From worst to best: #5- Johtonian Mandibuzz, #4- Kantonian Porygon Z, #3- Unovan Falinks, #2- Kalosian Watchog, #1- Hoennian Florges. I especially like Florges' variant the best as I felt that it should have been a Fairy/Grass type to begin with since the first days of Pokemon X & Y; it has a beautiful design as a geisha wearing a kimono with a clump of black flowers or leaves as hair, and the way the leaves on the lower half act as the dress makes it look good. I would pick this form over the regular Florges if I have to. Kalosian Watchog now is a clever take on the Black Plague, though the rats didn't start out carrying the disease, rather it was the fleas they carried that were infected first and then they bit into the rats, leading the rats to die in great numbers, therefore leaving the fleas to spread out and find other warm bodies, provided they didn't die first. I've been struggling turning Sentret and Furret into regional variants for one of my regions, and I don't want to go the Dark route for them; instead giving them the Ground type (sort of as a nod to the anime where Misty said Furret was a Ground type when it actually wasn't).
How would you react if I could make up this Pokedex entry for Hoennian Florges? Florges, the Eternal Maiden Pokemon Type: Fairy/Grass This Pokemon was said to once be the same Eternal Flower Floette that King AZ of Kalos had in the ancient past. It constantly wandered all over the world to look for its long lost master who mysteriously vanished from the world without saying goodbye to his people and his beloved Eternal Flower who missed him so much.
@@beckhampang191You mean like Houndoom and Murkrow? Sorry if that sounds pedantic but they should 100% be considered as such and should have been in every Kanto remake.
Lugia needs a regional form that has dex entries praising it's psychic powers. Its typing is obviously the water type because it has psychic powers. Example: Unovan Lugia: The Psychic Pokemon Type: Water/Dragon It uses it's psychic powers to protect itself and those they want to protect. It said to rival the original dragon of Unova. It's clear psychic powers revales a critical error in the research community. It was discovered that scientists somehow mixed up the typings of it and Johtonian Lugia.
@@EdgarCastillo-c6j It also needs to look and be like another type if it's duel type. There are 16 other types we can have and I don't care as long as it makes sense.
Love a steel/fighting type for Pawniard and Bisharp, but maybe a branch regional evolution for third stage like a medieval Knight, or the whole design based on medieval knights tbh
These mons are so good looking! For Kalosian Watchog, I could also see it having an ability that turns Normal type moves into Poison type moves (called Intoxicate or something)
I’ve always wanted for Game Freak to revisit older regions just so they make regional variants and convergent Pokemon of that region. Here’s hoping for proper remakes for past games and that Legends ZA can deliver.
I feel like a non-glitchy Porygon Z would probably just be Porygon 3. I think your concept would be more fitting as a Regional Evolution than just a standard variant.
We will see (likely they will) if Legends Z-A has any regional forms. Likely they won't be called "Kalosian", but likely Lumiosian variants as the entire game is inside Lumios City.
9:30 Honestly i ADORE the fact you made Unovan Falinks based on football helmets, but that's actually a secondary reason, the main reason is how it retains but "remixes" the core premise of the original, as Falinks is based on Phalanx (a military formation first used by the ancient Roman armies in times of war and was a defensive formation if I'm remembering right) and what else is very formation based? Football. I'm not a sports person, particularly football, and live in the USA (im a disgrace, I know) so if I'm saying the football pokemon is fantastic. That's some good stuff there. Plus, JUST LOOK AT THOSE LITTLE GREMLINS, THEY SO DANG CUTE!
I'll also admit I paused to type this comment, so I'm just now hearing you bring up formations, so.... yeah, but honestly the fact you bring up the same reasons why these little beans are certified good boys, is justification as to why they are certified members of waddle Dee's good boy club.
I think mechanically, you should treat it like weezing. Have NPCs trade for foreign pokemon that then evolve into their variant forms later. That introduces new pokemon without upsetting the established pokedex.
The designs are all absolutely stellar! My only nitpick 😅, Watchog looks too much like it belongs in the Galarian Zigzagoon line now. Personally, I think Maushold would have been a bit more fitting. But that Mandibuzz needs to exist. 🤩
I only want a Kanto game set in the future ONLY for this reason. Kantonian forms for newer Pokemon. Letting Kanto evolve and change and become new would be so much better than another remake of gen 1 story.
