowing how they think, what they will say or do, and in the face of unforeseen events or questions, without reaction! !! That is, he will take it easy, even if he smiles or makes faces, his response is correct and immediate. That is why I think that most of his reactions or actions are due more to his intelligence than to the impact that it really caused him, in short, his sensitivity is very analytical for me.

My favorite communication expert (the only one I know actually hahah) I'm also glad you noticed Lee Know, he's just a big cat who needs to be confident to open up to new people. One insight I can talk about is with Lee Know and Hyunjin, I can relate a lot with them a lot as how they are quite similar in a way keeping their personal spaces, even though they love to be around the members. I think that comes from being grown up as an only child. The two have a interestingly comfortable chemistry together, and I totally get that. If you like Han, I recommend to watch ‘Limousine Service’ when Han was the guest recently. It’s an show with the singer Lee Mujin together, talking and singing. Seungmin was also on that show before, and it’s interesting to see the differences as well besides their vocal abilities.
Each one of them is so unique and special in their own way/on so many levels, put together they are amazing, fun, professional, authentic and unstoppable. They love each other and are there for each other no matter what, so proud of them and being a Stay ❤.

4:25 yeah I.N has spoken about how he knows himself and is content with who he is, it does show in his wishes that he isn’t as ambitious as others not to say he doesn’t have dreams but he likes to take things step by step well at least that’s what I have gathered from him.

When talking about the juxtaposition of Felix and Changbin describing the song, I really agree with what you are saying about their communication styles, but I think it could also have a bit to do with language fluency. Korean is a highly descriptive language, and so it makes sense that Felix relies on a lot of descriptive verbs, as it is a big part of the vocabulary you focus on when you are first learning the language. Whereas I feel like Changbin is able to describe things more conceptually and intellectually as he has a much higher register when it comes to Korean. That's just my two cents~

This is so true. I think what made me really connect to stray kids is how they are so vocal with what they feel, that they would not think twice to show to their fans their vulnerable side. They openly tell us what they feel and how they feel towards the other members. Sadly, that's what also what their antis are using against them which is really sad. But then I'm happy that skz is still the skz I know from before. They matured but they still continue to share things to fans whenever they feel and I will forever be grateful that they trust stays that much. I hope they would always feel safe to share things to us.

Lee Know is a Siamese cat, partial to a particular person. He is cat like in almost all aspects. As a cat lover I saw a lot of the similarities when I first got into SKZ back in 2017.

It's so funny when you say Hyunjin isnt very expressive because hes known to be very dramatic and him and Han are the drama queens. I myself relate to Hyunjin, maybe a lot of it being because we are both born on the same exact date(March 20 2000) so when you talk about him I get very intrigued. I would love to have you watch more in the future and hear more of your thoughts on him.
I think since hyunjin is comfortable with us (stay) and the members, his more dramatic and playful side shows. He's a introverted person who decides to not show emotion a lot of the time, but I'm glad the boys and stay can bring him out of his comfort zone. Sorry for the long rant 💀

hi max, I've been binge watching all of your stray kids videos without commenting and I just wanted to say that I love the way you react and explain each of the members, without being rude but still expressing your thoughts sincerely. I personally think you should watch their survival show, to me it would be very interesting, especially for chan's personality and mindset. seeing where it all started helped understand them more, but I'm no professional and I could obviously be missing a lot of stuff. for copyright reasons youtube would most likely block the heck out of the videos, so you can either post them on patreon or divide them in parts and post them on youtube. just if you want to, obviously. the show can get a bit dark but its so mind-blowing. sorry for possible grammar mistakes, I'm still not fluent in english😭😭

Hi Max, I usually like to watch the original video before checking out your breakdown for them - but I noticed you have the wrong link posted in the description box! Looks like it currently goes to a Louis interview from September.
Hyunjin was very sensitive from the beginning, but I remember he wasn’t as closed off as he is now. He was really bubbly, energetic, dramatic and many people loved him for it. Ever since his hiatus last year and how mean everyone was to him that’s when he started being closed off and more careful. I don’t blame him for it, I’m sure all the horrible treatment he got just made him cautious and didn’t want to get hurt again. I just feel really bad and every day I hope he can trust stays and start being himself again. He gets a lot of love from the members and stays and I hope this support system can help him. I feel like he’s slowly coming back, I just want him to know that we will all love Hyunjin for who he is.

