Dear God, the two videos of the purchase and the conversion of Benny brought me to tears. The Vario is the best Mercedes ever built. His orange eyebrows are the cutest in the world. His engine is the strongest heart that keeps on giving. Many happy trips and keep us posted 💕💕💕

Dankeschön 😀. Wenn wir im Sommer (nach 1 Jahr auf Reisen) wieder zu Hause sind, machen wir mal ein Fazit Video über den Vario und den Ausbau. Nach 5 Jahren und 80t Reisekilometern kommt nämlich schon ein gewisser Renovations- bzw Upgrade Bedarf.

Hello, what is the consumption in Fuel ? Also what is your average speed ?
Hi, the diesel consumption is around 18 litres per 100km. The speed limit for trucks like ours is at 100km/h. Top speed of our vehicle is 120 km/h.

Hi. The manufacturer of our expedition vehicle is woelcke.de based on a Mercedes chassis. The habition box sits on a frame mounted with springs, so it has some torsion flexibility.
Hi you, I like bike and to tra le with it. I don’t understand to but a double cab and to get it short ! Have a nice trip. Mauro
A double cab makes sense if you travel with a family. Otherwise a single cab is more than ok (3 seats). But there are not so many good single cabs on the market. That was the reason that we bought a double cab and then shortened it.
Wow, sieht nach sehr viel Arbeit aus. Aber dann habt ihr dafür ein super Fahrzeug und quasi jede Schraube getauscht.
Danke, ja der Aufbau ist natürlich neu. Das Chassis hat auch erst 40'000km gelaufen, sollte also noch einige 100'000km halten :-)

Hoi, ich seh erst jetzt, ihr habt die geile DoKa weggeschnitten aaahhhhhhh das ist verrückt haha. Dabei sieht der Kübel so cool aus mit einer Doka, aber euer Ergebnis ist ja auch nicht schlecht hihi Grüess aus Luzern
Ja, wenn unsere Kinder noch mitfahren würden, hätten wir die Doka belassen. Aber für 2 Personen macht das wenig Sinn. Dafür lieber hinten ein anständig grosses Bad :-)).
ich hätte die allein wegen dem Style gelassen haha aber ein grosses Bad ist natürlich ein Argument :-P@@bennygoesoverland

It is a fiberglass sandwhich construction, with foam between the two fiberglass layers.

Tolles Fahrzeug. Ist das ein 814D Basisfahrzeug? Mich würde der Radstand interessieren. Sieht nach dem ganz langen Radstand aus. Oder ist es der mittlere?
