By the way the story is ongoing in the anime and in manga, some people think that Aqua will not be having his love story since he's going on a dark path. But in my own opinion and understanding of the plot, this story is about how Aqua or Dr. Gorou manages to realize his true feelings about Ai, Sarina, Kana and Akane. Since, we have seen a glimpse of Dr. Gorou having a complex personality towards other people. Thus, the reason for him to only be open for Sarina. That after Sarina died (his most important friend), he subjected his attention to Ai Hoshino. Let us all be reminded that this is not just the story of Aqua and Ruby getting their revenge. IMHO, I feel like Akane might've known or suspected early on, if not rightaway, that Aqua is probably using her for manipulative means. However, the transparency he gave at the time regarding the relationship was something she accepted because of the gratitude towards Aqua for helping her through that hardship as well as some feeling of elation that someone recognizes her efforts and talent, romantic feelings aside.
That's no joke, I mean, she made her own ACCURATE assumptions of Ai of secretly having a child. How would she not see through his intentions if she's called a genius? That would only lead to the ignorance of her character background.
@@AliAlslaman if you want to see whether there’s a possibility to what you just said or not, I def recommend reading the manga! 😂 Edit: but if you already are then do please ignore what I just replied! xD
I’d think it’s the trauma, he’s known to be obsessive, and his old job exposed him to a ton which exaggerates that side of him with coping obsessions, he gos so far as to watch stuff in his patients rooms. Ai was someone he deeply cared for both as gorou as a 16 year old under his care, and as someone who was cared for and loved by Ai as her son, and then she got murdered, in front of him, it’s normal for his mind to go to dark places, and normal for him to also become extremely obsessive and suppress himself from his grief, I think it matches well with who gorou was, he never recounts losing his family once he’s reborn, perhaps he was already suppressing his loneliness and sorry through his formerly chirpy and goofy persona, and now that the stressor shifted his response did too, to cold, and calculated and driven by rage and vengeance. Man got murdered and then saw someone else get murdered in front of him, I’d definitely be bitter and cynical after that
Love the fact as a manga reader, this video both got it right and wrong in so many ways. Aqua my poor boy is being slandered so hard, when someone is doing much worst in the most selfish reasons.
@@Horde1Blades well first of all akane knows she is being used by aqua from the start since she is so smart, but even after she continues letting aqua use her for information which leads to aqua having kind of actual feelings for her and wanting to protect her (they get together for real) they look happy and all but then akane goes too far when she was the first one to find aqua's real dad and she tried to kill him herself so aqua doesn't need to proceed with his revenge, which ended up in aqua finding about that and stopping akane from hurting herself (because aqua's father is a murderer and very smart and akane would have probably died if she tried to kill him) ends up aqua breaking up with akane and pushing her aside so she doesn't get hurt
I’m really looking forward to seeing Akane’s role after the latest chapters. Although I like Kana more as a character, I don’t think Akane is inferior in any way, and her intelligence really brings more tension to Oshi no Ko. So far, Aqua has been a few steps ahead, but once Akane has all her cards on the table, I can’t wait to see if they’ll face off or work together.
Once she researches and has all the facts she then catches up to Aqua and in some case surpasses him with what's going on. Right now she's on the same page with Aqua in the current chapter.
Let’s be real, the ones fighting over Akane vs Kana for Aqua is basically a contest on which of their best girl gets the shortest end of the stick aka being with the vengeful edgelord who would use them with no hesitation, Aqua. Not really a good thing if you think about it.
Also an interesting point to note is that later in the story Aqua dumps Akane as a means to keep her safe, indicating that he may have developed some genuine feelings for her if he is willing to cut ties with her in spite of her usefulness to him in uncovering the identity of his father
I think if Aqua had a love fealing towards Akane, and if it worked out. It would flip the plot script. Especially as we know that Aqua has layers in his personality, sooner or later Akane would have found out whereabouts regarding Aqua's current main goal, and would try to stop him from avenging his mother.
I am late to this series. Having just finished the anime and starting to read the manga, but with all that research Akane did on Ai and basically knew just about everything about her. I thought Akane was gonna find out that Aqua and Ruby are Ai's kids, but again, I'm just starting the manga.
Eps. 8 and my brain is in a knot. If Aqua is only using Akane; why does he seem to always be there for her? The Ai persona is just too good to be nothing more than a way for Aqua to understand his mother. Can Akane be the love interest that saves Aqua.