Actually, he was already quiet before that, going back to 2020 and I believe it had to do more on the fact that he was technically becoming more popular that year than he did before. Probably trying to keep more of a proper, elegant "visual" image for the group. Obviously, last year affected him a lot and I don't want to set aside his pain during that time but I believe the moment he got out of the hiatus, he looked giggly and happy to finally be back for a couple of weeks and it made me happy cause I haven't seen him that happy since 2019. To this day, he still holds his 2018-2019 qualities like his funny sassy and dramatic side (not as extreme tho). I believe he kept more to himself back in 2020 and maybe this is just me cause I personally found it to be a huge change back then.

@@karol9560 Yeah you’re right, after the Woojin situation all of them were a little different, but I still think that the hiatus is a bigger reason for him being a little closed off now. Back in 2019, 2020 and 2021 he was a lot more open and he was always going out of his way to make people laugh and was outgoing and just being himself. Idk maybe it’s him growing older and become introverted over time

About Seungmin, I find it so ironic and very interesting that Stray Kids member and STAYs consider him like a cute fluffy puppy.. but I believe he is actually the strongest mentally and the toughest emotionally... the other members have said this too in one of the 2Kids Room episodes.
Yes! This is such an important point. Lee Know has said how much he admires that about Seungmin. Chan also once said in a magazine interview that Seungmin is soft on the outside but strong on the inside, while Lee Know is the opposite. It’s SO interesting and I love them both for those qualities
he is indeed very emotionally mature. the members have spoken up about Seungmin's ability to understand and perceive member's emotions and he knows how to react accordingly
That’s fascinating, I had that same gut feeling about Seungmin (and he’s picked up English so quickly!). I also think there is more to Felix than this innocent “angel” persona that everyone has of him

Lee Know is one of the most well-spoken one among them. He's just not good in English so he stays silent in those English interview. Most of them are more reserved in English interview, they're more energetic and more chaotic in Korean ones
i think this might be what's holding him back from speaking more english. i've met a lot of people who refrain from speaking a second language because they feel like they can't be as well spoken in it than in their mother tongue yet. even when they're quite good, they don't feel like it's good enough yet
@@chloehadjard for sure, he can understand but his pronunciation isn't clear enough, maybe that's why he's a bit shy. But his Japanese is very good instead, beside Chan, LK can speaks Japanese very well, the members even asked him for teaching them sometimes
Honestly with everything Hyunjin's been through, especially last year, I don't blame him for having a bit of a wall or being a bit closed off. The media has not been kind to him and it makes sense that he's a little more cautious about what he says and does. It's clear that he thinks carefully before speaking to avoid saying anything that could hurt anyone or be misinterpreted.
As for Lee Know, I think his personality really shines in their Korean content. He's fun, witty and just so cool. He has a charming star quality that makes him so appealing. I like what you said about his mysteriousness and I definitely think he does it intentionally. He likes to keep stays on their toes and mess with us a little from time to time.

Lee Know is basically a cat! 🐈 Haha He is snuggly and sweet with the right people, in the right setting. But can be aloof and distant in situations that make him uncertain or where he feels he needs to be on alert.
He's sassy and silly though with a heart of gold, this is why people (me) like him 😄

