Great tips... I'm glad you didn't say snorkel because if you take your rig in water that deep to need a snorkel, you have probably ruined something or will soon.
I can't hold it in... I love the low key mullet. Id like to dub the hairstyle the Modern 🇦🇺 Australian Swayze.👧👍👏 Great info on the SUV as well.🚙 Subscribed.
He is rating what he thinks is most important for long term campers. If you don't camp much but love to get off road and take on the 4x4 tracks you can re-write that list. For off road fun you would go: 1) Recovery gear 2) Larger, mud terrain tyres 3) Bull bar 4) Snorkel 5) Suspension lift... and 6) CB radio.
yea and fun should include making use of traction not too fast and when you use torque and traction u dont need to spin the wheels gentlemen. yes muddy nobbly tyres with plenty of tread are better
Great advice. I'm about to get a secondhand Prado or SW, and I really wonder about forward-facing schnorkel inlets. What happens when rain or river-crossing splashes are driven into it. Water in diesel combustion chambers is a major problem. I mean wouldn't it be better to have a downward-facing U-bend inlet. I'd really appreciate your expert words on this.
What I did: 1- cold air intake 2- cat delete 3- bigger throttle body After this I decided to never go off road unless I upgrade the suspensions, because now I have a lot of extra power and was afraid of breaking something last time I went to the dunes. I was literally flying...
I assume that is an isolator at 2:30 ? If so, shouldn't it be higher up - further away from potential water damage? I've driven through streams where the water has come over the bonnet. Would that not be an issue for the isolator?
dirtrider88 - Because a snorkel should be on standard 🧐, That’s what every 4wder knows But the car makers are just engineers behind their office desk playing with numbers.
all i want is a bullbar and 2 fog lights nothing extra soo that means i only have to upgrade my suspensions right i need help if anyone knows about these stuffs plz help thanx👍
love the videos guys! im currently on your website but i cant find the ultimate wiring harness platform HUB. The module that allows you to plug all your electricals into? Cheers!
Word of warning to dual cab owners dont put all that gear on your ute your GVM will be blowin, i have a stx550 with ARB bullbar an rear bar, canopy, dual battery, set of BFG ko2,s old man emu heavy duty suspension and its 2850 kg with a tank of fuel and empty fridge driver only so as its good for 3100 GVM put camper or van on the back an your shot remember the car is still empty and they are all the same Ford,Holden,Mazda,Vdub,Nissan ect some worse than others the vehicle dealers an after market accessory suppliers should make you aware of this and thats why some wont even give you weights of there products its BEWARE
I would have thought that the bull bar would be item #1 on the list? All the other things you can live without. If you suffer a serious animal strike while driving in the outback your fancy duel battery system or off road tyres aren't going to do you much good!
Draws are great but you loose so much storage area for normal driving, IMO. That 200 has a massive boot and you'd be lucky to get 2 suitcases in there.
Easy to say - Hey basically you just have to spend the same amount you've just spent buying the vehicle. Lucky there are other suppliers as well. Really NOT a good add!! He basically tells you how horrible your vehicle is just to make money out of you.
avoid the mud especially big 4 wheels and big dirt bikes, because it damages and erodes the tracks and trails, and we need to lobby the authorities to seal the main 2wd trails that are nearer to the east coast the main ones should be bitumen, learn to slip the clutch for traction not spin drive wheels just to get through slippery mud spots make sure you have aggressive mudder tyres for this all the time but avoid the muddy spots as much as you can , and when you do need to dont spin the wheels instead keep the rev’s high by slipping the clutch
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I chose this company because it was a family owned local company and wanted to support local. Turned into the worst experience with a business I’ve ever had. 7 months and the work is still not complete. Company has admitted fault but doesn’t care because they have been paid. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Now I have to pay for someone else to finish the work I’ve already paid them to complete. DISGUSTING
The snorkel is a giant waste of money. Installing it permanently ruins your truck. Nobody actually fords water all the way up to the roof. And no, it’s not for dusty roads. Thanks.
1) Factory tyres are placed on factory 4wd's because they are sold globally and the tyres must be compliant from Arctic Norway to Saudi Arabia and from Sydney to Siberia. Factory fitted tyres usually have a softer compound and wear faster however they are great for stopping ability in less than favourable conditions. When the correct speed rating tyre is used, the aftermarket tyres are just as weak as the factory tyres. 2) This is the most annoying salesman I have ever heard.
I could probably buy three used Humvees, Use one for parts, and outfit the other two and still have less money in than a new Land Cruiser. No computers to go bad. Diesel, burns just about anything too. Enjoy Your Land Cruiser. Not everyone is able to throw that kinda money around.
phaggot depends on the generation of hunvee. The one that where made by amg didnt last too long. But the ones made my GM have a duramax diesel . easily get to 350k with basic maintenance
I always convert my center consul burger tray into a joint rolling factory. It’s the first and most
😂
1. Lightbar
2. Grill lightbar
3. Underglow lightbar
4. Rear facing lightbar
5. Backup (just in case) lightbar
6. Bro pull up to the meet looking sweet
Chocolate lightbar
Good to see WA Again!
thanks for the chance , really need this for our planned trip from Nt to the Kimberlys
Everywhere I've gone in the top end and red center I seen XF falcons on odd rims and tyres. Gotta be something in that I reckon.
Great tips... I'm glad you didn't say snorkel because if you take your rig in water that deep to need a snorkel, you have probably ruined something or will soon.
Wow thanks for the info. With my 4wd some of these things I didn't know.
I can't hold it in... I love the low key mullet. Id like to dub the hairstyle the Modern 🇦🇺 Australian Swayze.👧👍👏 Great info on the SUV as well.🚙 Subscribed.
Informative and after those radios for winter to contact my kids skiing. 4wd connection getting to snow.
Wow that was amazing car. Great video.

What about lockers? One of the most important things
yea and fun should include making use of traction not too fast and when you use torque and traction u dont need to spin the wheels gentlemen. yes muddy nobbly tyres with plenty of tread are better
Thanks for the chance at the hand held radios Shared and all ready subbed ..

Next will be headers, exhaust and tune.
What about most important safety feature thats breaking system?
No mention of GVM and whether it's exceeded with all these accessories.
Sick mullet bro hahaha
i have a lada niva '99 what do you mean electrical update?:)
TheDriver69 lmao....you ment a 72
It has electrics? I thought it ran on steam and candles?
So the bull bar fitted wouldn't protect the vehicle from the animal strike shown briefly onscreen
So I heard that for offroading, all you need is upgraded tires, suspension and a skid plate.
Nice Storage system!
I assume that is an isolator at 2:30 ? If so, shouldn't it be higher up - further away from potential water damage? I've driven through streams where the water has come over the bonnet. Would that not be an issue for the isolator?
Well put together.
Totally depends on what you want to use the car for.
good vid lots of good info👍
Nice video. Any idea how much would these cost as shown in this video? Thanks.
How bout telling us from where you got all these upgrades and links and prices.

Because a snorkel should be on standard 🧐,

if you add those things in the back of the trunk than you cant use the third row right ?
great info, well commented

You can use them for dusty roads one so you aren't getting dirt and dust in you engine and cooler air