Also i know this is fictional not real life but aka akasaka between this and kaguya wrights some of the most emotionaly real charchters iv seen in anime so i would not be surprised if he goes their
Lmao. More like he needs to justify controlling her. She knows too much. She might have worked, or already does work with his father, so he can’t afford to let her leak any of his information. Simultaneously she is an invaluable source of information herself on his father, and on Ai. Aqua isn’t really a bad person, he just needs to regain control of the situation. He refuses to lie to Akane, despite it being easier, telling her that he’s not interested in her romantically. He kissed her both as a job and to try to cement feelings for him. Unfortunately she’s going to try to save him by any means, even if she knows he’s manipulating her, she would let it happen so that she can repay the life-debt. He pulled her back from the edge, so she wants to pull him back from the edge. Aqua is now playing an extremely dangerous game. Both Aqua and Akane are going to get hurt. Not to mention what’s going on with Kana.
In my opinion Aqua, is still having PTSD and still cannot shake the feeling off. The feeling when he’s dead when he was a doctor and when born again as Ai’s child seeing his mother died in front of him lead to vengeance,a fallen star. Only vengeance make the traumatic Aqua be calm. but inside he is still fragile so he yearns to understand the feeling that like a light to him which is Ai that both is his light in past and present. but to be honest the story of Aqua ,to me, is a bit eccentric. there is no story telling about his past life as a doctor like why he is so obsessed to ai that much because of Sarina’s gone? what about his family in his past life. It make me watching this character feel shallowed.
She more like self centred and hypocrite consider she always think what she do is always right even though is morally wrong imo. Her Intentions it good but her actions is wrong. Maybe that’s because she had white knight syndrome in the first place after Aqua saves her from suicide and saves her career in Lovenow dating reality show arc.
@@alphaismywife6518 tbh I'm also sceptical if her intention of saving Aqua is her true feeling or not because influence of Ai emotion inside her. I mean she's a genius method actor and can perfectly immersed in the role that she play so what if she also basically influence by Ai feelings consider if you read chapter 96 when she investigating about Kamiki she said "the emotion of Ai that revived inside me are stirred up" that basically confirm her maternal obsession to protect Aqua.

I think it possible that aqua may need to play the role of a villain to defeat AI's killer you could argue he's already doing that how far is he willing to go to live up to that role and how long can he play that role before he's not playing a role anymore and he's just a villain.
i was very happy that Aqua didnt lie to Akane in her face, about his feelings, for me it's enough to not directly compare him to Light Yagami. And Akane 's smart enough to get that.
I feel like aqua hasn’t shown his true self after Ai died and put on a facade to keep everyone out since he doesn’t want most people involved with the dark truth of AI’s death and even those who he does want involved he doesn’t want them too deeply involved since it could get them into trouble
Great video. I don't think he is really using Akane. I think he cares about her. But he is focused on avenging his mother. Yet Akane channeling Ai might change things.
I can imagine that. Akane is the only person who might be able to see past Aqua's shell of lies, since she is so good at reading people. She seems like a good girl, but very insecure and emotionally vulnerable, moreso after he saved her. Plus, we haven't seen Ruby's side of the story darken as much. The author is just setting up the board right now with some interesting situations.
When you consider all of your cells have been replaced in 7 years, by the time he has grown, is it really fair to say he's an old man in a child's body anymore? Or is he a child with an old man's memories? With different hormonal changes going on in puberty, his usual thinking would have been impacted with that of a teen's impulses. He really is becoming closer to his age both physically and mentally, despite the older man's memories. In fact, perhaps his past life's memories are more like an outsider now than who he is now. Perhaps Aquas internal struggle and story, will be how he resolves his past life? Maybe he needs to let go, and just embrace being Aqua.

Now, imagine if Akane turns against Aqua...now we cooking!
Two smart people fighting always make things interesting.
Shit its so hard to not spoil 💀
i mean she knew that aqua didn't see her as a girl, so it's not a stretch to think that
@@AliAlslaman if you want to see whether there’s a possibility to what you just said or not, I def recommend reading the manga! 😂
Edit: but if you already are then do please ignore what I just replied! xD
Bro, this music. The intro part is from "Liar Game", the TV Drama. Great theme for talking about psychology and manipulation. You da GOAT!
I wonder how much of Aqua's personality is genetic from his biological father. His personality does not match the one from his previous life.
Man got murdered and then saw someone else get murdered in front of him, I’d definitely be bitter and cynical after that
Can we all just take time to appreicate the genius behind this anime? I grew up watching anime and this is by far the best one I've watched this year.
This is an extremely INTRICATE story...and it is opening like a blooming flower...I love this.
Aqua becoming more like his father, manipulative psychopath.
Ruby becoming more like her mother, probably dead soon xD
I'm pretty sure that Akane is going to sus out that Aqua and Ruby are the children that she surmised existed.
Aqua is complex protagonist just like Eren Yeager..Nobody does not have any idea what his true feelings about others.