I just love the fact that I'm getting to watch all 8 of these young men grown and change into complex human beings. Han especially is someone that really interests me, since I feel like a lot of fans can just see him as the bubbly, loud, and funny guy of the group, when he's so much more than just that.
Especially in this year, I've noticed how Han is taking on a more leadership role in the group when their leader Bang Chan isn't able to. This is really interesting to me because I thought for sure that Changbin or Lee Know would take on such a responsibility, since they're the oldest just after Chan. But instead, it's been Han who takes control of the situation when the need arises.
Like in Stray Kid's newest Buzzfeed interview with the puppies, Han was basically leading the entire interview speaking mostly in English, while Bang Chan was busy playing with the puppies.
Throughout my years of being a SKZ fan, I've come to realize how much growth and maturity Han has gone through within the last few years. Personally, I feel like he is the type to be perceived by everyone else as a goofy and fun-loving guy, and although he IS all of those things, I think he is also very emotionally intelligent, and is able to read-the-room quite well. Like, he understands when his help is needed, and he is comfortable in himself now to step up to the plate when he needs to lead SKZ.
He is the type of guy who cracks jokes and seems aloof to a lot of things, but I think he's actually very perceptive and knowledgable when it comes to human emotions, but he masks that a lot with the laughs and the jokes and the making people happy. When deep down, he is very serious with his and others feelings and he doesn't play around when it comes to his emotional intelligence. All of the Stray Kids members are just so complex and it's fascinating to study their amazing personalities. ❤
Wow, you've described Han so well! All the guys are precious and all of them have seriously changed since their debut, but i agree that Hannie's one of the most interesting people to observe. He was the first person from skz whom Chan had met, and he also produces a lot of stuff for skz so he probably feels his responsibility even more than others. I like to watch him grow 😭❤️
I agree! I have also immediately thought of their anniversary live stream, when they were separated because some members had corona, and Chan was fighting against his bad internet connection, so Han moderated that live.
I think it’s really cool how peoples perceive themselves and other people, because I remember Han saying that depending on his mood he really struggles to read the room and other peoples emotions but then a lot of the time it seems like he’s great at doing that and taking charge when he needs to. Maybe this is also another sign of his growth and maturity

But he handles everything very gracefully. And yess, I love watching idols grow from young teenagers into fully-fledged, well-rounded adult men. I've seen it happen for so many years now, but it never fails to amaze me how much change they go through in just... 5 years. 💙

You would think that, because Han is an introvert/suffers from anxiety, he wouldn't be the one to step up to the plate when leadership is needed. But then here he is, leading all kinds of stuff, and proving the textbook 'introvert' wrong!! Also, I've noticed how in different Korean reality shows and interviews, Han has become an MC of sorts- like for Weekly Idol, Finding SKZ, and more. So proud of him and his growth and all of SKZ! 🤎

Seungmin always surprises me by just how much he cares about the members and the fans. He just has a special way about expressing it that is very subtle, and then when he puts it in words he does it very sincerely too. like you know he isnt lying or just saying rehearsed lines
Hyunjin has definitely become more reserved with his words in formal settings and I think that has made him a more emotional performer. I recently watched his dance performances and was overwhelmed by how affected I was by them. I've said this with other reactors as well but there are so many things I have only now been able to FULLY appreciate because of stray kids, in Hyunjin's case, dance. His Studio CHOOM performance in particular was so raw it felt like he was laying every last drop of his feelings and angst onto the floor. I feel like he's such an open book when he dances so much so that that it almost hurts, because you can see how all his hurt, insecurities, clapbacks are used to create such beautiful and almost delicate art. I think every inch of his personality is clear as day to see when he dances it's incredible. His dramatic nature, his gracefulness,his goofiness, the way he interprets things. Hyunjin's personality is clear as day when he's creating art.

I love it when you speak about Han. He is such a great person and sometimes he gets looked over by others, but I love how you really pay attention to his uniqueness and how wonderful he truly is. That man amazes me every day with his empathy and kindness but also his humor and wittiness. Thank you for loving Han~!
Seungmin is really interesting to observe and I think many Stays get him all wrong. Sadly, I've seen him described as boring more than once, when he is anything but. There is a certain aloofness to him for sure but the heart underneath it is golden and I'm glad he's showing it more. It's amazing to see him grow.
Please please watch him more closely. I would really be interested to see what you observe.

