I'm watching this good old favorite today, probably haven't seen it since, well, probably back when Blockbuster and Hollywood Video were around. Caddyshack always holds a special place in my heart for a 1980-81 youthful love story I'll SPARE UA-cam with. Actually I saw it for my first time in the summer of 81 on my new cabled TV on HBO in the comfort of my first apartment with my first major young 💘 which didn't take long to go 💔. Still it's all a good memory. 😌
@The Wraith Is that really how they censored it back then? I actually had it taped off of TV years and years ago, but I missed that change (if in fact, there was one) ...I could totally see that happening though.
george jones We renamed our town GOPHER HEIGHTS instead of Jackson Heights. It was thus named in honour of the Psdt Andrew Jackson in 1834. We are so proud to have renamed in honour of such a fluffy character
I could never distinguish whether he was saying "every day" or "never did" but the subtitles say every day so now I am content that is the right answer.
One of the best comedy movies about golf ⛳️ This movie reminds me of my work life as I work at a members only golf course. Also, my favourite Harold Ramis comedy
Whaaaaa? I have this downloaded and watch it just about once a week. My mental health depends on it. Of course between the two of us I don't know which of us is sadder. 😂😘🥰
MISS IT NOONAN! MISS IT! seriously seen this 100x One of my all time favs. This is how you do good trailers. back in the day they didnt show you all the best parts in the trailer. There's actually a huge difference in how they do it today
Caddyshack 1980 stands out as a delightful comedy from the 1980s, offering countless laughs throughout. Rodney Dangerfield shines brilliantly on the screen, his comedic prowess leaving a lasting impression. Additionally, witnessing a young Bill Murray's talent blossoming in his role adds to the film's charm and entertainment value.
It going and start now on AMC. I was born in 1980...40 years and still going strong..a classic..they don't make them like this anymore. ..I should of stayed home and played with myself.....
There were some GREAT movies to come out of the 80's. Survivors, Caddyshack, Porky's, Hollywood Knights, Police Academy, just to name a few. Come on guys.. what other great movies came out of the 80's? And they don't have to be comedies.
A whole lot man. Terminator. Die Hard. Predator. Top Gun. Star Wars (The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). Escape from New York. Midnight Run. The Blues Brothers. The Indiana Jones movies. RoboCop. Commando. Aliens. Mad Max 2 (a couple of Mad Max movies came out in the 80s I think). Lethal Weapon (1 and 2). Big Trouble in Little China. 48 Hrs. Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2. They Live (with Roddy Piper). Naked Gun. Cobra. Above the Law. Raw Deal. Red Heat. What else ? Red Dawn. First Blood, and also Rambo (First Blood Part 2 or whatever it was called). Rambo 3. Conan the Barbarian. Blade Runner. Das Boot. Bloodsport. American Ninja. Full Metal Jacket. Death Wish 2, 3, and 4. Scarface. Back to the Future. Sixteen Candles. Good Morning Vietnam. Rocky 3 and 4. Blind Fury. Over the Top. The Karate Kid, and two sequels. In terms of just comedy (alongside what you listed) there was, from what I can remember: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Airplane, Uncle Buck, Spinal Tap, Fletch, Twins, Raising Arizona, A Fish Called Wanda, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Stir Crazy. Honey I Shrunk the Kids. Goonies. National Lampoon's Vacation. Ghostbusters. Coming to America. Who Framed Roger Rabbit. That's all I can think of now, but yep, for sure the 80s had some awesome movies. (Some bad ones too of course). But lots of good ones as well.
@@jimreily7538 For animation, there is All Dogs go to Heaven, An American Tale, The Great Mouse Detective, Akira, The Transformers: The Movie, and my personal favorite from childhood-The Land Before Time.
Ted Knight and Michael o’keefe : totally overlooked - why doesn’t anyone talk about their contribution to this film which would be forgotten without them
"DAN INGRAM! " Many New Yorkers and others will recognize the voice-over of this trailer as being by the late and legendary 77 WABC Disc Jockey, Dan Ingram!.
why is this one of the best ever made? the decision to go off script and the the pros improv more than half of the entire movie. total pros show how its done.

Coincidently after "Oh! I think he's got a whole book of these innuendos. 2:09- That's the 50th one he's used in the trailer. There's almost as many explosions as there are puns. 2:26- I believe you wanted to say "balls." What, are you shy now? (With all seriousness, Caddyshack is my 2nd favorite comedy of 1980, behind Airplane!)
I bought one and tried it. It has fribroglass so when you open to put on fire the slivers will go into your hand. Make sure where thick gloves. The slivers are very hard to take out. Make sure you do not put it on your face or rub your eye. By the way I'm a physician

Happy 40th anniversary to “Caddyshack”!
There was no cocaine involved in harming these comedians.
The sale of cocaine between this movie and Animal House revived America's economy I heard
Back when movies made you feel good
To be honest I never watched this movie until today. I love it it was really really funny.

Great review!! I agree with you on what you said about Rodney Dangerfield. Also, Chevy Chase was great
Caddyshack is hilarious , whole cast was great especially Bill Murray , Rodney Dangerfield and Ted Knight.
This movie never gets old
I love this movie
I love it too! My favourite Harold Ramis movie along with National Lampoon’s Vacation & The Ice Harvest. Plus my favourite sports comedy
I’m alright by Kenny Loggins is one of the most underrated songs in history
One of the best song artists of the 1980s! A great decade for music
it s a classic
Kenny Loggins is the best, I love Danger Zone too
The greatest comedy of all time!!!

Rip Cindy
It’s sad that she died before New Year’s Eve like Tom Wilkinson
Great 80's film.
So funny, Rodney was funny.
So many scenes in the trailer that aren’t in the movie. The things I would do to see the original 4 hour cut of the movie
I laughed just about the whole time through this trailer!!! Quite the cast for sure!
I've never seen this. I'm definitely not a Chevy Chase fan, but I am a fan of all the other great actors, so maybe I'll finally check it out.
As a kid all I remember are the Billy Murry and the animal fight.
The comedy with balls.

The funniest movie of the 80's and I don't give a dam what they say.

Overshadowed by Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield, I guess.
Jim Reily - get out of this house! you’re wrong! Without Ted or Mike there is no Caddyshack, no legend. They owned the film
Michael O Keefe was the perfect actor for Danny Noonan. Super nice guy to this day
I think the real winner is the gopher 😂

'Animal House' or 'Caddyshack' ? Harold Ramis was a genius.
I would say both, but Animal House, easily

Harold Ramis also directed the original Ghostbusters, gotta also include that.

Old Hollywood narration over the new comedy vanguard.

This movie sucks! I didn't laugh once.