Loved the video! I adore complex characters and Aqua is fitting that bill exceptionally! Can't wait to see more of his shcemes!

Love the fact as a manga reader, this video both got it right and wrong in so many ways.
Aqua my poor boy is being slandered so hard, when someone is doing much worst in the most selfish reasons.
tell me tell me tell me!
@@redmustangredmustang I think she will surpass Aqua, I think he's a bit too unstable and that puts him at a major disadvantage.

Bro provide a spoiler tag at least. But yes, I agree
I was reading the manga it gets darker from here and there’s going to be way more Aqua x Akane in the next Episode.
Not in next I think so it will going to be aqua x kana as far I remember
8:55 famous last words 😭😭😭🖐🏻
I think if Aqua had a love fealing towards Akane, and if it worked out. It would flip the plot script. Especially as we know that Aqua has layers in his personality, sooner or later Akane would have found out whereabouts regarding Aqua's current main goal, and would try to stop him from avenging his mother.
I too am concerned about Aqua hurting Akane; however, the fact that Aqua didn't lie gives me hope that Aqua won't use her in a way that hurts her.
Really gets you thinking about aqua doesn’t it 😱
Bro...
Thus far, it doesn’t seem like he actually cares for Akane in that way. It seems like Kana might fill that role instead.

Akane best girl
I would like a deep dive of the separation of the mind and body
It really reminded us that aqua is a very morally gray character sure he is a inanity good person the past few episode are proof of this but we also know threw canceling ruby's idol application and wail it did end well revealing akanes suaside to the public witch is pretty messed up to do without consent even if things ended up well but aqua is willing to do things that could harm people around him if it's for a greater good and emotions especially romantic ones aren't always easy to control and even if akane knows it's a work relationship between the kiss and everything eless aqua has done for her the longer there fake relationship lasts the more akanes feelings can grow and the more likely she is to be hurt by aqua being only in it for information especially with akane still being in a emotionally weakened state because what happened to her mental state just doesn't go away quickly.
The thumbnail caught me offguard 💀
It make me watching this character feel shallowed.
aqua is turning into Ayanokouji
Akane is beginning to show her Yandere side
Nah, she’s hardly a yandere. lol
@@kkurousagi she is complex character too. Although she has mild yandere side, she is pretty considerate
@@alficammy6159 read more. She is more mature after the break up.

My God you anime only watcher are in for it it's so hard not to (spoil)
Aqua: What kind of adults, if children got sacrificed?
Also Aqua: *lemme use you for something, Akane ._.*
Aqua is manipulative and dark at times. He does care about Kana and Akane but he will use them to achieve his goals.
Just want to know who tf is their father and why did he want Ai dead. Bro the girl barely even know the feeling of having a loving family and that fcker ruined everything. If akane can pinpoint who could be Ai love interest for aqua to have his revenge I'm all for it.
I think it possible that aqua may need to play the role of a villain to defeat AI's killer you could argue he's already doing that how far is he willing to go to live up to that role and how long can he play that role before he's not playing a role anymore and he's just a villain.
He will use her skill to make a profile the man who impregnated ai
i was very happy that Aqua didnt lie to Akane in her face, about his feelings, for me it's enough to not directly compare him to Light Yagami.
Manga readers unite!!!!😂🎉
Great video. I don't think he is really using Akane. I think he cares about her. But he is focused on avenging his mother. Yet Akane channeling Ai might change things.

I can imagine that. Akane is the only person who might be able to see past Aqua's shell of lies, since she is so good at reading people. She seems like a good girl, but very insecure and emotionally vulnerable, moreso after he saved her.
Plus, we haven't seen Ruby's side of the story darken as much. The author is just setting up the board right now with some interesting situations.
@@KaiserAfini yeah I’m totally agree with you. I think that the next chapter, we are going to know more about ruby
Not all of your cells are replaced only a lot. And even then the core of your personality your brain barely replaces at all.

Honestly, I think she needs to stop impersonate AI
She just acting like Ai just to mimic her charisma and presence consider Akane is a insecure, fragile and quiet person to begin with. It’s like producer Kaburagi said to Aqua in episode 9 celebrity always fake their charisma in front of their fan and Ai is one of example of it. That’s the meaning of the star eyes that they were just lying or pretending.
You have no idea how far Akane goes for Aqua. Let's just say she knows EVERYTHING.
i dont like akane im sorry. i wont explain why, and i cant even explain why i cant explain. maybe you will figure it out. i used to like akane but not anymore. i still think shes waifu material but i just cant. some of you may disagree and thats fine. but one day you will understand aswell.
Same I also used to like her character in early of manga but Kana and Ruby character grow on me consider both of them had the best character development compared to her imo