I would never uderstand how people could think of him as boring he is such a fun guy, he is quirky, funny, sweet, kind and so much more. I still don't know them very well but you can clearly see how geniuine he is in his actions. He is literally a definition of golden retriver for me, cute happy pup that you just want to have around, and that comes from a person who doesn't like animals :P
@@assiunia199 He did use to be a bit more reserved before. There were always hints of crazy there (the "shoot me" dance and the amount of times he would get censored in their content... to name a few), but he has become more open with time.
He is very genuine. For example, he doesn't say "I love you" to fans a lot. He said it for the first time when they won Kingdom last year. It hit that much harder because we all understood that he really means it and wouldn't say it lightly. Even recently, when he was asked what he thought about Case 143 when he first heard it and he said it was so-so. It was so funny and honest.
Seungmin's sense of humour is so interesting and his comedic persona really comes out given the right atmosphere not to forget how much intellectually and emotionally mature he is
The members have been through a lot and after such painful experiences, most of the members have changed. The ones who used to cry a lot, don't anymore. (Hyunjin, han) And the ones who used to rarely cry, cries now. (Seungmin, I.N, changbin). I really like watching you react to skz, because these youngsters are really something else.
Hyunjin still cries a lot. The members said it on the Mnet variety show. He just doesn't show stays that vulnerability anymore.
As a Han stan, I'm completely on board with you in this one! Watching him be his natural charismatic self is so addicting, there is that superstardom quality there, and although a lot comes from him being a "gifted kid" you really can see that he learned how to carry himself over the years. This is partly why I like seeing people analyze him (and the other members as well, they've all grown in interesting ways); it's very inspiring.
Also, you're so spot on with Lee Know's type of charm and I never even noticed!

Im glad you got to see seungmin's softer, more open side here! He does come across as a very no nonsense, straight laced kinda of person at first, but he really does have so many different facets of his personality that stay are lucky enough to see often. Like, he likes to say hes "the only normal one in skz" but hes also completely got a screw loose and does stuff so out of nowhere sometimes that even the other boys are like ??? 😂 I often see him off in his own world doing a little dance (seriously, hes grooving like 99% of the time) and i think its so funny.
But also, because seungmin is not the kind of person to throw around sentimental words often, when he does express how he truly feels it hits SO much harder. I'll never forget when he said at a concert "I dont believe in forevers, but in this moment being with the members and stay..I want to believe in an eternity with you" like 😭😭😭 this kid has made me cry so much with his words, i love him dearly.
Oh, when he said that in concert...who talks like that outside of dramas?

Seungmin sings with a lot of emotion. Whatever he does not say in speach he says in his songs. I absolutely love his covers and OST.
One thing I love about this group and one thing that makes them so different is how close and open they are with each other. I think part of it is from everything that happened in the survival show but also because they really try to continuously strengthen the bond they already have. Hyunjin is a sensitive guy and I love that about him and many members have said that Seungmin is the one that understands what they need the most during a difficult time. So even though he’s a bit reserved he cares a lot more than people think…same with Lee Know. Hyunjin and Felix are both very close with stay and we love the group just as much ❤❤❤

A thought about your explanation of felix thinking about things with his feelings and the way that comes across when he talks...sometimes felix will start a sentence with no clue how it's going to end 😅 especially in his lives, its like we're both trying to figure out where the thought is going and it's so funny when you can see it on his face