On the point of the Porygon's Normal Type, I think that Normal in its case is really more of a, "Not a great fit for any other type" type like Tri Attack rather than a "plain, just look anywhere and you'll find one naturally occurring, no problem" type. Like obviously there's nothing "normal" about a literal god, yet Arceus is a Normal Type, lol.
As dumb as it sounds, i think Pokemon like Electabuzz, Magmar, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, etc. etc. Get Johto Regional Variants. Just as a nod to the fact they had Baby Pokemon introduced in that Region. They don't even need to be too different from the regular Kanto editions either, maybe just different markings and embelishment details. Hell maybe even Magmortar, and Electivire. E.g. maybe Pikachu's ear markings could change the Clone Pikachu's markings from the First Movie since in Pokemon Mewtwo Returns, it is revealed Mewtwo moved the Clones to Mount Kaina in Johto. It's not a massive change but noticeable if you paid attention to the First Movie. Or maybe the Horsea line or even Scyther could get Johto variants too, since they added Seadra and Scizor in Johto. No idea how they'd pull any of this off but it'd be cool.
While I appreciate Kantonian Porygon-Z's Normal/Psychic typing, the design itself seems a bit on the bland side, without much going for it to make it stand out. If I were redrawing it, I'd lean a bit more into conveying the Psychic type in its design. It's not a bad design in and of itself, it just feels a bit underwhelming for a final evolution. Johtonian Mandibuzz's armor looks less like bones and more like pieces of Golisopod's shell, which admittedly feels a bit off for a 'Johtonian' form. It's still cool, don't get me wrong, but it feels a bit weird. Hoennian Florges is a mood and I love her. That smug expression says that she knows she's gorgeous and she's also gonna kick your butt. (I do plan on eventually picking up a TCG pack, as I'm one of the ones who expressed discontent at the packs being limited to Narwade plush purchases, but I just got past the holiday season and my budget is kind of complaining, so it might be a while.) I can't look at Unovan Falinks without thinking of a group of disembodied Armarouge heads. This is not a bad thing, as Armarouge is awesome and so are Unovan Falinks. It's just a funny mental image. Kalosian Watchog, ngl, kinda creeps me out. Imagine having something like that run past you in a dark alleyway, and knowing that if it brushes up against you, you'll get the plague. No wonder Lumiose City is getting redeveloped.
I used to like these types of videos UNTIL the tera-leak happened and we found out that Fakemons (and it's is FAKE Mon and not FAKEY Mon like you keep saying) were too widespread and ended up overlaping with what Game Freak wanted to do and THAT was why we don't have a Flying type Eevee.
Lol another bold assumtion of "No one will choose thise pokemon" and this time it's Mandibuzz. For me personally I like Mandibuzz more than Unovan Braviary but not more than it's Hisuian counterpart.
Does it make anyone else mad how everyone just tries and adds "ian" to the end of regions to make it regional even tho most dont end in "ian" rather ending in "an" especially if it ends in a vowel Alohlan or Paldean so instead of Kantonian or Johtonian it would be Kantoan or Johtoan idk like the only one that adds "ian" is galarian😭😭

I would love the Psyduck line to get a regional variant where Psyduck and Golduck finally get the Psychic type
Oh my goodness, I know right. Like it's in the name PSYduck.
I mean it would likely be a downgrade but it's not like Golduck is ever going to be powerful or used over the other water/psychics anyways.
@@TerrickTerran It'd still be really sweet, it's just weird they've never received any love or anything.

Florges, the Eternal Maiden Pokemon
Type: Fairy/Grass
This Pokemon was said to once be the same Eternal Flower Floette that King AZ of Kalos had in the ancient past. Would love to see that Kalosian Watchog get a Regional Evolution, like the Obstagoon treatment
They should make Porygon G. With darker colors and a Durag and Glocks for arms.
You might be saying that because hopefully the ones in Paldea might need regional variants in previous regions like Alola, Galar, and Hisui
0:53 So Porygon 3?
if older regions got paradox forms an convergents
That Falinks goes hard. Amazing job.
