@@MISCchout I can digitize that for you I have a nice cassette player I can run into an API preamp and get wave file or if you have the MP threes already converted I would love to get a copy
This band in the '70's or early '80's would have possibly been given a better record deal because in those days they would have been put on the road & given possibly more than 2 records to prove themselves. It's sad that Ryan was a victim of an industry that has gotten only worse from it's own shortsightedness. In the documentary "Accidents Waiting to Happen"you can tell how catastrophic it was to a sensitive artist that had his dreams smashed, was left holding the financial bag & having to declare bankruptcy at 25.The12RODS story is a cautionary tale for any artist trying to "make it".These days an artist hardly gets any royalties from recordings & must constantly tour to make a decent living but hey that's showbiz!😢
Yeah, Love your points. 12rods definitely didn’t tour too much and never really left MPLS. But hey, fame or not, doesn’t change the fact they have banger music.
Well tell step uncle Bill that he is a huge influence on me. I love his style of fender bass and I’ve tried to incorporate that into what I do. And you can tell em I’ll buy him a beer next time I’m in the twin cities. Last time was for the reunion show.
Will Baker His bassline on Teenage Fantasy is one that comes to mind. Fits the song perfectly. Plus the fact he was tight with both Chris McGuire and Dave King, two completely different styles.
They are going to 1st Ave on 1/16/15. Just bought tickets and came here to look for old live footage. This is the first I've seen without a drummer. Good Stuff - thanks for posting.
Daniel Hebner Sorry for my naivety, but what happened to him? Have gotten into 12 Rods in the last year or so and so am not well versed on their history, absolutely love their sound though.
JTWBat Well, to be honest, I haven't the slightest. Their second drummer (who was also great, though very different stylistically) was in multiple bands at the time of Lost Time. For all I know, the first simply left.
really wish an stereo version... thank you a million for this
@@victorkeller I still have the stereo cassette

wow... how awkward they seem without a drummer. but they pulled it off.
thank you MISCchout for archiving rare moments like these.
Really interesting hearing this version of one thing does not belong with a different set of lyrics. Shows just how new it was

Dh-1011 I will. Really cool to think someone I know has such an influence on people. He kinda inspired me to start a band.

Was it Christopher or dave? Wouldn’t be surprised for either, still. Glad to see they managed to improvise with some weird digital kit instead!
best band :)
So fucking nice music!
Wish they played something off gay
why only one channel, great show, but why is it in mono?
It was a simulcast. Mono TV signal, stereo radio. You were encouraged to listen via radio.
I have a tape of the radio broadcast
@@fortressofdesireanyway you could upload that tape?
Just paid £45 for Split Personalities on CD.