From the beginning, Hyunjin always showed that he was very sensitive, that he had already been hurt a lot by trusting people too easily. I think that's why he seems to have a need to protect himself emotionally, and over time we've seen him become more introverted and we've seen him go through things that have definitely hurt him and contributed to that. At the same time he always showed a lot of love for Stays and that never changed, it only increased in fact. However, just as each member is different from each other, their ways of showing love to their fans are also different. From what I've seen following the group over time, Felix, Han and Hyunjin seem the most sensitive.
I love your analyses, it's always very interesting to see your perspective on each member.
I personally love Jisung a lot, i love the way he is, personality wise and the way he thinks, you can feel the sencerity in his voice and when he talks about his feelings...he just brings me a lot of happiness with a smile, i have a soft spot for him.
I always love your explanations of how different SKZ members portray their emotions while speaking. Quick thing with Lee Know- during interviews especially English ones he is very quiet due to him not being confident in his English. though he has gotten so much better at it since he spoke English quite a bit during the us tour ending speeches. Maybe because I've been around for a while now, I've never ever thought Seungmin was uninterested or that he doesn't care. He cares almost too much. He's very serious about music. His humor is subtle, and I guess next to the other members who are very loud, people might not notice him as much. I think the reason why Lee Know and Seungmin got the nickname "divorced couple" is because they're similar. They have a certain quiet and savage humor, their dynamic with each other is not cutesy like with Felix or IN, it's two people who can give and take equally. I'm not saying this well, but anyway, Seungmin certainly cares a lot.
Yes! Lee know is so enduring because he's somewhat unpredictable. He has a personality that you never really know what he will do next but everything he does is just so "lee know." It's hard to explain but he's very magnetic.
It's a shame he's so quiet in English interviews because he's the member who has done a lot of solo promotion on TV in korea. He's been on several programs (idol diction, a fishing show, a cooking show) and he's hosted a radio show with seungmin too. He's also currently an MC for Music Core, a weekly music program where idols perform. He's always booked an busy!
I like how you observed Seungmin. He is one of the strongest mentally in the group. His diligence to his craft is second to none. Sometimes, even coming home later than Bang Chan, which is just mind blowing! He is always very level and calm on most occasions but then he often has the members and fans laughing hysterically at the unexpected, out of left gear comments he makes. We as Stay know that if Seungmin starts to cry it’s all over because he holds himself so steady 95% of the time. He’s not as expressive as Han or Felix but when he gives you a compliment it really moves the members and Stay because you know he means it sincerely. ❤❤
Your analysis was nice to watch. They are the most genuine and real groups I have ever come across in 15 years of following kpop. And the love they have for each other is just beyond. They have all said at various times that basically the members are each other's safe place.

it is a great video though and i am so happy you are getting to see more of lee know! he is often times more withdrawn and silent in the english interview because of the language barrier but he is certainly unique. he is the most… teasing members of stray kids to stay i would say and it’s definitely like a cat and mouse game. but it’s all out of love and affection!

I'm also waiting for him to talk more about Chan 😓 because his personality particularly puzzles me, I mean he may seem like just a friendly, sensitive and kind person (which I don't doubt he is) but I've also seen him be cold, calculating and a bit controlling or perfectionist when correcting members. I mean, he seems very sensitive to his surroundings ¿but his responses are totally calculated and he always seems calm internally? I personally do not understand this duality 🤔
@@mile.maciel520 Can I ask you since when you are a stay ? Just because I think we need to have seen the beginning of SKZ journey to understand they personalities. Chan never hides that he is a perfectionist when it comes to professional side, even the members said that when he is directing the recording session he is strict. But he was a lot more cold and strict at the very beginning of Stray Kids. I think the coldness you might have seen it comes from when he was a trainee. Maybe also the fact that he is the leader he always want to be reliable for the members that might be why. He said may times that he regrets to have been that strict with them. In my opinion Chan in interview depends on the subject but he doesn’t to be so open about his own emotions. But despite that he is the most open when he is on stage that’s why he gets so sensitive.
@@rachelszn5452 Maybe I'm just analyzing it too much, being my favorite along with Minho (this one for its simplicity and transparency) I will see it much much more, especially in the Skz Talker or Skz Kingdom BEHIN videos (where they are obviously in a work environment) but I still think it's more complex and intelligent than Stay can see. His speech at the concert in Seoul helped me understand him a bit more (because 😓 has always slyly avoided delving into it) and he said that he sees himself as someone without too many emotions, but at the same time he's very vulnerable there, so I'm more confused lol
@@rachelszn5452 I'm still a babyStay, less than a year ago I started digging into skz because of a random video I saw of Chan. I watched the survival show and everything related to the beginning of his debut, I understand what you are talking about, but I mean the present and the more subtle behavior of him, not the obvious actions. About that coldness and duality, although it seems very "sensitive" with the members or their environment, many times it has shown that knowing how they think, what they will say or do, and in the face of unforeseen events or questions, without reaction! !! That is, he will take it easy, even if he smiles or makes faces, his response is correct and immediate. That is why I think that most of his reactions or actions are due more to his intelligence than to the impact that it really caused him, in short, his sensitivity is very analytical for me.

It's a joy to hear skz talk about music and see their creative process. You may want to watch SKZ's guesting in KStar Next Door. It's a comedy variety show where Felix, Changbin and Lee Know appeared..it's refreshing to see them banter with the MC in a comedy show

One insight I can talk about is with Lee Know and Hyunjin, I can relate a lot with them a lot as how they are quite similar in a way keeping their personal spaces, even though they love to be around the members. I think that comes from being grown up as an only child. The two have a interestingly comfortable chemistry together, and I totally get that.
If you like Han, I recommend to watch ‘Limousine Service’ when Han was the guest recently. It’s an show with the singer Lee Mujin together, talking and singing. Seungmin was also on that show before, and it’s interesting to see the differences as well besides their vocal abilities.
Han is my ultimate bias and I really think he’s going to get the attention he deserves in this era 🤩🤩🤩 your observations are so satisfying ❤

4:25 yeah I.N has spoken about how he knows himself and is content with who he is, it does show in his wishes that he isn’t as ambitious as others not to say he doesn’t have dreams but he likes to take things step by step well at least that’s what I have gathered from him.

When talking about the juxtaposition of Felix and Changbin describing the song, I really agree with what you are saying about their communication styles, but I think it could also have a bit to do with language fluency. Korean is a highly descriptive language, and so it makes sense that Felix relies on a lot of descriptive verbs, as it is a big part of the vocabulary you focus on when you are first learning the language. Whereas I feel like Changbin is able to describe things more conceptually and intellectually as he has a much higher register when it comes to Korean.
That's just my two cents~

This is so true. I think what made me really connect to stray kids is how they are so vocal with what they feel, that they would not think twice to show to their fans their vulnerable side. They openly tell us what they feel and how they feel towards the other members. Sadly, that's what also what their antis are using against them which is really sad. But then I'm happy that skz is still the skz I know from before. They matured but they still continue to share things to fans whenever they feel and I will forever be grateful that they trust stays that much. I hope they would always feel safe to share things to us.

It's so funny when you say Hyunjin isnt very expressive because hes known to be very dramatic and him and Han are the drama queens. I myself relate to Hyunjin, maybe a lot of it being because we are both born on the same exact date(March 20 2000) so when you talk about him I get very intrigued. I would love to have you watch more in the future and hear more of your thoughts on him.

I think since hyunjin is comfortable with us (stay) and the members, his more dramatic and playful side shows. He's a introverted person who decides to not show emotion a lot of the time, but I'm glad the boys and stay can bring him out of his comfort zone. Sorry for the long rant 💀

hi max, I've been binge watching all of your stray kids videos without commenting and I just wanted to say that I love the way you react and explain each of the members, without being rude but still expressing your thoughts sincerely. I personally think you should watch their survival show, to me it would be very interesting, especially for chan's personality and mindset. seeing where it all started helped understand them more, but I'm no professional and I could obviously be missing a lot of stuff. for copyright reasons youtube would most likely block the heck out of the videos, so you can either post them on patreon or divide them in parts and post them on youtube. just if you want to, obviously. the show can get a bit dark but its so mind-blowing. sorry for possible grammar mistakes, I'm still not fluent in english😭😭
